I had my 16 week US Thursday, and it went well. Babies are measuring 6oz each and are the same size, which is excellent! My next Appt isn't until the anatomy scan August 2.
How are you feeling? Any new symptoms or changes this week?
Feeling good. I'm starting to get uncomfortable lying down and I have full on restless leg syndrome every freaking night, but whatevs. Small price to pay for these littles. Also, my nausea has be n creeping around sometimes. Go away nausea! Stay in the first tri where you belong!

When are you guys going to sign up for your parenting classes? I'm thinking after 20 weeks for the actual class, but I may sign up now. I have so many things that I have no idea about lol. Toddlers and kids, I know inside and out - I've been a nanny for 10+ years. Babies...now that's a whole new ballgame. I know basically nothing about them and they terrify me lol.
No rants for me today - I've got a good thing going over here. My housekeepers came yesterday and I went grocery shopping. Tonight I've got plans for my belated bday dinner with my 2 besties and then we're going to see an awesome group (Run the Jewels) play at my friends venue. Should be funny being one of the only pregnant people at hip hop show, but it's cool

Any upcoming appointments this week? Nothing this week, but trying to get my anatomy scan moved up a week so that may change!
How are you feeling? Any new symptoms or changes this week? Finally feeling pretty good, although the stretching pain has been much more intense lately (which makes perfect sense because I'm getting BIG). I've been feeling the baby move for about 2 weeks now, which is super cool but also a really weird feeling. The baby vs. bladder battle has also gotten really intense!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: My husband ruined my favorite maternity dress today (it was hanging to dry and he pushed a pair of black shorts with bleeding dye up against it). We ordered another one but now I have to wait for it to come and then get it altered again and by then there's going to be like a month left of summer. No big deal in the long run but considering how hard clothes are these days I was none too pleased! Rave: Almost halfway there!
GTKY: Who would play you in a movie? Pics welcome! Ah that's a hard one! Maybe Mila Kunis...? She's got me by a few inches but she's still on the shorter side, plus the brown hair, unusual eye color, and somewhat quirky personality probably make her the closest match.

@Piccola1988 I'm always in the bathroom lately. I feel like the twins are dancing on my bladder. That sucks about your dress. I mistakenly washed my dresses with a new hot pink dress and now two others have a pink tinge on the white parts. One of them looks OK, like it's made that way, but it ruined the other one.
@Kirss Sugar gliders are so cute! I'm so excited for or anatomy scans! Mine is on Monday as well.

Feeling good, besides having wildly dry eyes all this week. Belly popped this week, and I'm feeling a little whale-like and a little self-conscious. The increased belly attention makes me feel weird.

Anyone else having weird body feelings? I'm already having a lot of post-baby body thoughts and worries. I'm not generally self-conscious and I'm a super body positive person. I didn't think I would experience these types of feelings whatsoever, on the contrary I thought I'd be rocking this bump and totally fine with all the changes. It just feels like the changes are happening faster than I can adjust, people are paying so much attention to the changes, and it feels a little 'final,' like there is no going back to my pre-baby body. Anyways, I appreciate having this group of like-minded folks in similar weeks of pregnancy to share these thoughts with!

Feeling fine. Nothing new really. Maybe a little hungrier? I did wake up last night at 2am starving, which is not normal for me. Usually I only wake up to pee.

Any upcoming appointments this week? Nothing this week. My next one isn't until late next week, and then it's a zillion appointments in 1 day.
How are you feeling? Any new symptoms or changes this week? Overall still pretty good. I can tell that I get tired/overworked easier than below, and then that makes me feel gross. But most days I'm good and so I can't complain.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I've made really good progress on my registry the past couple weeks, which puts the Type-A planner in my at ease. I'm trying to give people one online option (Amazon) and one brick-and-mortar store option (Babies R Us), but it bugs me that there are certain items that I can't find at both locations (and even some that I can't find at either location).... I might have a small Buy Buy Baby one just for the few items that I can't seem to find on Amazon (who would have thought there was something Amazon doesn't have) or BRU - for example Buy Buy Baby has waterproof pack n play sheets that I want, but the other places don't carry it. All I need to add to my registry is nursery decor stuff, since I will probably finalize our paint color within the next week or two.

@barrbaby-2 i have also been away from the boards for a while. i go through little sprints when i am feeling good. haha! and i feel the same way about the body changes-it is surreal.
@moonlady-2 i know how you feel about the daycare stuff. it is hard! and i get emotional thinking about it. i have a different situation this go around (my MIL is going to help out for the first couple months after i go back to work), but i am already nervous about next summer!

20 weeks, the size of bananas, though that one seems odd to me. I guess it's just length.

We just had the 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound this morning. All looked great! It was beyond amazing to see the little one squirming around, flipping, and standing on their head doing what looked like yoga poses. We aren't finding out sex.

Just had my anatomy scan today! We're having a boy and a girl!!! I just wanted at least one girl, so I'm over the moon happy! The babies looked great and the only issue they mentioned is that I currently have a low-lying placenta, but they said it could move, so I'm not stressing about it yet.

My ulcerative colitis is still flaring, so that sucks, but otherwise I'm feeling okay.

My 6 year old stepdaughter just flew in from UT on Friday and is staying with us for the next two weeks. She has high functioning autism, so sometimes she can be a challenge, but overall she's just an amazing kid and I'm so glad we get to spend this time with her. She's so excited about getting a little brother and sister (and suggested yesterday that we name the girl Hello Kitty lol).

There are very few people who look like me. I think the closest match would be a grown up version of Lilla Crawford. When she played Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, I had multiple people tell my she looked just like me.

How are you feeling? Any new symptoms or changes this week? I'm feeling good pregnancy wise and jet lagged because I'm in London for a short work trip. Strangers are starting to notice my bump enough to ask whether I'm pregnant!

i had my first real OB appointment on Tuesday and got my prenatal labs drawn. Found out ive gained 14 lbs since I started the pregnancy. On top of the 4 lbs i gained during IVF i definitely will have my work cut out for me. i also tend to be body positive but its something that is stressing me out for some reason.

Im feeling ok, i am getting occasional round ligament pain but nothing i would say thats too painful. ive definitely gotten way more carpal tunnel this week. i went up a glove size in the operating room and have had times where i could barely feel my fingers and had to kind of stretch them in the OR. i hate that but im not sure what else to really do about it. nausea came back this week to for me. ugh im still bloated like a blimp. i tried reducing my dairy intake and chewing less on ice.

rant is why ive been feeling so body negative recently. its bothering me but im not sure what really to do about it. i still do not feel that connected nor bonded to the baby yet. i am pretty sad because i think it has a lot to do with PGAL and it just does not feel real that the pregnancy is "sticking" i just keep waiting for something to happen and the other shoe to drop. ha i guess im not in the most positive head space. im sad today because i found a kitten last friday on my walk to work and i was planning on fostering her until i could find someone to adopt her. well someone adopted her today and although i was really happy she would have a forever home i really miss her and it made me so happy to have her around. its sad to think i am bonded more with that little kitten than the human baby growing inside me! opps!

There are not many options when it comes to dark skinned celebrities who wear their hair in a natural texture style (as opposed to straightened) so I would be honored if Viola Davis played me. Shes the closest I could find in terms of skin town, face shape and overall build. Although now that ive gained a bunch of weight with ivf and pregnancy im probably looking like what she looked like before she lost a bunch of weight! ha.
