Does anyone else own one or plan to purchase one? I didn't have one with my daughter but think I might like one this time around (especially since my appointment is so far away!) And I just happen to have an Amazon GC burning a hole in my pocket. Any recommendations?

My warning would be to be careful and not use it over 5 mins. Studies have shown that the lining bubbles while being exposed to long use Doppler. We aren't sure of the ramifications of too long or too often.
Same as the other girls, all too often dopplers cause needless panic. It's difficult find a tiny little baby heart beat! Woman often find their placenta or own arterial heart beat instead and freak out at how slow it is. Or can't find one at all and stress out.
If you get one, enjoy with restraint and caution, and remember that in a few weeks when we start feeling baby move that those expensive gadgets are basically useless.
Oops! I lied! Ultrasounds cause the bubbling, dopplers are just unknown if they cause harm. Still better safe than sorry with unregulated medical equipment

I did it with my first pregnancy and I never thought about freaking out if I couldn't hear anything bc I just assumed it was me.
Of course, I can't imagine keeping a stethoscope around a rambunctious toddler so maybe I'll look into the Doppler!
