Ooo, that sounds like fun @nimmle!!!

My mum may bring my niece and nephew over today. H is at work for a whopping hour today - thankfully it's a short drive, or I'd have thrown a fit over the waste of gas. I finally dug the dogs' toys out from under the couch, so they're having a blast.
Tomorrow we have a house warming party to go to. Woo.

I was really looking forward to having no work this weekend but alas, I need to go back to a house for the third day in a row because it wasn't finished on time. It's not my client's fault, it's their general contractor's fault but I'm hella frustrated.

@SkilledSailor - Sorry you have to work! I'm thinking of having a drink or two tomorrow, but I also don't want to waste a test of AF hasn't shown up yet.

On the flip side, if I use all my tests this month, I won't be tempted to test next cycle, lmao.

ETA: Apparently I never answered your question -- if she brought them over, we'd all just hang out at our house. They love it here. Their mum doesn't give them attention (her games and BF are more important), so they love that the constantly get attention when they're with us. And DSS has too many toys, so they love playing with them. Since they can barely get in/out of their room, let alone get to their toys.

I know I'm not the only one who stalked BMBs, especially where your favourite grads may be -- but, am I the only one who doesn't hesitate to love-tit a post if I really agree with what someone's saying, or just love what they said?
I totally have found ladies on the BMBs who I wish were on TTGP while TTC.

@izza2 Well that breaks my heart about your niece and nephew. It's really nice that you're able to provide them a fun, safe space! As for BMBs, I lurk them somewhat but only love-tit a comment if I knew the person on TTGP.

@izza2 that is so sad about your niece and nephew. So glad they have you and your kids to help give them some happiness. Your DSS is also the one with the terrible home life with his mom, right? So thankful for your love and kindness with them.
I tend to not stalk too many other boards, mostly just for fun drama. I usually don't love tit other people, but I have a few times if I hugely agree with what they said.

*Potential TMI* Spending my morning at the doctor's, because of course my first yeast infection in years coincides with my first fertile week since DH came home. Meh.

At least later we're going to Ikea, and I'll get meatballs and feel better.

@izza2 that's so sad, about your niece and nephew. I was playing with mine last night at Shabbat dinner. DH taught our niece to say 'fake news' when her dad (his brother) tells her to do something.

@jsnakehole ugh yeast infections SUCK! Thankfully I haven't had one in a long while *knock on wood* I got them fairly often in my 20s when I had the nuva ring for BC. Also YH wins to day, that is hilarious

@lurvleybunchococonuts they're the woooooorst. It's been years since I've had one. The doctor looked at me for about 30 seconds- apparently it's a textbook case. While it's annoying, I'm relieved it's just that.

I quit my job on Tuesday, so I'll be on an extended weekend until Monday when I start my new job!

Today we are having a BBQ at the IL's and I'm going to try to grab a mani/pedi before we head over.

I'm definitely guilty of love-titing on BMB's and have even replied once or twice as a lurker (recipe sharing topic and I think one other thing maybe?). I'm the worst. I'm also following approximately 6434678533 about gear, registries, sales, coupons, etc.

@sandbar517 - Yup, DSS's bio mum is a douche canoe. Thankfully he only sees her every other weekend, so we can keep him normal 99% of the time!
Or at least as normal as possible.

Your DSS bio mom sounds like the one we have to deal with on this side too. Although I definitely would use stronger words in our case!

AFM: My weekend has consisted of planning for first day of school. It starts Monday and I just found out YESTERDAY what classes I am teaching. This is what happens when you're the part time permanent sub. They are getting a new database system for everything and no one is really prepared. So I'm not the only one feeling less than ready, but that isn't exactly comforting! I don't know what all classrooms I'm teaching in, I have no student lists or seating charts. I'm freaking out over here.

MIL had us check out a new church with her this evening. It was sooo awkward and uncomfortable. The pastor rambled, couldn't get to a very simple point, it was in a barn, it felt like it belonged in the Hill Have Eyes and I was waiting for the banjos to start at any moment. Thanks but no thanks. I will not be attending again.

AFM - I got some work done on prepping for my classes today, so I'm feeling a bit less stressed about the school year starting. Also made a tasty dinner tonight, so I'm feeling pretty good, all in all.

I woke up before my temping time just <i>miserable</i> with cramps and AF... thankfully I got comfortable enough to fall back asleep for a bit, before getting called into work an hour early. Got some groceries after work, found the last of ny meds on the porch, and then played with my CDs mostly for the rest of the afternoon. Lol plus laundry. Lol Now we have LOTR on and DH is sleeping on the couch. We are living it up!

Bad news is the truck keeps overheating!!! :s So DH has got to go to napa tomorrow to try and get working on it... coolant leak or something. Therefore, I bring you actual footage of me driving around instead in the jeep this coming week (with no a.c.) going to my early monitoring apts before work... Lol. Should be fun!!!! *typo

MIL asked if I was KU because MH told her we went to my friend's house for dinner, who owns a daycare. He told her when we had kids they would likely go there.

Then, her and FIL both made pretty offensive "jokes" about the population I work with for a living. They are not worth repeating, but for sure gasp worthy. I don't get how people can think such awful things are okay to say if they say "I'm just kidding." Overall, they're kind people. Especially FIL. However, I usually leave there feeling like crap due to MILs bluntness.

Oh! Out of the box now.

Otherwise, I had a great day. I went with MH to disc golf and on a walk. We went to TJMaxx. It was one of the best days we have had together in a while. Tomorrow, I get to go grocery shopping by myself again. Wooot!

@jrm_14 Thanks ya, as if stimming isn't stressful enough, now I have the added worry about the vehicles, too! Lol No, the second thing you said. Lauren Conrad? Although I'd like to think we looks kinda similar, but realistically skin tone/hair colours is probably about it.

@darkstar42 we play a bit of everything. Normally a few easy "ice breaker" games like werewolf resistance or pit, then I'll settle in for a 3 hour round of zombiecide or Arkham Horror. We tend to like co-op games with the potential for a secret betrayal or defector (shadows over Camelot, betrayal at the house on the hill or dead of winter)

@izza2 DH and I watched the leaked episode already. I was so stressed out the whole time. That's all I'm gonna say.

We always say our cat is naked when he pulls his collar off. He's been doing it less, which is good- we like the bell, so we know when he's coming.

Thankfully, my lady business is feeling better. We bought a couch at IKEA, but it won't be delivered for another week. I'm pretty psyched about it.
