I haven't felt anything yet but I'm still only 12wks. I know some others moms who are a little farther on have tho! I'm not sure there is much you can do to get her to move more at this point. Movement is very irregular this early on and nothing to worry about. Just enjoy it when you do feel it.
Also, this discussion would be great in the symptoms thread.
I feel flutters every now and then mostly if i lay flat on my back i start feeling them last week right before 12 wks started. I wasnt sure if it was the baby or not til that US because i wotned the us technician that i swear i can feel movement she rolled her eyes i said well then good luck. I was right the baby gave her such a hard time to gather the measurements needed
I can feel mine , I'm 15 weeks . The baby that sits on my left , moves a lot . I think it's baby B who is higher . On my 13 week ultrasound I couldn't feel them on the outside but baby b was a mover and a shaker ! ( I also didn't know there were 2 at my ultrasound ) . With DD orange juice always made her move but I was much further along before she really started moving not just flutters like 20 ish weeks . I think her dad felt her at 20
I felt little flutters about two weeks ago and haven't felt anything since. I can't wait to start feeling baby more. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow so hopefully should start feeling more movement soon.
Can you tell where your baby is at by feeling it? I press on my stomach trying to figure out if I can feel something but I dont even know where the baby should be or what general area lol. Then I freak out that Im bothering it so I stop. Yesterday I thought I felt something but it very well could have been gas (baby's gas, not mine, I had to explain to the husband its the baby, not me)
@livingoffpbjs At this point you can't feel the baby by pressing your stomach, you'd only be feeling your uterus. You may be able to tell where the baby is located if you feel the baby move and judge the general location, if that makes sense. You won't be able to feel on the outside until after 20ish weeks.
I can feel little movements here and there. Have for about 3ish weeks, but like PP this is my 3rd baby and 5th pregnancy.

Felt my first definitive kick this morning! It is a lot earlier this time (16 weeks) than last, but I know what it feels like now and I previously had an anterior placenta. I don't remember for sure feeling my first until closer to 22 weeks. I was kind of a basket case about it. It is the best feeling having that little bit of reassurance.
I'd like to chime in here I think it is okay to have a thread just about movement... so maybe we can rename this one? BUT I swear I felt something three times starting ~15 weeks. I'm a STM and was certain... but yesterday I found out I have an anterior placenta which I know for some makes feeling movement more muted etc. Anyone have an anterior placenta now or previously? Also baby was very chill and didn't move too much even when the US tech bumped him. I'm hoping this means he sleeps well
@EmilyLove25 I had an anterior placenta that laid very low. I had a hard time feeling my son move until about 18-20 weeks. However if yours isnt super low, maybe you'd still be able to feel baby? Idk. 3rd baby and I'm still no pro lol

I am just over 15 weeks and have felt the baby move just a couple of times. ❤❤ Last pregnancy it was closer to 19 weeks before I felt anything and like 22 weeks before DH could feel her too.
I'm almost sure I felt him move on my birthday last Wednesday (I was 16 weeks), but I haven't felt anything since then......I read someone describe the feeling as a "nudge from inside you" and that's what I felt.....but I'm a FTM and might have just REALLY wanted to feel him move lol. Either way I'm saying I felt him and it was an awesome birthday present!
I thought I felt something a week ago..kind of a popping sensation. I am not really showing yet but I can feel a slight bump and a hard round area when I lie down...so I can feel baby there which is pretty cool.
I started feeling the flutters at 14 weeks. Nothing since. I can only feel in quite moments when I'm lying down. Having a toddler, quite moments are hard to find. Needless to say I haven't felt much since then. I can't wait until 20+ weeks when they are more defined and you can actually see them too. Coolest thing ever.
@emilylove25 I also have an anterior placenta. I'm only 13 weeks, but I swear I've been feeling the little bean rolling around in there. It's also my second pregnancy, and I'm super petite, so there isn't a lot of places for the poor kid to hide. It definitely feels more like an eel rolling around in there rather than bubbles or flutters. It was the same for me with DS. People said it would feel like butterfly wings, I said, nope, that's a bat! The first time I felt him was around 15 weeks.
Yep. Hand raised. Feeling this kiddo for sure. It's just a few times a day that I notice at this point. Always catches me off guard. Definitely baby kicks though!
My due date was also moved to 12/30, @huskymomma94. I started feeling flutters at about 14 weeks which surprised the heck out of me because I didn't feel DD until about 20 weeks (anterior placenta). I'm s STM, and don't have an anterior placement this go-around so I suppose the early flutters make sense. Then, I didn't feel LO for about two weeks, until last night, when I felt some definite nudges (rather than flutters). I'm 17+3 today.
Could have sworn I felt something a couple days ago. I thought it was gas, but then I didn't have that "gassy build up" sensation after... then it happened again. So I think it was baby:)
It's too early for me to feel anything yet (FTM at 14+2) but my doctor says baby is unusually active. Every time we try to find it on the doppler it's squirming so much it's hard to find. She joked that baby has ADHD... which would not be a surprise since DH has ADHD. She also once referred to it as a "challenging boy child" because it "squirms like a little ninja." Ha. (We still want a girl. 5ish weeks till we find out!)
I'm 14w5d but I'm pretty sure I've been feeling kicks since about 13w3d. That seems insanely early to me since I didn't feel any movement with my first pregnancy until 20w exactly, but it really just feels like kicks! Not even flutters, like real teeny tiny nudges inside my belly! I've only felt it while laying down and not frequently. Maybe 4 or 5 kicks total so far, but it makes me so happy! Feeling the baby move is truly the best part of pregnancy ♥️
I thought I felt some flutters when I was laying on my belly the other day... But haven't been able to replicate it. Still early. FTM, 16 weeks today... So I'm just going to continue to wait till I can feel it more consistently
Crazily I've been feeling movement for weeks now. I've got a VERY short waist and nowhere for baby to hide. Felt my first baby at 14ish weeks. This time it was before 12 weeks. I'm now 15+5 and actually saw a tiny movement on the outside. So crazy, I didn't believe it at first but then saw it a couple more times. A fear the pain this boy will inflict on me in the coming months
@EmilyLove25 I had an anterior placenta last time and I don't remember feeling DS move until closer to 28-30 weeks. But that's likely due to being a ftm, having the anterior placenta and being super overweight. I bet you'll be feeling movement soon, if not already, considering your body type. I think I just had a lot of room for him to move and not be felt.
