@fishsticks-n-custard. Did you get another chance to try out your Ava? @dukestar5. There is a newer fire station by our home that is all 1 level. I read an article a while back in how many fireman have been hurt by poles. We are laying out in the sun with an inflatable pool, like classy people. This evening we are going to dinner & a 90's themed night. @Darkstar42. What movie? @glitzandglitter. Saturday plans?!? @lurvleybunchococonuts love for all the crafts! We have a local drink&craft place I want to try soon. @Stargazer1lily glad the humidity is gone. They're is a nice breeze here.
@jrm_14 Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. It was fun, but the lead actors could have been better. I think they were aiming more at a teen demographic than we were expecting. The theater has comfy recliner seats though, so that's always worth a trip.
@dukestar5 It was two story (I *think* there was a second story, I saw stairs at one point) but all the living quarters, kitchen, offices, etc were on the first floor with big doors leading out to where the trucks were parked. I found out one of the medics I know is stationed there (they were on a run but I asked what squad number was stationed there). At my grocery story, the pom wonderful brand (bubbly looking bottle, in the produce section) has small 8 oz bottles which are actually cheaper per oz than buying the big bottles so I get those for work. Then there a Langers brand in the non refrigerated juice aisle that I keep in the fridge at home. I usually drink between 8-16 oz a day but I have no idea how much you're supposed to drink!
@jrm_14 I used it last night. Still had issues with syncing it this morning; had to unpair and reset to get it to sync. Then it gave me the exact same temperature as yesterday which I find highly suspect.

@fishsticks-n-custard it's funny you've looked into the amount you can gift. 11k seems low, hmm I might have to reevaluate some of my goals, not quite enough to help the rents retire...
GTKY: What would you do if you won the lottery? I would build our dream house, buy an apartment in Vancouver, BC, quit my job, buy a couple of Tesla model X, travel, and invest most of it.
@cards10 Just looked it up and it's actually 14k now. It's how much you can give away per person per year without incurring gift tax. (And, why yes, I am very neurotic about my daydreams sometimes). You can gift whatever you like, you just get into some tax implications at higher amounts.

@ChloandCoco Are you my secret non-evil twin? Depending on how big the lottery payoff is, I'd love one of those little colourful houses in Kits, or an apartment on Beach ave.
@stemgirl11 I know, it's pretty dire right? We started off with maybe 15%, and I was the only one who graduated.
@_darth That's just so sad I know some programmes that have less than 5% of women (a good friend of mine recently graduated from a programme like that). I've been trying to figure out why women in this field are so few and far between, but I'm still not sure. I get that maybe not all parents and teachers are supportive of girls going into STEM, but I have no personal experience on that. My dad's a retired engineer and he's always been super proud of me and told me that I should never think I'm any worse than the men.
@_darth DH and I lived in Kits for a few years before moving back to Alberta. I would love a house In Kits, but it would be a vacation property so an apartment would be enough.
@stemgirl11@_darth right there with ya! My engineering class was about 25% female and that was the highest percentage that had ever gone through. It's going in the right direction!
@fishsticks-n-custard. Boo. Have you thought about temping a few days and using the bracelet? I wonder if it will follow the same graph but just be off for the actual tell? Does that make sense at all? I hope it ends up working out for you. Where do you (&others)but ubiquinol?
@stemgirl11@cards10 My industry (I am was a software engineer in embedded/photonics) is often outright hostile towards women. We are on the right track, carving a path for those to come, but it takes a heavy personal toll and for a lot of women there is no support network and no recourse so they end up leaving. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do when I finish my master's, but re-entering the industry outright is out of the question for my own well-being. Leaning towards research and community support, most likely.
@dukestar5 next steps are CD3 testing tomorrow, saline sono, genetic counselling (on the phone) and stimms for IVF start with my next AF, around Aug 15th!!!! Yay!!!

I went out for a run at 5:30am and discovered the garage wide open. Luckily, the lights were off all night and nothing seemed to be out of place. Still a little disconcerting!
@dukestar5 I got in 22 miles between last Saturday & yesterday (I wanted to do the weekend's long run early so I didn't have to do it on vacation. ). I have several races that I'm contemplating but the next one I'm already registered for is a10k on September 24. How about you?
I'm so late tonight and on mobile so no tagging tonight. The only thing I'll add is yes it's current $14,000 for the amount you can gift without preparing a gift tax return--but depending on the situation it could be $56k. I.e. You give 14 to your mom, you give 14 to your dad, spouse gives 14 to your mom, spouse gives 14 to your dad= $56,000! Each year!
