What are you missing the most right now?

Hey mamas! I'm on track to be a FTM, this is my first pregnancy and man am I missing some things! I just want to commiserate. 

Right now what I'm missing the most is red wine and SUSHI. I got some of the cooked stuff a while back but it's not the same. Later in pregnancy I'll probably have a half glass of vino here or there but I can already tell I may feel guilty about it so we will see. Plus that's months away (only 10w 4d). 

Oh also water parks parks and roller coasters. I don't do those things every summer but somehow knowing that I can't right now ticks me off, haha. 

(Ps none of this is to sound ungrateful for the pregnancy I have. If I can't share here where can I?!)

    I miss being able to go a day without gas. Not burping myself to sleep... not accidentally burping in a meeting (that just happened, SO embarrassing)... not waking myself up burping when I toss in bed. Those days were swell. 
  • I don't even have sushi that often but as soon as I found out I'm pregnant it is seriously all I want! I had some of the cooked stuff as well- meh. Totally not the same.

  • I haven't been missing anything too much but I know when we go camping in a couple of weeks I'm going to seriously miss having a cold drink by the beach.

  • I don't even have sushi that often but as soon as I found out I'm pregnant it is seriously all I want! I had some of the cooked stuff as well- meh. Totally not the same.

    I guess I'm lucky because I like fried Cali rolls! My mom flipped the first time I told her H and I were getting sushi for dinner when I was pregnant with DD. I had to explain that the rolls I get don't have raw fish!

    'My' summer in general. We spend our weekends on the lake, riding around and hanging out with friends.  I haven't been able to go much because motion of the boat/water + dizziness/nausea is awful.  And being the only sober one around the party crowd gets old in a hurry.  

    Strangely enough, I don't find myself missing alcohol much at all.  The older I get the less it agrees with me and I have a hunch that I won't go back to it even after the baby comes.

  • @meatball37 yes!!! I just wanted to lay around and be lazy today, but definitely not happening with a toddler. Lol

    I also miss deli meat. I always just avoid it completely but I'd kill for a jimmy john sandwich right now.

     Oh man, my soon to be toddler has been a melt down disaster this last week. So I definitely feel your pain!

    And I am still eating deli meat. I just ask them to microwave it!

    I think I miss my prior energy level more though?

    I still eat sushi, though I minimize the tuna and don't get any from the grocery store. And lunchmeat (though I'm very careful about where and how fresh it is). And I have one cup of coffee daily. After being super careful and religiously avoiding everything in my first pregnancy only to get exposed TWICE to Listeria (blue bell ice cream and Sabra hummus), I don't see the benefit to be so restrictive with my diet.
  • A nice crisp glass of white wine! I was a wine with supper most nights kind of girl and especially now that it's hot out I would love a glass!

    Exactly. By the listeria logic, I also need to avoid bagged spinach, cantaloupe, and peanut butter, among other things I can't remember right now.

  • Caffeine. My tired is tired. Need coffee, Diet Coke, and iced tea. Plus, I'm in Florida and it's a million degrees.

    Same here! With this being my 3rd pregnancy, I have one cup of coffee daily, have been eating lunch meat sandwiches weekly, and tuna salad once a week. Ham sandwiches got me through last week.... nothing else was the least bit appetizing. 
  • I don't have sushi often but yeah, wish I had a good sushi dining out before the BFP came. Now I'm craving it. I used to drink one beer or two glasses of wine most days or like 4 days a week, but I don't really miss it at all now. I also used to drink a lot of coffee and/or diet coke so limiting it to 12 oz. a day total is tough, especially since this fatigue is brutal. Also pot. I don't really like to smoke, but I make incredible pot cake pops and brownies (very strong, fudge and moist, none of the dry junk, and usually fancy varieties like turtle or peanut butter swirl). Those were really fun and I'm jealous my husband still gets to eat them.
  • I miss not feeling queasy and bloated.

    I've never forgone sushi during pregnancy. H is actually picking some up right now. I probably ate sushi three times a week during the first trimester of my last pregnancy. I'm craving cold things lately.

  • I miss sushi so much right now! Don't really miss alcohol right now because smelling it makes me so nauseous.
    Also i miss when i didn't feel so damn sick all the time.
  • I want to add and second those that said energy, someone said weed YES. Though I'm actually surprised I don't miss it more considering I used to smoke regularly. And then also sexual drive! Geez, hope it comes back soon. Fingers crossed for that magical second trimester. 
  • @Alex0218 so glad I'm not the only one. I guess a joint for me is like a glass of wine for others! 
  • @mblomq2 & @manniebeth I miss my bong as well. It helps my insomnia (also my bad period cramps when I had them) and I wish I could drink the tea for my nausea but I don't want to take chances.

  • Blue moon. Nothing beats it after a long day at work. Energy to get through work would be great, so would be being in control of my emotions!!! 9w6d almost out of the first trimester!
  • Definitely my energy level. I miss alcohol too especially since it's summer, but I definitely would trade all the drinks for my energy back.... and because of the lack of energy I genuinely miss working out. I just can't bring myself to expend what little energy I have on a workout....

    Since i concieved *unplanned* I've had nothing nada zip from him!
    Its sent me spiraling into a depression. 
  • Driveway drinking. We sit in the driveway while the kids play in the evening, drinks in hand.  I also miss a good nights sleep. Otherwise it's everything in moderation for me.
