My MBF and TWT are my animals. My dogs keep peeing in the house for NO reason. One of the cats keeps peeing right outside of one of the many litter boxes! Wtf?! I cannot handle this. Wtf am I going to do when I have a newborn to worry about too?!

My DH is out of town for a couple weeks and I've been dealing with some pretty severe pregnancy symptoms. There's my bitch. Yesterday, my best friend snuck over to my house while I was working and scrubbed it top to bottom. I cried a lot. I don't deserve her. She gets all the trophies.
@ktcakes87My dog, who is completely housebroken, started peeing in the house when she had a UTI, so that's maybe a possibility to look into? But if both dogs are doing it then I guess it's pretty unlikely that they both have UTIs at the same time. Maybe the can smell the baby and are acting out.
MBF: DH and I bought these fantastic new couches for our living room and they were delivered last night. We were so excited but then hugely disappointed when we realized the couches were way too big for our living room, so we're returning one of the couches and replacing it with a matching chair. A little annoying, but whatever. But then as DH was relaxing on the couch with a glass of wine later in the night, I was moving the throw pillows around and accidentally dropped one right on top of his wine glass, and it shattered -- getting wine on the new couch and glass everywhere in the rug.
Trophy: to DH who not only cleaned the entire mess up, but assured me it was fine/accidents happen, and then comforted me when I started crying.

@peachy13 Great job, DH! I probably would have been crying, too. Hope the cleaning took care of it.
Trophy Tuesday goes to our new pup. They told us she was not housebroken, but she has not had a single accident so far. She is very sweet and likes everyone we've introduced her to and is good with DD so far (she does get a little overexcited sometimes and tries to bowl her over with kisses, but for the most part has been good). Our cat is still not sure about her, but I think it is going to be ok. She did jump on top of me this morning and dropped her rawhide chew on my head so she could lick me more effectively, but that's DH's fault for not corralling her after he let her back inside.

@leilagphillips One of the dogs had a UTI recently, but it cleared up. I have a hard time believing they both have one AND choose to pee in the house after they have been let outside.

@ktcakes87 sometimes i just think it's the territorial instinct working against you. when one dog or animal pees in the house, the other dog wants to cover up the spot with its own pee. that kind of thing. short of really cleaning it, i don't have a good fix for you

Trophy Tuesday is that today is my last day in Maui and I'm totally bummed - BUT - I'm finishing it off right with a wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton and an 80 minute prenatal massage before I get on the plane. Heaven ladies. Absolute heaven.
My Trophy goes to my new PStyle....it's one of those things where you can stand up and pee. Got it for camping and it works really well! Never thought I'd be able to stand up and pee but it is awesome! LOL

@ktcakes87 I had a breakdown about the same thing a couple weeks ago. Dogs were peeing on the carpet, cat was peeing on every item of clothing (on the floor or the never disappearing pile of clean, but not put away laundry). We let the cat out (she's an inside cat), and her peeing stopped. And DH has started going outside with the dogs, which has stopped their crap too.
@ktcakes87 - My dog has been peeing in the house more, but we think it's actually the animal reacting to the pregnancy. Perhaps its something like that going on over in your house?

MBF is my asshole of a boss who hates women and shits all over my life. Now that we finally have short term disability, he has decided he doesn't want to implement a maternity policy. Because 60% of pay for 6 weeks is equivalent to a real policy:/
Trophy for my smarty pants 3 year old who hasn't had an accident in her new big girl underwear in a week. We just started potty training last week so this is huge for us.

@ameliabedelia-2 I know the feeling. I never realized how often a company's maternity leave is really just short-term disability (that I've paid into myself from my paychecks) and I have to use all my other leave up first. I'm very fortunate that financially we will be fine if I don't get paid for a while, but still.
@ameliabedelia-2@elcd458 We only get 6 weeks on short term disability too, 8 weeks with a C-section. It's full pay, but it makes me so angry because our short term disability can be used for up to 13 weeks full pay, and another 13 weeks partial pay for other medical reasons, but not for maternity leave.
