@Kaityrj Im a FTM, but I have had BH since week 20, but they were never uncomfortable. I haven't had them in a few weeks, but cramping and back pain were also not part of mine. I would make sure that you cant time them, and call your doctor if they start to get really uncomfortable or timeable!

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
@JDBtwinmama I asked my OB about the hand swelling today and she said it is typically worse in her summer mamas. She suggested I elevate my hands/arms first thing in the morning before even getting out of bed. And it is not uncommon for moms to have hand swelling because walking and being active help pump the fluid out of your legs.

Had my growth US and internal check yesterday. Looks like all the lightning crotch and pelvic pain I've been having is for a reason... I'm 2cm dilated and 70% effaced! I'm so relieved that my body is doing what it's supposed to, but I want it to slow down so baby can cook a little longer.
This weeks symptoms are general pelvic pain, major insomnia, and peeing every hour, if not more. Selfishly, I'm ready for this baby to come any day, but I am more than happy to keep these symptoms for longer to ensure a healthy baby.
Three times in the last few weeks I've come suuuuper close to fainting. The first time was at church, I was standing during worship (knees not locked) and got SUPER HOT and faint feeling. Went to the bathroom to find a chair and sat down to cool off. Took over 30 minutes to go away and DH and I had to leave. Then it happened again at the acupuncturist last week. I was laying on my back but at anincline. Almost immediately after the doc left the room it started happening again so I called for her and she came and took all the needles out, did a nervous system reset and got me a cold rag. Again, came in waves and took about 30 minutes to go away. Then the next day I was at the chiro and flat on my back for her to do Webster technique and it started happening again! She helped me sit up and checked my BP and it was 94/60. Yikes! Called my MW and she definitely thinks it's position related, that the baby is pressing on my vega nerve, but also kind of crazy because I go weekly to the acupuncturist and chiro and it's never happened! Guess LO is getting chunkier and lower ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
--Swollen ankles, feet, fingers, wrists with tingling/ stiffness --major heartburn/ acid issues in evening and night --major pressure/ period like cramping/ lightening crotch -- one or two crazy strong paint bh contractions --major hip & back pain. Seriously how much further can they spread? -- increase in anxiety --sweaty croch area to the point where I was paranoid I had a slow leak of amniotic fluid.
I was honestlybshocked at my appt yesterday as on said I wasn't really dilated at all. Maybe 1/4 of an I checked if anything. Looks like baby is snug in there.
My ob assured me it is all normal as baby has dropped and I am having similar issues. He said baby is running out of space and as a result can't move as much/ hit as hard. We had to see another ob in the 5th since mine was in vacation and she really had me worried about decreasing movement. She even wanted me to do kick counts 3-5 times a day which seems nuts my OB said to still do kick counts but to limit it to 2-3 tops.
So here's something rather crazy yet cool.... Today, I felt a light, gentle throbbing at the top of my bump- definitely not baby hiccups. It wasn't my heartbeat, and it was too slow to be baby's heartbeat, so I kind of freaked and looked at Dr. Google. There are older Bump posts and other pregnancy forum posts that suggest that I felt my baby actually "breathing!" Even though some medical sites claim women wouldn't feel the breathing due to the layers of tissue between a baby and the great outdoors, women said their doctors did ultrasounds and matched the throbs to the rhythm of the babies' practice breaths. It's also often felt by women who are generally thinner anyway and also late in pregnancy (which I am both). The baby's been moving around all day but I guess for those 15 minutes or so, her back was pressed against my upper bump!
@DeansGirl14 yep, I can feel LO's breathing every now and then. I didn't feel it with DD but I'm pretty sure that was partly due to an anterior placenta.

This morning I just saw and felt what I think was his breathing! It was right after a pretty big contraction so I think he was jammed up right against my stomach by that. I would have never looked for it if it wasn't for here. Got me all emotional to see

Clearly we like to rush along at lightning speed...
I've handled the NJ summer heat just fine for 34 years. Grew up without A/C, spent my time outside at the beach, my grandparents farm, and at summer camp, had a house for most of my adult life without A/C... all not a problem
Right now I'm actually running so hot that I might spontaneously combust and burst into flames. Seriously.

@Mango517 Amen for the NJ Heat. Between the heat and humidity, I feel like I may actually melt. I'm seriously contemplating sleeping in the basement tonight! I'm afraid to see what our AC bill will be this month.
@kristenk727 last month my electric was the highest it's ever been in summer time because of my central air. I've been keeping it at 67. It's worth it though!
+1 for the heat. Today I walked (waddled) to and from the grocery store (1 mile round trip) just for milk and by the time I got home I was a sweaty beast. High of 88*, humid from being between two storm systems... No. From now on DH has to do the grocery shopping, I just can't.
DH is apparently nesting with everything not baby related (eye roll) and decided to put up our new mailbox today...it was 96 out and felt like 111. You should have seen how sweaty he was. Yet all I could think was how covered in sweat I would have been in those 15 mins.

@SouthernMama15 So I asked my doctor and she felt my back. Apparently the back pain is actually rib pain from them not having any space. The bad news is tylonol and heat/cold are all I can do. The good news is, at least it will go away for sure post-delivery.
I have an itchy rash on both arms. It started a few days ago and it's spreading on my right arm. I don't know if it's pregnancy related or not but OMG does it itch. :'( Does anyone have any home remedies for itchy rashes beside the typical hydrocortisone and calamine lotion?

@BlackNYellow +1 for oatmeal bath! I had a rash on stomach at 12 weeks and the oatmeal bath really helped. I just poured Quaker Oats in a tied off pair of panty hose and soaked with it and rubbed it on the rash.
Thanks everyone. I'm going to try the oatmeal bath! Unfortunately my next appointment isn't for another week so I'm in diagnosis limbo until then. I honesty think it's related to pregnancy and hormones. I can not think of anything else it could be from...

@BlackNYellow if the oatmeal bath doesn't help, I've found that sometimes a topical Benadryl works. Usually they are for bug bites or allergy rashes but they still have an anti-itch factor that sometimes works better than others.
@Blackandyellow around 20 ish weeks I got a terrible head to toe rash very suddenly. My SIL is an allergist and suggested Benadryl orally every six hours (For about 2 days) It was the only thing that helped. It went away and was chalked up to being caused by hormones. It hasn't come back since then.
Talk to your doc if the oatmeal doesn't work for you- i feel for you! That was a miserable few days!
Picture for comparison for you(I wish I knew how to make this a spoiler so not everyone has to look at my sexy arm rash Sorry!!!)
@mrsashworth522 thank you! I just purchased some benadryl cream and that with the hydrocortisone and oatmeal bath seems to be helping. I might have to try oral benadryl but would rather avoid taking any oral meds if possible.
@abbeyH Mine looks pretty similar but does not encompass my entire arm. How long did yours take to go away? This is now going on a week.

@Blackandyellow mine came on very suddenly and was on my entire body- face, neck, hands, legs, arms, stomach- you name it! It was so so itchy and went away after taking oral Benadryl, and flaired back up as soon as it wore off. All in all it was gone after one MISERABLE weekend. Creams didn't help me
