Hey everyone!
I was wanting to get some of some of yalls thoughts on when to take maternity leave. My office doesn't offer maternity benefits therefore I won't be coming back and I will get to stay at home with baby. But they asked me today what my definite last day would be. And honestly I don't know how to answer it. I want to work up until my due date but I'm also not going to make myself miserable about it. My due date is October 10th, and this is my first baby so I don't know if I'm going to be early, late, right in time or if I'm going to have issues towards the end.
Any advice or sharing when you are leaving work is definitely appreciated!

That being said, I like working up until delivery. I was not calm having to wait with nothing to do. It was pretty ridiculous how bored I was. The only leave I was grateful for was the being written out for my second, we had a new principle who was not good with discipline and there were multiple fights daily. Even then it was nerve wrecking just waiting around, better to keep yourself busy.
It never crossed my mind to take time off before the baby came. I didn't know this was a thing. Maternity leave is leave without pay for us, so yeah I will be working up until delivery with this one. Unless something happens.
I work for myself from home and have been since my first was born so I'll be working right up until baby comes, but that's ok bc I make my own hours and decide the workload I want to tackle
With my second, I don't work in a call center anymore... I am a teacher. I plan to work until I have my daughter and only take 8 weeks of maternity leave. But that's my plan... she might have other ideas
