Hey ladies! I am currently about 6 weeks along. This is my 3rd pregnancy. My first ended in a d&c due to the baby having turners syndrome

my son was born at 33 weeks due to my pre eclampsia and spent a month in the nicu. He is 6 and will be 7 at time of delivery!
Any other mommas have high risk pregnancies previously? Hoping and praying for a completely different pregnancy this time around! Feeling completely nervous and anxious!!!
Re: High risk?
Also feel free to introduce yourself on the intro thread if you haven't already!
So I think I am considered high risk at least right now because I have an IVF baby. Not sure if that will stick with me all the way to birth though.
Maybe ask your doctor what you can do this time to prevent pre e again? Are there dietary things you could do? Not sure!
Oh and btw please add a TW (trigger warning) if you talk about loss. It's just a nice way to prepare other loss mamas that you're going to mention it.
After a while it is amazing to be treated average!
I am restricted on lifting (I'm a nurse so I'll try but I'm pretty used to pushing, pulling, and lifting people), exercise, and even some safe medications. I'm taking progesterone and high dose folic acid. That's really it though. I have to go back for another ultrasound in two weeks and I'll have an official ultrasound at 12 weeks.
This time around my doctor recommended taking a baby aspirin (81 mg) daily to help prevent it, so I recommend asking your doctor about doing that. I've seen recommendations to take calcium supplements and plan to ask my doctor about that. I'm also going to try to exercise a little more during pregnancy than I did with my first, though I'm not sure if that really affects anything (just want to feel healthier overall this time around).
My doctor also explained that the chances of preeclampsia are highest in the first pregnancy, though the chances of having it in subsequent pregnancies if you had it in your first are higher than someone who didn't have it in their first pregnancy. Still, my doctor didn't seem concerned about it, and I'm not considered high risk for now, it's just something we'll be mindful of and monitor more later in the pregnancy.
Here's some info that might help:

@chasingroygbiv I am so sorry to hear about your loss
But thank you for the advice! I am going to talk to my doctor about it on Friday. What annoys me is that she told me the moment I find out I'm pregnant, to give them a call so they can get me in right away to monitor the FVL but when I did, they didn't seem in any rush, which made me more nervous.
@isntthatspeshul thank you! I will be sure to ask about the baby aspirin. I took it on a regular basis before I got pregnant but wasn't sure. When I asked the lady at my OBGYN that scheduled my appointment she said to stop for now until they can do more testing.
