Hey mamas! I'm on track to be a FTM, this is my first pregnancy and man am I missing some things! I just want to commiserate.
Right now what I'm missing the most is red wine and SUSHI. I got some of the cooked stuff a while back but it's not the same. Later in pregnancy I'll probably have a half glass of vino here or there but I can already tell I may feel guilty about it so we will see. Plus that's months away (only 10w 4d).
Oh also water parks parks and roller coasters. I don't do those things every summer but somehow knowing that I can't right now ticks me off, haha.
(Ps none of this is to sound ungrateful for the pregnancy I have. If I can't share here where can I?!)

Regarding sushi, I read that as long as it's from a reputable place it's ok, even the raw stuff. If you're worried about mercury then just avoid tuna, but even so having tuna once a week is fine. It's not enough to be a problem.

Strangely enough, I don't find myself missing alcohol much at all. The older I get the less it agrees with me and I have a hunch that I won't go back to it even after the baby comes.

I also miss deli meat. I always just avoid it completely but I'd kill for a jimmy john sandwich right now.
Oh man, my soon to be toddler has been a melt down disaster this last week. So I definitely feel your pain!
And I am still eating deli meat. I just ask them to microwave it!

Is anyone else finding that sugar is actually making them feel worse?
I think I miss my prior energy level more though?
I still eat sushi, though I minimize the tuna and don't get any from the grocery store. And lunchmeat (though I'm very careful about where and how fresh it is). And I have one cup of coffee daily. After being super careful and religiously avoiding everything in my first pregnancy only to get exposed TWICE to Listeria (blue bell ice cream and Sabra hummus), I don't see the benefit to be so restrictive with my diet.

I've never forgone sushi during pregnancy. H is actually picking some up right now. I probably ate sushi three times a week during the first trimester of my last pregnancy. I'm craving cold things lately.
