With #1 I experienced some BH but not tons, maybe a few here and there. I delivered 8 days early. 4 years later here I am having tons of uncomfortable, borderline painful contractions. 2 weeks ago I was having about 10 a day, and today I had about 10 before lunch, but not in any regular pattern, mostly situational like standing up/sitting down, etc. I'm 34 weeks 2 days. I've been drinking lots of fluids recently so I don't suspect dehydration. I'm kinda freaking out because my parents are going to be traveling the first 2 weeks of September and I'm worried I might go early. What's your experience with BH?

Unfortunately, I can't predict if you'll have the baby early or not. However, I do recommend that you give your MW or OB nurse line a call if you have any concerns at all. They may want to have you come in for monitoring at L&D if it's happening a lot, especially if they happen without any reason (like standing up). It's still early for you to go into labor, and you want that LO to incubate as long as possible! Keep us updated, I hope everything calms down for you.

As for me, this is my second baby and I am having way more BH, especially at night. They happen when the baby is active, when my bladder is full, when I stand up, when I sit down, when I don't have enough water and when I walk too fast. They are uncomfortable, but I don't think they are doing anything to my cervix. If you're having a ton or they are accompanied by any of the other signs of real contractions/labor, calling your OB is a good choice.
