@cmillar36 hugs girl. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you're nervous for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you! I have my A/S tomorrow too.

    1. How far along are you?
     How big is baby? 21+6

    2. How are you feeling? Pretty good. Headaches are really rough lately.

    3. How has PGAL anxiety been? Much much better.

    4. Have you passed your loss milestone? Yes

    5.
Any new pregnancy symptoms? Headaches have finally come for me. I suffered from daily headaches for over a year before seeing a chiropractor which fixed that.

    6. Are you feeling connected to the baby? Yes and no. I'm excited for the baby to come, but since I can't really feel her yet it's still kinda hard to believe.

    7. Have you announced? Yes

    8.  Any ultrasounds or appointments this week? Anatomy scan tomorrow!

    9. Who is your parenting role model? (A mother or parental figure in your life that you want to emulate some of what they do in your own parenting? What specifically did they do that you liked so much?)
I don't really have one. If I had to pick someone it would be bff from high schools parents. They were/are just so loving and involved, the exact opposite of my parents.

  • Big congrats @cmillar36 and @ktcakes87 on your upcoming anatomy scan! Best of luck today and can't wait to see those pics  <3<3<3o:)<3<3
  • @ktcakes87 thanks so much. Good luck to you too. Thinking of you. Mine isn't til 12:30 my time.

    @jackiesmom324 thanks.
  • How far along are you? How big is baby?

19 + 1 baby is a mango but measuring heavier at 10 oz according to my A.S.

    2. How are you feeling?

Still on meds for my morning (all day) sickness.

    3. How has PGAL anxiety been?

    Much better after my A.S.

    4. Have you passed your loss milestone?

    Yes.

    5. Any new pregnancy symptoms?

    Nothing new.

    6. Are you feeling connected to baby?

Yes I'm getting there. I have an anterior placenta so it's hard to feel baby still.

    7. Have you announced?

Yes although all my coworkers do not know yet. (Teacher)

    8. Any ultrasounds or appointments this week?

Nope nothing until the end of Aug.

    9. Who is your parenting role model?

Not sure I really have one. There are things I know I agree with and things I don't agree with. So far my SO and I are on the same page so that's a good thing.

Good luck @cmillar36 and @ktcakes87 on your up coming A.S.
  • 1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks and 2 days

    2. How are you feeling? Disconnected.  Everyone was super excited to find out we were having a boy and I feel, I don't know, nothing?  I still don't think I can convince myself that this is really going to happen.  My mom bought me sleepers yesterday and I just cried.  I'm hoping it's just a bad week and next week will be better.

    3. How has PGAL anxiety been?  It was really bad up until last week's anatomy scan.  It was reassuring to see the heart, kidneys, etc.  But now I just kind of feel numb.

    4. Have you passed your loss milestone?  yes, for both losses.

    5.
Any new pregnancy symptoms?  Lots of kicking and baby moving.  I wish my husband could feel the kicks.  I think it would help him feel better too.

    6. Are you feeling connected to the baby?
    Sometimes but not right now.

    7. Have you announced?
Yes just before 20 weeks.  We waited a long time and I'm glad we did.

    8.  Any ultrasounds or appointments this week?
Nope, nothing until Aug 17th.  But I get to see baby again then because he wouldn't let the tech see all of his heart.

    9. Who is your parenting role model? (A mother or parental figure in your life that you want to emulate some of what they do in your own parenting? What specifically did they do that you liked so much?)
My college roommate.  She's raised 3 amazing kids that are loving, know responsibility and are still a lot of fun.  I need some of that please!

  • Ugh. So ultrasound went well I think. Aside from the fact I need to go back for pictures of the heart. Baby wasn't in a good position for them. Little worried about it admittedly. The tech said literally nothing to me other than See is in 2 weeks. Which did nothing to alleviate my fears. I had tears at the end as a result. Out Trisomy18 baby had multiple heart defects so this is hitting me hard I think.
  • @cmillar36 I'm sorry you're worrying. I also have to go back because they couldn't see the heart well! The doctor said that it's nothing to worry about, it's just they couldn't see it!

  • @ktcakes87 I hope your right. I know my loss has made me paranoid. I hope my OB will have results on Monday so I can get some reasssurance. Everything else seemed to look good. So hope that's a good sign.
  • Hey @ktcakes87 and @cmillar36 I'm so glad your Anatomy  scans went well. If it makes you feel any better it's very common to have to come back in a month for more views of the heart. I'm so so glad that things went well for you both

@andipandicWed121369   I can not tell you how much it means to me to have someone else who understands this PGAL numbness and disconnection. People are recommending to me to journal and write to the baby. I really want to and I know this is a stupid defense mechanism but I've been having the hardest time finding time to do the writing. I haven't had my anatomy scan yet so may be I hope things will get better after that

  • @jackiesmom324 it does a little. Thanks  :)
  • 1. How far along are you? How big is baby?
    22 weeks tomorrow! I think a banana?
    2. How are you feeling?
    Physically, I've been great!
    3. How has PGAL anxiety been?
Off the charts. Our fetal echocardiogram is this Tuesday and I feel like I can't breathe until we get through it.
    4. Have you passed your loss milestone?
    Yep
    5.
     Any new pregnancy symptoms?

    8.  Any ultrasounds or appointments this week?
fetal echocardiogram at the MFM's Tuesday
    9. Who is your parenting role model? (A mother or parental figure in your life that you want to emulate some of what they do in your own parenting? What specifically did they do that you liked so much?)
There's too many to name just one! I generally admire those who are into gentle parenting, I learn so much from the way they navigate tantrums and behavior issues.

  • @thatlauragirl thanks for your update. Is gentle parenting like bringing up Bebe? Also I am so happy things are working better with this pregnancy
  • 1. How far along are you? How big is baby?

21 weeks tomorrow! Baby weighs roughly 13oz.

    2. How are you feeling?

Im feeling okay. Ups and downs emotionally because of his diagnosis.

    3. How has PGAL anxiety been?

It hasn't been too bad. I'm not so concerned with pregnancy loss anymore, just concerned about his health after birth.

    4. Have you passed your loss milestone?

passed my miscarriage, not passed the loss of my son

    5.
     Any new pregnancy symptoms?

    nope. Same old symptoms.

    6. Are you feeling connected to the baby?

I am which almost scares me more.

    7. Have you announced?

we did about a month ago!

    8.  Any ultrasounds or appointments this week?

i just had a fetal echo on Friday and the AS the week before. They still can't get all the views of the heart because he's stubborn. I'll be doing growth scans about once a month from now on. There have only been about 25 other babies diagnosed with MMA inutero so I think they're wanting to study how he grows.

    9. Who is your parenting role model? (A mother or parental figure in your life that you want to emulate some of what they do in your own parenting? What specifically did they do that you liked so much?)

my mom, as cheesy as that is. She has so
    much patience!
  • @jackiesmom324 Thanks for the note.  Sometimes I beat myself thinking I'm just being dramatic.  It's nice to know I'm not the only one to feel this way.

  • 1. How far along are you? How big is baby?
    21 weeks, 1 day

    2. How are you feeling?
Good!  My parents are visiting and I have been able to keep up.

    3. How has PGAL anxiety been?
    Okay.

    4. Have you passed your loss milestone?
    yes

    5.
     Any new pregnancy symptoms?

    Definite baby bump feels new.

    6. Are you feeling connected to the baby?
I have an anterior placenta, so feeling movement is hard. But having a bigger belly reminds me if the baby all the time.

    7. Have you announced?
yes. We went fully public after the anatomy scan.

    8.  Any ultrasounds or appointments this week?
     No.

    9. Who is your parenting role model? (A mother or parental figure in your life that you want to emulate some of what they do in your own parenting? What specifically did they do that you liked so much?)
yes, my mom. She's very respectful and loving.
