@pebbledam I'm sorry for the headache, hope it goes away soon
Month/Cycle: 2/2 AL
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: PNV, Ubiquinol, pre-seed, BBT, check CM, OPKs, acupuncture, HIO
R/R: It is CD 1 but I feel pretty good (other than super crampy). I think the acupuncture on Monday helped to reduce my overall anxiety. MH and I spent some time painting together last night - he paints models as a hobby, I did some very amateur-hour water color. It was nice.
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? My parents were married but were divorced and remarried by the time I was 11. They are still married to their respective spouses. The blended family thing was hard growing up but I care a lot about my step-parents as an adult, and of course I love my half-siblings very very much and am grateful to have them.
R/R: rave: got a blinking smiley on my OPK this morning, so the ceremonial baby dancing can commence. Rant: decided to "give myself a break" and take the month off from BBT tracking. Now I'm stressing that I'll have an LH surge without O. Why did I think this would be a good idea?
CS/Q:
GTKY: My folks are still together. Their 39th anniversary is next month. Glad that in all the world they managed to find someone weird and crazy enough to put up with their quirks.
@pebbledam Sounds like your folks had a difficult situation. Hopefully they were able to work together to co-parent and make sure you knew you were loved.
R/R: rant - took a break from TB for a few days cause I was being overly dramatic and mopey about spotting and I miss all sort of stuff! UGH! So all weekend and Monday it was some spotting, nothing bad or heavy just there when I wiped, didn't need anything for it... until yesterday afternoon when it turned into a literal "THERE WILL BE BLOOD"! One moment I'm fine, the next I'm kicking DH out of the bathroom because it's like holy guacamole batman! Never had that happen before quite like that... lesson learned, ALWAYS have a pad once spotting starts. Rave - Made homemade cherry jam to make myself feel better. It's good. Also the cherry pie was devoured! And then yesterday I made homemade egg noodles, they actually turned out pretty good! Will definitely do it again, but gotta roll them out thinner
CS/Q: So apparently my LP this past cycle was 11 days. That seems short to me (especially since I thought my cycle before that, although based on CM/CP since I wasn't tracking BBT, was 14 days)... any thoughts or input?
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yep, they were HS sweethearts, broke up for a few years, got back together again and got married. Had a couple kids, and then me (I was a definite oops). Then they separated and officially divorced when I was about 2 or 3.
ETA: apparently I can't keep track of my dates/what today vs yesterday is. Sigh... --------------------------------------------- @pebbledam sorry to hear about the headache Hope it goes away quickly!

R/R: Is it just me or is this an unusually slow moving week? Rave: My work is slowing down! Now to catch up on all the back end stuff...
CS/Q:
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yes, my parents were and still are married. They had a few rough patches but are doing really well now. It's super easy to keep track of how long they've been married, too, since I was born just two weeks later. My mom use to claim that I was conceived the night he proposed. Even at 7, I thought that was an unlikely story.
@pebbledam Sorry about your headache! Is it one you can fix with meds/water/caffeine or one of those nasty ones that won't go away?
@zamora_spin That sounds like a lovely way to spend time with your H.
@zamora_spin - I love my half brother with my whole heart. Sorry for CD1 and the cramps. @leahcimmichael - I haven't talked to my biological father in 15 years, but trust me when I say they were not meant to be together. @lurvleybunchococonuts - That gif sums up how my period was this cycle. @SkilledSailor - This stupid headache gets better with excedrin, but won't completely go away. Hopefully some major hydration and decent sleep today will help.

WAYDTGKU: ATM: just waiting for AF to GTFO and then I'll start temping again! Sorry hubs, I can only hold out "not obsessing" so long. I think 3 cycles was fair, now it's time for some data! I have a bbt from before but it only measured to tenths so I found the mabis for like $8 on amazon this morning and also got a whole bunch of wandfo OPKs and HPTs. So soon to be a whole bunch of letters.
R/R: Rant - obvi CD1. Rave - excited to temp again
CS/Q: My new bbt will be here Friday. I was going to wait until then to temp so they are consistent but I'll miss a few days. No biggie since it's during AF anyway, right? Should I use the old one until the new one comes?
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Rents are still together, 34 years. But I think it's more of a roommate-marriage tbh
@zamora_spin aww that sounds like a lot of fun! RE blended families, I hear ya, growing up in one is super hard as a kid, but I wouldn't want to trade my half brother. He's a good kid And my step mom is pretty awesome too. *tw* growing up in a blended family I think definitely helps with DSD too *end tw*
@SkilledSailor YES, this week is going super slow for me. Apparently it's only Wednesday, I thought it was Thursday

@pebbledam Sorry about your headache! Hopefully it goes away soon!
@zamora_spin Sorry about CD1! My H paints models as a hobby, too. In fact, most Saturdays there's a group of grown men painting miniatures at my dinning room table well into the night. What kind of models does he paint?
@leahcimmichael Yay for flashing smiley! FX it's the real deal!
@lurvleybunchococonuts Sorry about AF, but all that food sounds delicious. Was your chart clear, or is it possible that FF got you O date wrong?
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, BBT, tracking CM & CP, Pom Juice, Clomid
R/R: No clomid side effects so far, so hopefully it stays that way! Other than that, I really need to find some motivation to get things done today, becasue I'm just not felling it.
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? My parents are still married. They have a strong marriage, but they're very religious, so I don't think they'd get divorced even if they didn't.
@cards10 - For the sake of science, wait for your new bbt. I actually don't start temping until CD6 or so because temps during AF can be rather erratic. @Cricket648 - I'm glad to hear that you aren't haven't any side effects, yet. FX they stay away!

@cards10 I think you can wait to start temping since AF, unless you have a like a super short cycle. I started temping on day 7 I think last cycle (1st cycle temping). sorry about the roommate parents. My in-laws seem that way most days too. They both say, if only we had enough $ to get divorced, or if only they had made different decisions in life. Makes me sad.
@Cricket648 I think it was pretty clear cut (see spoiler) 7/4 I woke up/temped late 6:30 , and 7/5 was sleep deprived/drinking the previous night which is why they're open circles. Good luck getting motivated today!

WAYDTGKU: PNV, Folate, Ubiquinol, DHA, RRL, Pom Juice, tracking CM and attempting CP this cycle, temping (badly due to shift work, waiting for Ava to get here), Preseed, HIO
R/R: Rave: Ava bracelet out for delivery today! Rant: So much sympathy, @pebbledam. I had a horrible migraine yesterday but finally broke after some phenergan and a good night's sleep.
CS/Q: Not at the moment.
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? They were married for a couple of years before I was born but separated when I was 18 month old. I don't remember exactly when the divorce was final but definitely before kindergarden. I have no memory of them being married. Dad was engaged a couple of times afterwards but never remarried; mom remarried when I was 31.

CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married?
My parents were high school sweethearts and got married at 21 & 22. They are still maried and celebrated 37 years in January. They're very happy.
@pebbledam - sorry for the headache, if you're in this "ring of fire" heatwave, be sure to stay hydrated just in case that's contributing
@zamora_spin - sorry for CD1, but it's awesome that you're in such a good headspace. I just got watercolors as a gift last week and I'm so excited to try them out.
@leahcimmichael - Have you had the LH surge without O in the past? Taking a break from BBT is totally reasonable. Plenty of people get KU just HIO without the knowledge of the exact O day, FX that is you this cycle!
@lurvleybunchococonuts - way to go on all that baking/cooking! I have had LPs range from 10 to 14 days since tracking, so I don't fully buy the "fact" that LPs are always consistent. But 11 is on the short side, yes. I started taking Vitamin B complex and drinking red raspberry leaf tea during WTO to try and lengthen LP. Vitamin C is also sometimes helpful. But the reasons for a short LP are varied, so you're kind of just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Hopefully this was just a one off for you and you get back to a beatiful, full 14 day LP asap.
@skilledsailor - haha, I love that you were skeptical even at 7!
@cards10 - I usually don't worry about temping until day 3 or 4, so I'd probably wait. I'm usually high during AF and I don't like how that looks on my charts. (because how the chart "looks" matters?! lol). Personally I feel like tracking BBT makes me less on edge and obsessed because I have confidence that I did my part and it's up to the body to do the rest.
@cricket648 - yay for no side effects! I'm looking for some motivation today too. I think I'm going to try a pomodoro session after I post this and then write down three things that I'm going to finish today and hope that helps.

@cards10 and @ajsanders-2 sorry CD1 came for you guys too. @Cricket648 MH paints models for 40K aka Warhammer. He has sooo many models and he gets them sometimes in rough shape so he also spends time gluing them back together. Grown adult men are frequently at our house painting models or gaming (both 40K and D&D). What does YH paint? @elisek Thanks! The watercolors I have are very basic but I really liked using them. Gl!
@zamora_spin, @Cricket648Hi my friends and wives of nerdy husbands! MH also paints minatures for 40K. He spends more time painting and putting them together than he does playing with the damn things!

@lurvleybunchococonuts Ack! I hate it when AF surprises you like that. Also, that's really sad about your in-laws. And finally, I love that Moana gif! I'm oddly in love with that movie.
@cards10 Haha I love that you'll have more letters soon.
@Cricket648 Ugh I'm not feeling it today either. Glad to hear you're not having any clomid side effects so far!
@ajsanders-2 I agree, it's so helpful to have people who understand to talk to about TTC.
@elisek That is so cute that you're parents are still together after all these years of being high school sweethearts! And haha yes, I was! It's this first time I did the math. My mom didn't have an engagement ring and never talked about an official proposal before then.
@lurvleybunchococonuts first of all that combo of your blood-flood gif and then comment about making cherry jam and pie is slightly... disturbing lol And yeah my parents acting as roommates has been kind of hard to see. They get along fine when we're all together but they just seem annoyed by each other. And they never communicate with each other (I have to text or call both of them instead of relying on them to talk to each other). I think it started when my sister and I moved out and they didn't know how to be together without kids anymore. It's sad that your ILs are talking about divorce. I guess whatever is best but man I'm surprised they're so open about it, and how openly disappointed they are that they can't do it. That is sad, and must be awkward.
@ajsanders-2 sorry to see you here as well this wasn't a great week for our TWW crew so far. Glad you have such great support though!
@elisek yeah I've noticed AF temps are typically high so I'll wait, thanks. I too love when my chart looks nice And I absolutely LOVE temping and charting *TW* I did it previously TTC *end TW* I also think it gives me something to understand and trust instead of just hoping and wishing. It was MH who wasn't a fan; feeling like I was too regimented and obsessed and taking the fun out of HIO. So I was trying to resist and not temp for a while. But I'm totally jumping back on that bandwagon in a hurry this cycle! I think I just won't bring it up to him and hope he'll sleep through the bbt and won't even notice
@pebbledam@Cricket648 Yes, MH totally spends more time on painting and gluing than actually playing. We recently went through and re-organized the main floor of our house and our garage, which is now very neatly filled with shelves and shelves of 40K stuff. MH has gotten pretty good at the painting - he has even started using an airbrush sometimes. It's a great hobby for him because he finds it very relaxing.
I have so much work today so I'm P&G, but love-itting everyone!

@elisek thanks, I have to go get PNV's today anyhow, so maybe I'll take a look for Vit B complex & red raspberry leaf tea while I'm there. Glad to hear that it's not "uneheard of" to have LPs vary like that. Everything I read was like it'll always be +/- 1 day.
@SkilledSailor I Moana too Hei Hei (the chicken) made me bust our laughing so hard when I first saw it.
@cards LMAO, I didn't intend for those two topics to be side-by-side, but now I'm kinda glad it happened that way Yeah, my In-Laws baffle me. My FIL says we need to move and get a place with another bedroom so he can get away from MIL. But one day they act happy, or at least content together. And then the next they can't stand each other. It's like their happy making each other miserable? It makes no sense to me. They just celebrated their 40th anniversary a few months ago, but they both (individually) have told me more than once how they'd do xyz over again, or how they wish they had made different decisions in the past. It's really sad. Some of it comes off as "joking" but there's an underlying discontent. I think they both have been together for so long they wouldn't know what to do without one another at this point.

GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yup... my parents were married till I was a teenager though they separated when I was 10 so my dad could go live with his secretary and raise her kids....nice. Love them both but obviously I'm much closer to my mom
chart below for any stalkers ETA... could not get the spoiler to work for just this image (only know how to do it on mobile!!! waaaaaaa)
@zamora_spin@pebbledam Yep, put MH in the "spends more time painting than playing" club. I'm not sure I can remember when the last time he actually played was, but it's been a while. He also finds it really relaxing, and occasionally pretty infuriating (like when he paints and strips a model 5 times, because it's just not "right").
@dragonette505 I'm sorry your chart is so confusing! It could really go either way. FX that your temps stay high!
Month/Cycle: 1/1 CD: 6 WAYDTGKU: CM, BBT & PNV R/R: I only have 1 more assignment this semester then I am done with the semester!! CS/Q: nope GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? They divorced when I was 5 and are both remarried
@dragonette505 hmm that shift isn't as clear, that's tough. I can see why FF chose CD25 given the temp rise with fertile CM. The temp dip after that is making me consider CD29 as well. What is the MON being tracked? That shows a few fertile days after FF O date.
@lurvleybunchococonuts I have no idea why, but that gif with the talk of homemade cherry jam right after just made me giggle.
@cards10 Missing those first few days won't be a big deal, and it would definitely be better to use the same thermometer throughout your cycle, so I would just wait until you get the new one.
@elisek Oooooooh I have been contemplating getting the Pixi Glow Tonic so please let me know if you think it helps!!

GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? They were married for about 17 years before they got divorced. My mom remarried before she past away from cancer. My dad lived common law for about the same time till his lady past away from epilepsy.
R/R: the urge to use opks is so strong. Especially since today is only the second day of EOD & it took H longer than normal to finish. Not sure he's going to last. And I'm dreading having to BD on my family vacation starting Friday if it's not even necessary yet.

GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yup. They started dating in middle school. Broke up for a few days in high school but got back together the same week. They just celebrated their 43rd anniversary. They fought a ton growing up. Seriously thought they'd end up divorced. But they seemed to get closer once my brother & I moved out. They still fight but not nearly as much. They're always traveling and going on date nights. And I honestly don't think they could survive without each other.

Sigh...

@leahcimmichael Aww wow 39 years! Congrats to them
@SkilledSailor YES, this week is going super slow for me. Apparently it's only Wednesday, I thought it was Thursday

@leahcimmichael Yay for flashing smiley! FX it's the real deal!

My parents are still married. They have a strong marriage, but they're very religious, so I don't think they'd get divorced even if they didn't.

Gl!

@Cricket648 Ugh I'm not feeling it today either. Glad to hear you're not having any clomid side effects so far!
@fishsticks-n-custard Hahaha that sounds like a fun but awkward game.
@ajsanders-2 sorry to see you here as well
@elisek yeah I've noticed AF temps are typically high so I'll wait, thanks. I too love when my chart looks nice
@zamora_spin & @cards10 Sorry about CD1.
@leahcimmichael Yay! Woot, woot! GL!
@lurvleybunchococonuts Homemade jam!
@SkilledSailor This week is going by super slow! A lot of them feel like that lately!

My parents were married when my mom was 7 months with my brother. They were engaged when she got pregnant. They divorced when I was 2 and are both very happily remarried. Both remarried when I was in high school. My grandparents were all divorced and re married, except for my dad's parents. They stayed single after divorce. Needless to say my brother and I are hoping to break that cycle with our generation. So far so good, but he's also not married yet! lol

GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yup... my parents were married till I was a teenager though they separated when I was 10 so my dad could go live with his secretary and raise her kids....nice. Love them both but obviously I'm much closer to my mom

R/R: the urge to use opks is so strong. Especially since today is only the second day of EOD & it took H longer than normal to finish. Not sure he's going to last. And I'm dreading having to BD on my family vacation starting Friday if it's not even necessary yet.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yup. They started dating in middle school. Broke up for a few days in high school but got back together the same week. They just celebrated their 43rd anniversary. They fought a ton growing up. Seriously thought they'd end up divorced. But they seemed to get closer once my brother & I moved out. They still fight but not nearly as much. They're always traveling and going on date nights. And I honestly don't think they could survive without each other.

GTKY: Were your parents ever married? If so, are they still married? Yes, and they were married till my dad passed when I was 15. My mom has since remarried, and I assume they're happy. She and I haven't spoken or seen each other for about 4 years.
