Sometimes I wish I had a less stressful job because I feel like when I do have time off to do things I have no energy and just want to lay around and relax. I could be kidding myself and wouldn't do anything even if I did work less and maybe I'm just a lazy son of a bitch lol.

I've been at work all morning, so over it already. Normally it's soo slow- to the point that I started teaching myself how to knit- but I've been going non-stop today! 3:00 can't come soon enough!

I have my best friend's birthday dinner tonight. I got a BFN yesterday so I'm gonna enjoy all of the all you can eat sushi and sake tonight.

My annoying co-worker decided that he's the manager today because our manager is off (even though the branch manager IS here, so idk why he thinks we need 2 managers?), and then literally in the next breath he called a customer a "dumb whore". The customer before that he lied to (even though he didn't think it was a lie, because he thinks he's correct...which he's not) about how/what we report as a late payment to credit bureaus. So that was a fun way to start my day!

It's railroad days in Omaha and I'd like to go to the botanical gardens, but it's too hot for that. So, we're going to hit up one of the museum's instead.

H has some friends over today for a bit of a jam session, so my house is loud. On a related note, I can't wait for our friend to buy a house and move is drums out of our attic!

@SkilledSailor it's going well thanks for asking (and remembering!). I'm working with a couple of recruiters and I'm very excited with what they are doing for me. I did interview for one job (an admin for the transportation department of a large retail company) and didn't get it, but they are opening up another position (admin for accounting this time) and want me to interview.

I declined going on the river today so I could get things done before I leave for work tomorrow (working out of town for the week). I am now regretting that decision.... I did get a quick workout in, but now I'm just watching netflix. I should be cleaning/doing laundry/watering the flowers/pretty much anything productive. DH is working and works an overnight again tonight so when he comes home this afternoon he will just be sleeping.

@Cricket648, @SkilledSailor - Omaha is a big railroad town. It's where the first transcontinental railroad was started and where Union Pacific RR was founded! There's a bunch of railroad attractions around town and you can go to all of them for cheap this weekend. This is an annual thing they do every summer.

I'm trying to get the motivation to head over to my ILs. They're watching the dog while I have afternoon tea and go window shopping with a friend who lives near them. I'm very excited to spend time with my friend, but before I see her I have to teach my 59 year old computer illiterate FIL how to use LinkedIn. Wish me luck!

@MrsMiller8588 man I've been wanting to slap him since...well forever. But "whore" and "slut" are definitely some of my trigger words, so I'm kind of considering contacting HR about it. Even though no customers heard him it's entirely inappropriate for him to use that verbiage, especially if he wants to claim a supervisory/managerial role (which he's not...but whatever).

What are you watching on Netflix?

@pebbledam that sounds fun! We have Travel Town near us which is kind of a railroad themed historical park. I may need to put Omaha on my US travel bucket list (which is growing by the minute!).

Saturday mornings are grocery shopping/cleaning days. So we just spent the past few hours making the apt not look like bomb went off. And as usual the cats are running around confused that their scent markings are gone and rubbing themselves all over the floors again. Lol stupid cats.

Aaannnd I switched over the laundry and didn't start the dryer. Go me!

Having a lazy weekend, and loving it. Got blood work and ran errands this morning. Then got a run in, may get another in this afternoon. Dad plans on grilling and making some of the fruits and vegetables we got yesterday. And drinking. Sadly I am out of grapefruit rum, but I have a brand new bottle of gin calling my name.

ETA, I just remembered gin and TWW isn't a great idea, so I guess it will be pineapple rum.

@JennyColadaI'm sorry you're dealing with an ass canoe at work. His language is incredibly triggering. It doesn't matter that no customers heard him. You did, and you should not be subjected to that. Contacting HR is a good call imho. They will side with you, especially because mouthing gendered insults at clients makes him a huge liability. It may not be the right reason, but just having these incidents on record will be worth it.

I also think you deserve a chocolate cupcake for sharing oxygen with the guy, and he deserves some brown frosting on his chair.

As to me? I am folding laundry. This pile will get smaller eventually, right? Right? Please?
