I selfishly started this because my DH is driving me bonkers (or maybe I'm just being crazy? IDK)! He is seriously dragging his feet on a few things and I just need him to get in the game. We have so much to do in our house, and I really need him to make some decisions and at least do a little bit of work on some of the projects we have over the weekends. I am trying not to bug him too much about it because he is working a crazy amount of hours (late nights and weekends) but he'll probably be working a crazy amount of hours for the next 6 months already and I can't do these things myself.

@justkeepswimming8 I hear you, I leave a list for DH on his days off and if he does one or two things on it I'm happy.

@peppersmith22 - aggressive perfume is the WORST. I feel like certain scents need to be banned if you work in a cube.

I need to bitch about home renovation. We are having our siding replaced right now (which is awesome!) but the crew shows up at 7:30am. Seven fucking thirty. I stay at home with the kids and we are barely eating breakfast at 7:30. Nap time is a mess because they're out there banging away allllll day. I'm going to take the kids to my parent's house all week so they can nap there, but that means I can't catch up on housework like I usually do during naps. Total first world problem, I know, but it makes me ragey.

@peppersmith22 perfume and BO are the worst. Can we all agree to just smell neutral at work? There's been a few folks at work I can't walk behind down the hall anymore.

@kmalls the siding was being replaced on our townhouse when DD was born. The conveniently were on our unit by the time we arrived home from the hospital. Our first couple weeks home were all hammering all the time...thankfully DD ended up being a fantastic sleeper! Siding is such a pain!!

So my issue today (as is it is most days) is the lady who sits in the cubicle diagonal from me likes to hum/sing/snap her fingers as she works. I've even asked her not to sing because it's distracting and I can't work. She claims she "doesn't realize she does it, so she'll try to stop." How do you not realize you're singing! Uggghhh.

My bitch today is about the lazy coworker in my office. Every Monday and Wednesday she has to put this thing together that gives info about what is going on around our facility. Well she wasn't at work last week so I did it and one of the days I did a production update. It had quite bit of detail since I needed to fill space. Well she just asked me if I could give her a production update for this thing. I told her sure but I did one last week. She said yeah she saw but she wants something with less words because it's confusing.

Which I don't know why i'm shocked by this because this is the same girl who filled in for me when I went on maternity leave last time and screwed everything up even though I sat with her for 6 months on how to do my work. But I guess when all you do at work is play on your phone and take half naked pictures of yourself in the bathroom to post on instagram, you can't except a lot from someone.

Okay - So I got laid off from my job at the start of July. I went to log onto my personal American Express account this weekend, but accidentally typed in credentials for my old corporate American Express CC. I find out that the company didn't pay the bill that was due in July, PLUS they have continued to use the card. I am furious.

I have since called the company and talked to HR and they are working on it. From there they said they were waiting for a few more invoices to come in and then they would close. They also only paid what was due, not the entire balance down. I have had to call back now to tell them to close the entire account, call the vendors and change cc on file, and if it is still open by start of business tomorrow I am calling American Express to put a hold on the account.

Seriously, WTF?!?!

I had an annual exam scheduled for my Pap smear on Aug 16th. I called this morning to let them know I was pregnant and asked if I can just keep the same appointment. They said no because I have to be 6 weeks. I'll literally be 1 day short of six weeks and the appointment is in the evening. COME ON! Now they moved my appointment to Aug 21st which I now realized I can't even do because we have tickets to see Billy Joel that night.... the one date night DH and I have had in months without DS.

Im so aggravated! I shouldn't have said anything and should have just showed up on Aug 16th and told them then. This is what happens when you're honest.

@julzy, that shiz happens to me ALL the time. Honesty gets me into so much trouble.

My bitchfest goes to the trainwreck that was potty training this weekend. I was convinced DD was ready, but all I accomplished was 3 tantrums, a billion carpet cleanups, and an argument with my husband. Holy crap worst weekend I've had in years. Best part is I used vacation time for the privilege.

@allowachick I'll be exactly 7 weeks at my new appointment on 8/24 now. It'll make for a better ultrasound but that's so much waiting. Bahhhh

@ngolimento that sounds terrible! Im terrified of potty training. DS just turned 2 and is no where near ready. I would love to get him potty trained before the new baby comes but also don't want to deal. Lol

I was wondering how potty training went for you @ngolimento. Sometimes I just want to sit my DD on the potty whether she wants to or not but I feel that will be traumatizing

@Dumbgurl04 I found that in the beginning you have to make them sit whether they want to or not just extend the intervals of time and see if they'll start to tell you first. I just tell C we have to try and if you don't go it's NBD. We're #1 Day trained. #2 is still work in progress. And nowhere close to night trained. Very few accidents and I still make him go every 1.5 hours because he never seems to say he needs to go. That's just my experience

@julzy I have been slowly introducing her to the potty ever since she turned two. I figured after 6 months of positive association (she now thinks it's awesome to sit naked and read on it), this would go more smoothly. No dice. I think she doesn't realize she's about to go. All we accomplished is getting her upset when she peed on the floor.

I feel like complaining about the rain. I hate rain. Especially when I have to do so much as go to the car in it, but even worse, when I have to deal with the carseat...like today. I wish it would rain overnight and be sunny and dry during the day, lol. It was cool/cold the past 3 days! It's August, and it was 65 degrees today...what?! It's definitely a nice heat break, but 65 is a little too low too quick.

Also, today is day 9 of my cold. I got a cold/BFP on the same day (that's actually the reason I took the test - wondering what's draining my immune system in July lol), so I couldn't take my normal stuff to get rid of it. So here I am, still coughing and dealing with my nose.

There are 2 more days to RSVP to my son's birthday party, and there are a couple people who haven't responded, and I KNOW I'm going to have to message them about it. It annoys the crap out of me. Like, I don't have all the time in the world (also money is a factor) to order the right amount of favors and wait for it to ship, plan the food, etc! Ahhhhhh!

ETA: This whole ticker thing is angering me. All I can get to show is a code. The post at the top of the page tells you how to do a signature, and how to get a ticker code, but not how to make the code work! I don't get it! I feel old. I used to know how to do this, lol.

@ngolimento I've been contemplating how to potty train my 2.5 year old. Sometimes she goes, most times she doesn't. I think I'm going to wait a bit before I push it.
Sorry it was so frustrating for you! I'm not looking forward to it.

It's technically still Monday, right?

Its my first day on this board - BFP this morning, so after moving over from TTGP, I checked out the various threads, and thought that this Monday, at least, I'd have nothing to bitch about. It's the best day!!!!! Well.

We're visiting my in laws this week. And so while DH and I are beyond excited, we don't want to share the news yet. To avoid being suspicious, DH is overcompensating by being a bit of a grump.

The fault in his plan is that I am a tad hormonal/full of feelings, so it's not going over well.

For those going through or wanting to go through potty training I can't recommend the 3 day method enough. DD was just over 2 when I committed 100% to it. She had no interest and I had never tried to potty train prior to doing it. She was night trained from the start. The only thing that took a couple weeks was getting the poop timing down since she was so used to standing up to poop.

Sadly, that was the method I was using. It went over like a lead balloon, so I guess she isn't ready
