Re: Too much itching in whole body in 15th week.what should i do

  • I used Eucerine calming lotion during my first pregnancy. It didn't make it go away completely but helped. It's started coming back this time too. 11 weeks here. I might try a different kind of anti itch lotion this time. Or at least a smaller bottle so that I don't feel too bad wasting it if it doesn't work.

  • Cocoa butter helped me a bit last time
  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one itching. I thought I was nuts.

I am itchy all over, all the time. I use Cetaphil's Restoraderm Eczema Calming wash, Gold Bond eczema cream, and CeraVe healing ointment on the roughest spots. They're at the very least moisturizing, and I'm guessing they're helping, but I'm still itchy. I usually use a prescription steroid cream for my eczema, but am trying to keep that to the very minimum (and am paying the price for it lol).

  • My first pregnancy I was insanely itchy by week 30. I mean to the point I was scratching so hard I was making sores. I tried everything and only Pine tar soap worked. It took the edge off until I showered again. I was taking three to four showers a day because it was so terrible.  My doctor at the time didn't know what it was, but after I delivered my son, I went in for a visit and another doctor said I probably had chloestasis (sp?). He saw where I had scratched myself and where it left scars. Once I delivered my son, it was gone within a week. It's a liver issue that some pregnant woman develop. Simple blood tests can rule it out. Of course there is pupps and dry skin from hormonal changes, but if i were you I would check to be on the safe side.
  • I had this issue around the same time of the year with DS. I was a lot further along then, but for me the heat and pregnancy made me retain water, which made me so itchy. anti itch lotion did an alright job, but it didn't go away completely until I had gotten rid of the water I had retained :(

  • I was also going to suggest cholestasis. My XSIL had it with all 3 of her pregnancies. Its worth checking out!
