Maybe an UO here, but I think it's too early for this. We're all just bloated- no actual baby bumps yet.
I agree. I cringe every time I see someone this early post a "bump" shot. Even if you're a STM+, I'm sorry, but you're not showing at 6 weeks. It's just bloat, and that's weird to be showing off bloat in my opinion. I get being excited, I do, but I feel like so many people are misinformed as to when the uterus comes above the pelvic bone.
I'm technically a Feb Mama (unless baby is ridiculously late), but I've never participated in HBDB before because stranger danger. Consider me a party pooper.
So just pretend this is my 11+5 bump plus poop. Lots of poop.
This is my 5th and i just had a baby 9 months ago so im actually showing. The more kids you have plus my womb not totally healing, according to the dr, im actually showing. I understand the location of the baby, but apparently my body is ready and showing. Be proud of your gas bloated tummies. Baby will fill that space soon. Hope you ladies have blessed pregnancies!!
It is very possible that your abdominal muscles have separated after that many pregnancies, which would actually make you appear more bloated earlier in pregnancy. But still impossible for your uterus to be above your pelvic bone at 9wks.
I get it. I wake up and feel like I am 6 months pregnant everyday. I have a 1 year old, and had another pregnancy immediately after she was born. This is my sixth pregnancy so believe me, I get it. But it doesn't change the fact that it is not physically possible.

Never said my baby was above my uterus! Ive been through this enough to know whats going on with my body. I am however proud of my gas and all that allows me to show this early. Its sad that so many of you all cant just enjoy being pregnant. The bump app actually encourages you to post pics each week in your own portion of the app. Some of you cringe and at early pics and some just have negative things to say. If youre not gonna post a pic of your forming little tummy that the baby will soon occupy then why even post anything at all. You ruin the experience for those who are happy to even know a baby will soon be in the the area that is now filled with "gas". Smh
I don't really think this is anything to argue over people who wanna post pictures should be allowed to without being bashed for it and if you don't wanna participate no one is forcing you too. It's just for fun.
Something about this is feeling a bit body shaming to me.
Everybody will look, show and react differently to pregnancy. Regardless of where uterus is or should be, women look different. Something about a couple of these posts smells and feels like body shaming...Almost as if to say "you shouldn't look the way you do yet."
Not saying any of it is intended. Just saying how I read it and how it reverberates with me.
I agree that people can post here or not and I actually think OP was courageous in posting this pic of herself! I am certainly too ashamed/embarrassed to, so go @neneconley!!!
@barrelocarol thank you for being so understanding. I read them and couldnt believe some people would be so condescending. I never post on forums. I normally just read them. This has encouraged me to go back to enjoying post without posting.
Fun factoid! My doctor measured my fundus to see what I was measuring because my DD has a hard time staying off my gut and I complained it was extra sensitive. Earlier this week I was measuring at 16 weeks (halfway to belly button) which is normal for multiples to measure 6-10weeks ahead... plus I have a ton of bleeding in there to help increase the size.
So multiple moms are probably starting to show now... I'm fat, so I just look extra bloated
Honestly, post if you choose, or don't, or avoid if it isn't your thing, because for some of us we will never post and that's ok! 6 pack (you suck), bloat, poop, baby, fine by me. More power to all of you that are brave enough in the first place. Whatever floats your boat.
@Cowboycorgi I'm about 10 weeks along and my abdomen has been so sensitive too! My daughter likes crawling all over me, and even the feeling of my husband resting his arm on me is painful. Twins run in my family, so I wonder if I might be joining the multiples club soon?
We hear heartbeat beat for the first time next Wednesday. I'm not sure when we'll get an ultrasound.
as for bump pics, I've seen quite a disdain for small/flat tummies on here, so I'll refrain from posting until I'm a little more obviously pregnant. Love your bodies, ladies. Please don't argue over whether you should be posting "bump" pics or not. It's your choice! You're all beautiful!
@neneconley Just be careful when you criticize someone for "not enjoying their pregnancy" no matter the context. This line hurt me because I'm not enjoying my pregnancy as I've already convinced myself it is over. You didn't need to include it.

I'm not sure why this went to body shaming. That's not something I'd participate in. I'm fat, so there's that. Everyone "should" look exactly how they do. I just don't think we should post pictures of gas/bloating/poop and call it a baby.
At this point, things are moving, shifting, ect and I think certain body types and/or STMs most definitely have some bump going on that is not composed of just food/gas. Post or not, look or not - let people do what they want and be supportive or hush :-P

I'm actually extremely offended that anyone would consider my comment "body shaming". I'm the furthest thing from anyone who would ever body shame. Also it has NOTHING to do with being skinny. I literally don't care if you have washboard abs, or if you carry more weight around your stomach. I'm going to side eye anyone who thinks their bump is baby at this point. I'll participate in the hdbd threads around 12 weeks, or when I know for sure my bump is baby. I don't see any harm in taking pics for your personal self to record your pregnancy. I did it last pregnancy. But I knew my blueberry sized baby wasn't actually showing
@babybluu the original poster clearly states something along the lines of "let's see those bumps even if it's bloat or gas." So clearly we are not saying it's a baby.
Nothing changes the fact that my stomach is bigger bc im pregnant.
This. I'm struggling with my STM six week bump because I'm a thin person and right now I just look confusing. I have to wear legit maternity pants and shorts and I look like I did when I was sixteen weeks pregnant last time, and I've never looked like this after eating a burrito. I'm not comfortable posting a picture of it, but I support the people who want to because this is what a pregnant body looks like because of pregnancy. Maybe we should stop saying "showing" (as defined by the uterus poking out) and start saying "looking pregnant."
