DH(27) + Me (27) = 1/14
Baby #1: Aug. 2016
Baby #2: April 1st, 2018
Re: Fit Mom Friday 8/18
Pretty good. I've got 67k steps in so far.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
I went out and got a 4mile walk in even when it was spitty rain on Wednesday and I really didn't want to. Also got 27k in at the state fair on Monday... I also had a corn dog and cheese curds and pizza and.... I needed those steps. lol
What are your challenges?
Mainly the crummy rainy weather. Makes it hard to get out and walk.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
Early Fall. Where the days are still in the mid 60s-70s and nights are cooler for campfires and hoodies.
Baby #1: Aug. 2016
Baby #2: April 1st, 2018
lots of walking to and from work, a 7 mile run mid week, and 2 lifts so far. Gym tomorrow morning for low impact cardio and a good lift and maybe sunday too.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
I'm feeling good overall so i'm just riding that wave as long as I can
What are your challenges?
Right now its finding time.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
fall hands down. The weather change is everything for me. I loathe summer and being hot so fall, winter and spring are perfect!!
I did three spin classes this week and rejoined barre3 online.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
That barre3 was running a promotion where I got a
sixth month subscription for half price! Haha I love a deal. It's so expensive otherwise!
What are your challenges?
I'm starting to feel nauseous and finding it difficult to stay motivated.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
Spring! It means the end of tax season for me and the beginning of summer/freedom.
Good. I did both of my Krav Maga classes, yoga, over 10k steps everyday. Missed the one lifting day.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
I improved a lot in sparring. We don't hit that hard so I feel pretty good about it still. I just started last month and I am a lot less nervous and getting some good shots in.
What are your challenges?
Not going 100% or throwing myself into a yoga pose. I know the hormones can cause loose joints and I don't want to cause any lasting damage. I am super competitive and so that is really hard to take a step back.
It makes my really sad to think that when I tell my class, I might not be able to spar anymore. I know other ladies have done MMA up until their last trimester, but some teachers will not let you do anything but kata. Pretty much our whole class is contact or sparring so I hope I can still do some modification.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
Summer! I like the heat and sitting out or running.
How did you do for activity this past week?
biking with my kids and dogs, I've had to work overtime all week so that's the only time I've had. (Multitask, kids get to go to the park, dogs get exercise And so do I!)
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)? I'm feeling amazing. I upped my vitamin D dosage and my fatigue has been way better this week!
What are your challenges?
Just finding the time to get my move on.
GTKY: What's your favorite season? I love hot summer days and cooling off in the pool.
How did you do for activity this past week?
Not good. I am normally a very fit person but my job has been in overdrive the past two months and I fell off the lunch-hour-running wagon. This week hasn't been good but it is my full intention to start walking (some jogging) again next week?
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
I haven't gotten MS yet. Then again I'm not even four weeks. That will rear its ugly head towards the six week mark.
What are your challenges?
Keeping this pregnancy to myself. I am an open book with all of those around me and it has been very hard to not slip up.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
I like something about all of them. I would have to say, though, summer, because it's so care free. I love being outdoors and being active.
DS-9/2012
DD-7/2015
How did you do for activity this past week? Ran after a toddler. Ran through McDonald's drive through. Next day ran through Arby's drive thru
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)? Not puking 6/7 days this week.
What are your challenges? Having any sort of motivation to do things like even change the laundry from the washer to the dryer.
GTKY: What's your favorite season? Fall!
How did you do for activity this past week?
Not as good as the week before. Did a 3 mile run on Sunday, a 2 mile run yesterday, and I'm hoping to do a 4 mile run tomorrow if the weather is okay.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
Yesterday I didn't want to run at all. I forced myself and it was so worth it. I felt so much better afterwards.
What are your challenges?
Starting to get a little bit of morning sickness and that sucks. Also, the kids aren't in camp in the mornings anymore so my runs have to wait until the afternoon/evening and I don't have a lot of energy left by then.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
Fall. I love the crisp air and everything apple/pumpkin.
Ask me in two weeks when MS is sure to hit, though!
I'm on week 2 of Core de Force (BB program) so I've been following those workouts each day and then I teach a total body conditioning class at a group fitness studio on Tuesday nights.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)? I'm really starting to see more definition in my shoulders and biceps thanks to a sh!t ton of planks and pushups over the past 2 months.
What are your challenges? I gave up my afternoon caffeine so I'm finding that I'm struggling through the workouts I do in the evening. Trying my best to get them in during the AM before I go to work, but that's not always possible.
GTKY: What's your favorite season? Winter. Love the holidays, love the snuggly clothes and the excuse to lounge, the snow, and, generally, the cold weather. I'm always so damn hot. The winter is a nice respite for me.
Not well. Fell of my FitBit wagon, fell off my workout video wagon, fell of my walking nightly wagon. We spent the past weekend away and the week going to the doctors and celebrating DD's third birthday.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
My starting weight for the pregnancy wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be.
What are your challenges?
Getting back into a workout routine while starting school (I'm a teacher) again next week. Throw in grad class starting on the 28th and I might be in over my head.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
Fall, especially in the Northeast (where we live!)
Just ok. I do BB workouts and normally love the early morning workout session but i missed 2 days week. I normally workout 6 days a week but ms is kicking my butt. My nutrition has been carb based bc everything else makes me sick. I'm constantly mad dog hungry yet sick at the same time.
Bright points:
That i actually did workout this week. And seeing the babe on the u/s last night.
Challenges:
See question 1...food. I'm usually so nutrition focused. It makes me sad. I'm feeling weaker and winded and don't like it.
Gtky: fall!

This was the first full week of knowing I was pregnant. I think I let myself use that as an excuse, but I have also felt so fricking tired that I can barely make it to dinnertime before yawning. I did two hour-long workouts (wed and fri morning) but the rest of the time I really struggled! Got in some walking today but needed two naps to make it to now.
What are your bright points (celebrations big and small)?
I was not overweight at the start of the year, but not at my best. I wound up having a long and drawn out injury that resulted in a back surgery in April and I am still at a point where I feel grateful to live without pain, and be able to resume my workout regimen. My BIG celebration is that since I restarted working out before getting pregnant, I am confident in continuing that regimen (energy levels permitting). I am also SO motivated by the ladies on this forum. I gain so much knowledge and insight (and encouragement).
What are your challenges?
So tired, all the time.
GTKY: What's your favorite season?
Fall. In Southern California it is still warm but I get to wear more layers. My guy is always warm so at least during the Fall I can snuggle on him without him getting overheated
