Hey ladies! I thought it would be nice to have a thread to show off our craftiness and get ideas for crafts for our new LOs. I've seen a few knitters and I crochet, so what other kinds of crafts are you planning? Im going to be working on LOs name for their wall once we know who they are (probably after they are born because I have trouble naming a kiddo before they arrive) as well as crocheting a blanket. Share your crafts! Here is the blanket I'm going to make, colours undecided until I know if it's a boy or girl.

I started crocheting a blanket before DD was born (it was my first attempt) and it got so messed up I quit. I think I need to start with a scarf! My MIL is the best, she made tons of coordinating outfits for DD.

I can't knit or crochet BUT I do embelish onsies, paint signs and all that fun stuff in the vinyl world and hubby builds just about anything I throw at him so I have tons of ideas but a lot riding on girl or boy. I did these for my best friend's baby shower and I'm chomping at the bit to start on my own little's closet!

@Cricket99 thank you for starting this thread. I really want to crochet baby the blanket below - colors will depend on if it is a boy or a girl.

I am also trying to come up with crafty decor ideas, as I love making things! So I'm very excited to see what other ideas ladies have.

I don't have any pics, during my last pregnancy I made a quilt for my first baby and I meant to make one for my second but never got around to it. I bought some of the fabric to make one. Hopefully I work myself up to the quilt before I upgrade her to a big girl bed! Any quilters in here? Not that I am the real deal, I've made two, and the second one for so crooked!

@darkrose88 I almost made that one for a friend! I will say that when I tried it the pattern wasn't quite working out for me. I'm still not sure if it was user error or a problem with the pattern, but my stitch counts were not coming out right. It's super cute though. I did a ripple blanket for my DS that turned out fantastic.

@Cricket99 oh I hope I can do it then.

I've only successfully crocheted one blanket, but I've started several other ones. I'm hoping since this one didn't look too complicated I could easily finish it. I may have to consider switching out the pattern.

I enjoy painting! Specifically hand painted calligraphy but I like experimenting with lots of different styles!

I made a baby blanket last January... Will probably knit and crochet more baby stuff as soon as I get more energy

I like to think I'm crafty. In fact. I love craft supplies that I worked at Michaels part time for 4 years but I have found that I suck at the actual project making part. So I have a ton of supplies and no projects. Haha. I'm really hoping that this changes this pregnancy. There are so many cute projects out there.

@leeeahyo Those are beautiful, I knit but have no skills with a brush. If you were ever to sell them I would totally get the "be brave little one". The three basic things I want for my daughter are to be healthy, happy, and brave.

I am working on one blanket currently and planning on one or two more (I know the gender, but I am intrigued by the turqoise/gold combination, I also remember my favorite blanket was turquoise so I may be biased):

I knit so I will probably do a blanket once I find out the sex of the baby and think of some nursery colors.

Oh man, I have two half-finished blankets that I started knitting before DS was born. What are the odds that I will have any time to pick them up again now? Or remember wtf the pattern was? They are both fairly simple, but lots of counting involved.

Thank you! I loooove doing apparel and MAY have stocked up on some girly outfits I will monogram if we end up with a girl (if not I have a handmade business I can offer them in ha!)

I knit this for a friend's baby and will start on more baby clothes as soon as I find out what I'm having! I also plan on making some wool soakers for cloth diapers.
