  • 1) How far along are you
    ? How big is baby?
18 weeks. A sugar glider! Haha
    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings?
    perfectly fine. No cravings

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing? No- not till the end of the month. Barely showing.

    4) Any appointments this week/last? No

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not quite a rant- but I see the posts about symptoms and feel that I can never participate- like I'm not really pregnant enough. Haha. No mood swings (so no crying) no physical symptoms (yay!) no weight gain... but sometimes I'm like... am I really pregnant? Is something wrong? But Dr appointments always go well.
    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served? Pizza in Italy. At the pizza makers house in his outdoor brick oven. Yummmmm

  • 1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 18 weeks. size of a sweet potato

    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings? Feeling pretty good, though I have had occasional bouts of dizziness/feeling like I am going to pass out. I think I need to drink more water. No crazy cravings so far

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
Don't know the sex; kind of showing, mostly just look like I've gained weight I think

    4) Any appointments this week/last? Had an unnecessarily long appointment last week. Everything seems to be on track. Next appt is for our A/S on Aug 3

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served? Possibly the best ever was in Paris at Astrance. Only Michelin-starred restaurant I've ever been to. We went for lunch and it was amazing. Multiple courses, delicious. It was also our honeymoon, so it is a great memory.

  • 1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 18 weeks - size of a croissant

    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings? I feel fine, about back to my normal self.

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
Team pink - I can tell I am showing but others probably can't.

    4) Any appointments this week/last? Honestly I have no idea when my next appointment is. Next week maybe?

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions? When do we do the initial GD test? I can't remember for the life of me. I suppose I could google...

    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served? Oh man. There have been a few, but we went to this amazing steakhouse for my mom's 60th and everything was just perfect. No one held back, we all ordered what we wanted and plenty of it. The steaks were cooked absolutely perfect. The service was stellar. The only thing that could have made it better is if I could have imbibed - I was pregnant with DS lol.

  • 1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
    19 weeks - mango
    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings?
Pretty decent! Tired at the end of the day, but otherwise good. I have been craving a big ol' tequila filled margarita with lots of salt! I think I might indulge in ONE, one day. But man, I think about them every damn day haha
    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
    we find out today! Yes
    4) Any appointments this week/last?
    anatomy scan today!
    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I just cannot believe how much I am feeling this baby move, inside and out! I am really curious to find out how big it is estimated to be! Also, DS was head down from the 20 week scan, so hoping this baby will be too!
    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served?
Oh man, I've had a few good ones. I'm a bit of a foodie.

One that comes to mind was at a restaurant downtown that doesn't exist anymore. They had a bison rib eye on special and the meal came on TWO plates, one for the sides and one for the steak itself. It was the most well cooked, juiciest, flavorful steak I've ever had. Which is good because the plate(s) cost $73! I didn't realize that when i ordered it! haha

  • @cait5413 i've had some of the dizzy spells too but just recently. I started drinking more water too. I don't think the summer is particularly agreeing with me (it's 90 in Boston today ughhhhhhhhhhhh)
@flowerpower5838 my ob said we'd do the test around the start of the third tri I think (so 27ish weeks?)
@kvacmak yay good luck today!! :)

    1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 20 weeks, a banana! HALFWAY THERE CELEBRATION DANCE!

    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings? I'm feeling very good except for daily heartburn (I combat with one Tum as needed), and recently, some dizzy spells. Just trying to drink more water. No cravings really, everyday is different.

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
We're having a girl, and yes totally showing. I feel like I look more than 4 1/2 months pregnant.

    4) Any appointments this week/last? Next appt is just a check-in on 8/8

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions? just.. annoyed at summer. Every year after the 4th, I'm usually feeling over it and patiently wait for Labor Day weekend. This year I'm especially feeling it -- I'm as pale as I've ever been this time of year just because I have no tolerance for the heat.

    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served? This is hard as there are a few contenders, but possibly the best was while I was living in NYC and my family came to visit me. I took them to Vezzo in midtown during my lunch break and we sat outside at a cute little table canopied by trees and there was a nice little summer breeze. No one had any expectations about the restaurant -- I simply picked it because it was close to my office. We ordered white wine and a pie with peppers, onions, and pepperoni, and not only was it the best pizza I've ever had, but it was the best meal I think I've ever had. My mom still talks about it and this was like 10 years ago.

  • @cait5413 I've been dizzy too. I was with my last pregnancy and I was a little anemic, I'm going to ask my OB about that at my next appointment. But it could also be dehydration, or just standing too fast!
@flowerpower5838 Mine was at 26 week appointment both times, maybe that is early? I think it is usually around third tri
    @holzie-2 ohh I love bruschetta!!

    1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 20 weeks! Halfway there! Had our a/s today and baby is 12oz.

    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings? I feel Ok. I crave Mexican food. Give me all the tacos.

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
Baby boy, absolutely 100% confirmed today. And yes, I have a visible bump. :)

    4) Any appointments this week/last? A/S today. Next OB appointment is Aug 1. I won't post next week because we'll be on vacation. Yay!

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Today is my birthday. Best gift of all was hearing baby boy looks completely healthy. Such a relief. I am getting SUPER nervous about a third c/s. I have to stop googling horror stories.

    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served? Gosh this is tough. I love good food, love it. I would say one meal that stands out was from our honeymoon in Hawaii, we ate at Mama's Fish House in Maui and every single thing we ate was just out of this world. The wine, apps, entree and dessert were something we still talk about - 8 years later.

    1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
    18 weeks a sweet potato

    2) How are you feeling? Any cravings?
super tired, still. I have my good moments where I definitely feel more like myself and awake than I did a few months ago but I still burn out super quickly. I'm tired by the end of the day and exhausted by the end of the week

I can't walk more than 20 minutes at a time or my low back hurts.

I could cry at the drop of a hat. I spent Saturday morning in tears for almost no reason lol.

I seem to be very congested and my ear aches off and on for the last few weeks.. maybe not pregnancy related but my what to expect book suggests that congestion is a symptom for some.

I had cravings between weeks 6-9 I think. Tacos and fries supreme ( but no beef on the fries) from Taco Bell. I never gave in and I'm over that.
My aversion to protein seems to be subsiding as well. Yay.

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
    not til aug 3
yes. Everyone today was mentioning I've popped. But I'm sure it was just a little bump even a week ago. Definitely can't wear non-mat pants anymore.

    4) Any appointments this week/last?
    no.

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm over everyone telling me I'm going to be tired for the rest of my life. I feel like I've been fighting a flu for the last 3 months. If I'm this tired for the rest of my life, I want off this ride haha!
Im also kinda excited to be going to a high risk ob. The high risk ob's in my area won't let you go over due. According to my math I'm due Dec 21 but was measuring small on US 1 so they put my date at Dec. 25. Pretty sure, I hope OB won't make me be induced on Christmas Day. So, I'm hoping the ob gets the baby out one way or another on or by dec 21 and I can be home for the weekend to relax and wait for Xmas but everyone reassures me there will be no relaxing and that it never goes "as planned", which I get, but I think the high risk OB may give me a different advantage. So..
    1. Don't rain on my parade. I've been post surgery before, I'd much rather be recovering at home. (Not saying I'm doomed for a c-section but whatever the recovery ends up being I want to be home).
    2. I have a great support system. I don't anticipating needing to do much except care for the baby (i.e. No folding laundry, doing dishes, getting groceries) therefore it will be relaxing, maybe just in a different way. The baby can stay close to me and I don't have to run it up and down the stairs a million times. I can sit on the couch and rest.

    6) GTKY: Best meal you've ever had? Where were you and what was served?

im surprised nothing is coming quickly to mind. We had a good restaurant in town that I liked better than the keg but it's closed. I really like the steak and avocado sauce recipe I make. Lol.
I guess one of the best meals was with my now late boyfriend at this small Italian restaurant somewhere in Toronto. Good memories. Miss him and everything in that moment was perfect, we went there 2x while we dated.

  • @dilbert890 You may want to try a maternity support belt if your back is bothering you. I got one to try to cut back on RLP and it seems to help some and provide some back support. It's great you have a good support system; you'll be able to get more rest that way. But I still wouldn't expect it to be relaxing!

  • @cait5413 thanks! I need to get a support belt for sure. :) I'll look into that this week. :) I'll keep you posted on the "relaxing" haha!
