@MississippiCatfish, I haven't watched criminal minds in such a long time. I used to watch it every week and the reruns, that and law and order SVU (don't like criminal intent). I stopped because it was messing with my dreams and I believe that there's only so much messed up a mind can take.
I was eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch and accidentally swallowed a piece whole. It was stuck in my throat but I could breathe around it, it just hurt. Drank a ton of water to get it down but now my throat hurts.
I'm trying to figure out where I can get the best deal on some clear plastic cups with lids. My toddler is a very resistant eater/drinker and will only drink certain things out of the McDonald's clear orange juice cups. We can't keep buying orange juice from McDonald's everyday (seriously it adds up) and washing out the cup all day long!
I think they did something wrong with my Makena shot this week. I had my injection on Tuesday morning and it's been itchy all week and there's a bump there (like a bad mosquito bite). This didn't happen with my 1st two injections.
I wish this board was a little more poppin! I love coming here on my breaks at school but I also feel like I'm not supposed to start a bunch of new threads all the time hahah.
So My random is since my SO is gone for two months in training Ive decided to reading again, which i usually fail at. What are your book recommendations?! I know I don't like Science fiction. Maybe some mystery? Some memoir type books? kinda open to anything!
@samsterrr I love the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, quick reads, at least to me. My mom has recommended to me the Janet Evanovich books, but I haven't read them yet. I think they're mystery novels. I'm not real up on newer books, but hope it helps!
@samsterrr there is an old thread where people talked about books they are reading I would check there using the search function. I think they talked about Liane Moriarty. She wrote Big Little Lies which they turned into a tv show. I've read all of hers and I enjoyed them.
@lancomechica2 I have joined but from those that are active on both it sounds like it. I was hoping to wait until more into the third trimester before joining but it's been pretty silent here lately.
It's 2am and we aren't home yet, I don't know the last time DH and I were up this late together. DD has been staying at my parents the past several days because they had my niece and requested her to stay over. We missed her so we picked her up today but she cried that her cousin didn't get to sleep over. So...we took my niece for the night, we went to a drive-in theater for a double feature. The truck was a good investment, we put a blow up mattress in the back in with blankets and got a radio and watched the movies. Fun had for all. Can't wait to sleep now.
I went to my first rock concert ever. It's not my type of music, like not even a little bit, but my SIL and BIL wanted DH and I to come so we did. I must say it was an interesting experience lol, but it was a good time being out with grown ups for awhile.

I'm reading the NIX right now. I thought the Nightingale was amazing but really heavy.
We are in Aspen now and heading home today. I have so much work ahead of me I'm going to try to get something done on the plane. Thank goodness for technology keeping V occupied for 3 hours
@bklynchica@JDW0325 We went to the Open Air in Chicago area and there were a ton of bands, but the notable ones were Skeether, Godsmack, and Korn. Do you ladies like any of those?
@lancomechica2 technology is amazing for keeping the kiddos occupied for a bit in order to get things done. I know some people are pretty against it, but I'm so grateful lol
@littlemissc17 yeah I was pretty anti devices but as long as he is learning most of the time and he puts it away when he is supposed to I am ok with it. We have gotten side-eyed a few times in public but oh well.

I just got the book Secrets in the Cellar, now I just have to find time to read it. I really like the author James Patterson! His chapters are really short which makes me read the book faster.

James Patterson is my favorite author. I started reading his Alex Cross series but never finished. He comes out with a new book every few months. I can't keep up!
Apparently my baby is thw size of a cantelope... cantelopes are really big. Next week my baby is a cauliflower.... cauliflowers are not bigger than cantelopes are they? Its so hard because i KNOW most grocery items are filled with hormones and are not the size they shluld be.

That seems off. Cantaloupe is big!! Is this from the bump app?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
This is a random rant as I really don't know where else to put this... Here it goes, I have expressed before my mom and I don't have the best relationship and this morning we got into a nasty ( a really nasty) fight on text . I typically just ignore the nonsense she throws at me but I don't know if it were the pregnancy hormones or not but I really lost my top on her and just let my temper go. I felt awful but I feel like she had it coming. The result, she now has blocked me from her phone (whatsapp). I think I was justified in yelling and getting angry at her but I feel bad for saying some other things but I just could not help it. I think I lost it because she told me if I talked to her this way something bad will happen to me which just made me even more furious. Now I am sitting here feeling horrible about everything and just honestly feeling depressed. I would never want to be this mom to my daughter- I don't think my mom ever wanted to be this way with me but this is how we are and all my fears of being the same with my daughter are coming up. I know there is no relationship between the two but I just feel so sad right now.
@ShePersisted Maybe she will have some time to think on how she acts and treats you and she will decide a change is needed. It must be pregnancy hormones because I told my father off this weekend via text too. I didn't exactly call him a horrible father/grandfather like I really wanted to but told him we were lucky to have my fiance's father who's always there for us.
