Re: pregnant again!

  • @WeddingNotes13 I'm July as well- good luck to you and @MrsN092714 with your deliveries soon!

It has been a challenge chasing a toddler while pregnant but I also feel like keeping up with DD has made the time go by faster.  Last time I was driving myself crazy counting down the days and then I went 9 days late.

I recognized 3 others in July 17 and a few in May or June 17.  Lots of siblings on the way!  Feeling as good as I can for 36 weeks, I can't complain!  How about you?  I hope first tri treats you well!

  • @LiveNLove44 Congrats on your March 18 baby!!
@OperaSingerMommy This pregnancy has definitely flown by in comparison but these last few weeks have come to a screeching halt.  The thought of going over makes me want to cry!

  • I thought that I recognized a few names on the 17 boards!

@OperaSingerMommy  chasing a toddler sure he's made the time go faster! He has been sick as well, so that has made me more appreciative of each additional day that this July17 baby waits.

@MrsN092714 sorry to hear that things slowed so much! I can't remember your due date, but am thinking that your LO has arrived already. How are both LO's doing?

Do either of you have any tips for helping our O15 toddlers to adjust?

Congratulations @LiveNLove44! Did you get the dating confirmation that you anticipated that appointment?

  • @WeddingNotes13 I'm definitely nervous about DD adjusting!  I'm hoping to get out of the house as soon as I can after the new baby comes so that we can keep DD's toddler routine going as normal as possible.  I have the "I'm a Big Sister" book that we read to her often and I've started having her practice feeding/changing/rocking her doll.  I'm hoping she can feel like she's helping me if she takes care of the doll while I'm taking care of the baby.  I'm also going to make sure DH takes the newborn so that DD can get some alone time with me for a little bit each day.  Fingers crossed!

How are you feeling?  I'm not due until the 30th so I still have a few weeks.

  • @WeddingNotes13 LO is due tomorrow and we are still very impatiently waiting with 0 signs of upcoming labour.  Trying for a vbac this time so fingers crossed.  DS has been overly clingy and sucky but I'm trying my best to soak up the time we have left.  I think it's going to be a rough adjustment period for him!

@WeddingNotes13 everything is going great!  Ds is 20 months and Dr is 3 month's old and its been much easier than I thought it would be. Dd is a dream baby.  She has sttn since she was about a month old. So that helps a lot.   Ds is amazing!  It seems like he learns a new word everyday.  He's so smart and funny!  He's showing a lot of interest in the potty and has even told us a few times that he's had to go so I guess it's time to really start potty training. How's your Oct 15 baby?  How about your July baby? Have you had her yet?
  • Baby #2 arrived!  Team green went blue for the second time and we welcomed our sweet Lawson 9 days late on July 27.  He weighed 9lb6oz and was 21.25" long.  Didn't get our vbac as I spent 14 hours stalled at 2cm but everything went smoothly during my C section and I feel very good about the birth story I am left with.  I am slowly recovering but it's a lot harder with a toddler at home.

  • @bookshelfjunkie hoping you get that soon as well! How's your Oct15 baby?

@OperaSingerMommy we did some of the same things to help Aiden prepare. I wasn't sure how much good it was going to do, but it did help for sure! Aiden's first reaction was to pat the new baby. He loves to pat her belly while saying "aww."

@MrsN092714 Congrats and good to hear that you are still satisfied with your birth experience. That is a good sized baby! How did your first compare?  I cannot imagine c-section recovery with a toddler. How is your Oct baby holding up?

@Limie  How great that it is easier than what you expected! It is such a relief when #2 is easier.  So far, it seems that my July17 baby is easier than my oct15 was. I cannot believe that our toddlers are nearing potty training! How great that yours can recognize and communicate when he needs to go.
  • DD was born 7/24. I did all laboring at home and got to the hospital just in time to deliver. WithDS, I had to have pitocen due to labor stalling. It was such a relief to not need that this time. Labor was so much easier without pitocen that I did not recognize how far along I was and got to the hospital too 4 for an epidural. I was super upset and terrified, but DH and my doc were great and I made it through with only a few minutes of hysteria.

DD was 7lb 20in. She has been super healthy and generally calm since we got home. DS is super interested and sweet. At times, he is a bit dsngerous, such as wanting to climb into the bassinette or bath with her, but is adjusting fairly well so far. He is a little more whiney.
  • @WeddingNotes13 congratulations! So happy everything went well.  Your ds will adjust.  My ds gets better with his sissy everyday.  It's so fun to watch him interact with her.  You will love it!
