Well I'm trying to eat well (even though I feel I could eat everything) I had GD with my last pregnancy so I have trying to stick to the diet I was on with that.
Although right this moment I am eating a very yummy piece of chocolate cake that was brought into the office. My dad works at the same place as me and his birthday is saturday and he will be retiring at the end of this month so they surprised him with a cake that said Happy Birthday and Retirement (they did it today because he is taking tomorrow off, and because he doesn't want a retirement party). SO i'm in chocolate heaven right now
Just ate a lentil wrap from the work cafeteria. And forced myself to eat carrots, blahhh. My least favorite vegetable, but trying to be healthier for this baby.
But of course now I want chocolate after reading your post @Dumbgurl04
I had oatmeal with pea protein and peanut butter this am, tofu on my salad for lunch....already dying for a snack and I think we're doing tacos for dinner which usually i'm excited about but not so much right now.
My go to snacks (and being delivered from amazon today!) are Nogo organic vegan bars...been great for the train ride home each day!

Pringles. Original Pringles are my ms go to. For some reason they seem to be the only thing that settles my stomach. I just wish they were more nutritious!
I had a really long response and then read it and thought to myself does everyone really want to read that. UMMM NOPE. So short answer. I'm trying to stick as close as possible to the rules I followed with my gestational diabetes as I can. I'm doing fairly well but know where to I need to improve. If mom would stop inviting me for dinner b/c DH is OOT and feeding me carb heavy foods it would be much easier LOL. So far I'm not to nauseated this time around except first thing in AM so that helps.
I'm being careful to eat all the healthy foods I should, and I'm trying to limit junk, but I am eating all the time because I'm SO hungry. And tbh I'm enjoying this week or two where I can eat whatever I want before the morning sickness sets in.

and allll the mango berry polar seltzer!!!!
Nugo Dark Chocolate Mocha bars have no business being as good as they are!
I've been proud of myself for not eating too much junk. But that could be because right now sweet stuff doesn't appeal to me at all. Now that I'm KU I'm being better about trying to make sure there's good stuff in every meal - like sandwiches with sprouts (washed very well), avocado, tomato, and onion.
So far I've been able to stick to my morning smoothie habit which contains 1-2 cups of spinach, about 0.5 cup of frozen fruit, hemp protein, collagen protein, and a little matcha green tea. I make sure to take my prenatal at a different time of day so that the green tea doesn't block folate absorption. We'll see if I'm able to continue this habit if nausea takes over.
For snacks I usually eat Lara bars or something that's easy to carry around in my purse but still has some nutritional content.
And, you know, I'm all of 5 weeks pregnant, so FX I can continue good or at least decent habits. I'm sure there will be days where I eat a pint of ice cream.
Why does milk chocolate suddenly taste good? It is something I only eat when desperate for something sweet, but even then don't enjoy. Now I am enjoying it.
Strawberry smoothie with spinach, veggie burger with roasted beets and butternut squash, eggs with carmelized veggies, strawberries. Flounder and roasted carrots/broccoli planned for dinner and probably another protein smoothie before bed.
Side bar: I'm considered "obese" and was in the process of losing weight for almost 6 weeks before finding out yesterday that I'm pregnant. I think I'm going to consult my doctor about target calories and then try to find the appropriate 21 Day Fix Program Plan with regard to calories and eat as closely to that as possible with a few cheat days. You know. I'm like 2 seconds pregnant and full of good intentions.
Not much of anything. I am not getting sick (yet) but practically nothing is appetizing. I am forcing myself to eat a little every couple hours, because I will worse if I don't. I can consistently eat granola and have probably 2 or 3 a day. I also realized I have eaten a ton of eggs this week, I didn't feel like I was craving them, but I have had them probably 5 of the last 7 days and twice on 2 of them.
My mom has been making me eggs and oatmeal and take vitamins. I am trying to drink a lot of water but it makes my tummy hurt some. I have been feeling food but yesterday scared and hurt so bad I cried for a long time. I haven't been teased and made fun of so much in a long time. Thank you for not being mean to me. DH Paul brings home coconut cake and cookies from work and I like those a lot. Thanks, Maggie
I have been trying really hard to just focus on getting in nutrition. I had GD with my first, but I also have a history with Anorexia, so I need to be careful. I am currently seeing a nutritionist as well which is helping. Trying to get in nutrients, but also having fun with treats as well when wanted.
Not the mom here they are nice and also I have six friends on inbox messages. When I first talk on my first day I went to the wrong place but I don't go back there anymore. Thank you for being nice to me, Maggie
