Testing: I've been saying 14dpo, but all the "symptoms" and BSC has set in, so maybe I'll have to amend this to 11dpo. Rationale: Sunday (10dpo), I will do my weekly grocery shop at our local supermarket, which is the only place I will buy FRERs because they are significantly more expensive at any other store, and then I'll save one for FMU on Monday morning.

CS/Q: So I shared this situation with the WTO gals the other day...we came to the beach with my parents this week (DH had to stay home to work). Fortunately, I confirmed O, but temping at the beach is almost impossible because my mom insisted on sharing a room with me and letting my dad have his own room. (I don't discuss TTC or temping with my mom, so she keeps asking about the noise, is it your phone? Yes mom. So this morning when my alarm goes off, I jump out of bed, grab the bbt and take it with me to the bathroom to temp. My temp is low (like pre-O temps) at 97.3. I knew it would be off because I got out of bed, but it's lower than I anticipated and now I feel like my chart will be all over. We are headed home tomorrow, but it's been almost impossible to temp here. (I guess more of a rant than a question!)
GTKY: Finish this sentence: The best part about waking up is....
@dukestar5 Ugh, going on vacation while you're trying to confirm O is really frustrating. Hopefully you get more reliable temps when you get back home, and having sex again just in case you haven't O'd yet wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

R/R: AF should be here Monday. Just in time for me to be out in the field for work. At least I won't have any time to be sad. Rave- I got to work early so hopefully I can get out of here early and go to the river to enjoy this 100 degree day!
CS/Q: Any insight on what causes spotting before AF besides progesterone? Or natural remedies to try to help it? I had my progesterone checked last cycle at 7dpo and it was good (17.7) and my temp is still high even though I'm spotting.

@mrsmiller8588 Sorry about your spotting. Unfortunately, I have no idea. Maybe the chart stalk thread?

@dukestar5 Thank you! I kind of feel some AF symptoms. I've had some BSC thoughts that maybe I'm pregnant but that'd be impossible since we abstained during FW. I'm just here this cycle to figure out LP.
@hedgepig Yay crosshairs! Quilting sounds so fun and relaxing. What do you do with them when they're finished?
@wisewitch222 Are you excited to be moving back home?
@SkilledSailor Yes, I'm super excited to move back home, and TTC is really enjoyable next to the prospect of being at home for pregnancy and having a baby this time.
@wisewitch222 I know FRERs are supposed to be the most accurate but to feed my poas addiction I keep a large supply of Easy at Home (or Wondfo) tests on hand. I mean, they aren't as reassuring as a digi when positive but I buy them in a pack of 30 OPK/20 HPT from Amazon and that is like $20. It's nice to have a fancier test on hand just to reiterate a BFP but my .02 is that FRERs are like burning money, especially if you have an inclination to test early and often.
@dukestar5 I'm sorry your temps are giving you a hard time. Sometimes even during LP you can have weird temp fluctuations that are just flukes.
@MrsMiller8588 Yay for getting out early! What will you do at the river? Swim, tube, boat? I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your Q, maybe try the Chart Stalk thread if no one here knows. Does it happen often?

This is not a symptom spot thing - I have gotten it on and off since I was 13, at which time I didn't understand what it was and there was some testing done, they said possibly cysts although I don't recall if they saw one or just said that's what it is. Anyhoo, I only get it on my right side, so I assume it's when Righty (my incredibly original name for my right ovary) O's. It's been especially bad this month, yesterday it really acted up although it seems fine today (O pain is sometimes worse immediately post-loss so I am thinking that is why it is worse this month) I read somewhere this is a thing that happens to some women but can't find it now, and just wondered how common it is. @zamora_spin I totally agree about the Wondfos. I am a POAS addict and I try to save FRER for confirmation rather than for obsessive and frequent testing. Plus, I love that I can Amazon prime them and not worry about running into someone I know when buying pregnancy tests (which I know makes me really mature that I worry about that)
@mileswithmyles We live in a REALLY small town so when I've had to buy tests I had to wait until I was travelling or in the next town over because I definitely would have seen someone I knew/known the cashier. @dukestar5 Sorry for the wonky vacation temps. That's frustrating. Though, I am laughing at the excuse that you gave your mom. I might agree with wisewitch222 to keep HIO just in case.
@MrsMiller8588 I'll usually spot 1-3 days before a full flow, but that always comes with a temp drop. I looked at your chart- are your temps usually that high with spotting?
@zamora_spin I agree, internet cheapies FTW. FRERs are like burning money. Also, I always get mittelschmerz and, occasionally, I'll have post O pain too. Though, the post O is more like an ache and the pre O is more like an explosion. I don't have any cool information about that, other than to say that I get it too. *TW loss mentioned- Coincidentally, my O pain was also waaaaayyyy worse that first O AL, as were my period cramps. My phone alarm. I have a really peaceful instrumental song set as my alarm noise and I actually really enjoy waking up to it. Also, I've been getting up earlier and having alone coffee time in the mornings, which has been really nice.
@kbamomma33. I'm with you-enjoying a cup of coffee alone (before anyone wakes up) is so refreshing. It just helps ease you into the day! And I was also going to agreeing with you on the cleaning house part...it's not my talent unfortunately, so I treasure when our cleaning lady comes!
@kbamomma33 I don't have a ton of data on my temps for my LP, but it looks like last month my temp dropped (still above cover line) on my second day of spotting (11 dpo). At least one other month my temp stayed relatively the same during spotting until a drop at CD1. But the high temps is another reason I'm not convinced it's a progesterone issue. But everything I can find about premenstraul spotting says it's related to progesterone dropoff.

@kbamomma33@dukestar5 I also heart the by-myself cup of morning coffee. That's part of the reason I set the alarm so early. If I can just get a half hour on the couch with my coffee and my phone, I start the day all refreshed.
@zamora_spin and @kbamomma33 Yeah, I know FRERs are expensive, but I'm allowing myself the indulgence because it's just the first cycle. Also, I can't handle peeing in a cup, so internet cheapies are out. It's all or nothing for me!
@wisewitch222 Girrrl, I hope you are ku this cycle because otherwise you are going to have to learn to pee in a cup. Like, I peed in a cup 10 straight days this month for OPKs. @kbamomma33 Well at least I'm not alone! I definitely think that is why it was worse this month. @wisewitch222@hedgepig According to the box I bought today, at 11dpo FRERs are 99%+ accurate. And they are much more $ than internet cheapies - so holding out until 11dpo makes sense - if you can wait. And I still pee in a cup for the pricey tests - incase I need to dip a second.

GTKY: Finish this sentence: The best part about waking up is.... The countdown to bedtime begins. Ok, I'm just tired today. Normally the best part about waking up is being productive in the mornings. It's my best time of day.
@wisewitch222 Yay for good insurance! And fresh coffee!
@dukestar5 Sorry about your temping troubles! That sounds stressful.
@mrsmiller8588 Sorry about your spotting. Unfortunately, I have no idea. Maybe the chart stalk thread?
@fishsticks-n-custard. Nooo! Boo. We miss you already. Come back here soon.
@wisewitch222. Yes for sure! When do you close on your new house? Are you moving to a new town or same one?
@MrsMiller8588. I hope you get to leave work early and relax on the river. (And I'm sorry I can't be of more help regarding spotting. Do you normally have spotting as AF approaches? I never do, so for me, I would wonder what it mean. FX for you!
@SkilledSailor. Rooting for you! Any symptoms either way?
Got my CHs today, so I go here now! I'm looking forward to spending some time with you ladies!
@wisewitch222 That sounds like my kind of rationale!
@kiwi2628 Yay for doggy snuggies!
@dukestar5 I don't have enough experience to answer your question except to say that I've totally been in that situation of regretting even temping on vacation because of the confusion it brings. FX it's just a fluke!
@mrsmiller8588 I like starting a new day too - good answer. Sorry about AF
@skilledsailor Too bad things have been so busy for you... I'm glad you have the weekend to look forward to.

But instead I got the cuddles and kisses this morning! And then she screamed at me in between the curtains while I showered (usually something she only does to DH) WTF cat? I
that you want my attention for once, but you're freaking my BSC brain out man!
CS/Q: Nah... but chart in spoiler
GTKY: Finish this sentence: The best part about waking up is... Seeing what my temp is at? (it's my first month of temping so I still find it interesting to see what it's gonna do lol). But otherwise cuddling DH in the warm blankets if it's cold out, or kicking him off me and running away to get to the shower first if it's hot out.

@hedgepig Yay crosshairs! And my 11dpo rationale just got way stronger from the statistical analysis of FRERs on the BSC-enabling site countdowntopregnancy.com, but my grocery price rationale will hold strong and prevent me from testing sooner.
@dukestar5 have fun at the beach but sorry to hear about your temping woes
@fishsticks-n-custard aww *hugs* sorry for CD1. Stupid Twatwaffle Flo
@MrsMiller8588 that sucks about spotting! I usually will spot 2-3 days before AF shows her full ugly face too. Never bother to look into why, it's just my "normal" so let me know if you get any insight!
@SkilledSailor glad to hear you're going to get some relaxation soon!
@hedgepig *wave* hai! Ooo kind of quilt are you doing? I have a scrap quilt that I've been playing around with. If you show me yours, I'll show you mine

@hedgepig Yay crosshairs! Quilting sounds so fun and relaxing. What do you do with them when they're finished?
@wisewitch222 Are you excited to be moving back home?
@kiwi2628 FX for your beta!
@fishsticks-n-custard Sorry to see you go
@dukestar5 I'm sorry your temps are giving you a hard time.
@SkilledSailor What color is it highlighted? Light pink? And how do you know it will be CD3?
@hedgepig Yay for CH's! That is so cool that you quilt! My mom and my grandmother are great at sowing but I've never learned. How and when did you learn?

R/R: It's Friday!
CS/Q: Does anyone else get post-O O-pain? Chart in spoiler if you want to cs.

@wisewitch222 that is great news about the house
@dukestar5 I am jealous of your morning run
@fishsticks-n-custard @MrsMiller8588 I'm sorry
@SkilledSailor it might be a recommended test day. Mine has CD8 of my next cycle highlighted for that reason. Is the box white and outlined in pink?
@hedgepig yay for crosshairs!
@lurvleybunchococonuts Yes! I love when I can stay in bed when it's cold, too. It's so comforting.

@wisewitch222 Uuuugghhhh girl PREACH on that early morning auto brew. I love (when I actually remember to set mine) waking up to that smell and a fresh cup waiting for me.
@dukestar5 Sorry for the wonky vacation temps. That's frustrating. Though, I am laughing at the excuse that you gave your mom. I might agree with wisewitch222 to keep HIO just in case.
Sorry to hear that @fishsticks-n-custard.
@MrsMiller8588 I'll usually spot 1-3 days before a full flow, but that always comes with a temp drop. I looked at your chart- are your temps usually that high with spotting?
@hedgepig Hay girl hay. Yay for CHs!
I'm not sure why that is, but I feel you on the fact that it sucks. Hang in there. *TW*
@mileswithmyles I am extremely jealous that you have a cleaning lady. I want one! I love having a clean house but I suck at maintaining one.

@zamora_spin and @kbamomma33 Yeah, I know FRERs are expensive, but I'm allowing myself the indulgence because it's just the first cycle. Also, I can't handle peeing in a cup, so internet cheapies are out. It's all or nothing for me!
@kbamomma33 Well at least I'm not alone! I definitely think that is why it was worse this month. Like, I went home and took a bath last night because it was just an ouch-fest all afternoon.

@wisewitch222 Sunday/Monday works out well for not having it sitting around more than a day. FX!
@dukestar5 Other than the temping, was the beach enjoyable???
@mrsmiller8588 Have you had your thyroid checked? Hx of endometriosis, cysts, cervical issues, etc? Ever mentioned it to your doctor? Some people also have very light spotting with O itself. Sorry about the puzzling spotting. I spot a 2-3 days before my next cycle.
@hedgepig You have time to waller in bed in the morning? Jealous. Kind of. I'm the jump out at the very last minute and get every last second of sleep-but-not-really-good-sleep possible.
@Zamora_spin Insert "cat" instead of "dog" for me!
@mileswithmyles Is the morning coffee & sunset a regular thing? If so, super impressed you make time for that!
I'm SURE I missed somepeople. I have had a ridiculously busy week & haven't been able to be around much/keep up with dailies.

@dukestar5 we are leaving on Monday and driving from CA to OR. The camp site we will be at the first week has some great trails so I am hoping to get some running in.
@jrm_14 It happens pretty consistently. I'm off for summer break so it's not as frequent right now. I don't always sit outside, but our kitchen table faces the sliding door that opens to the backyard. I sit and drink my coffee and eat breakfast so I can see the sun come up through the slider. I'm sorry about your doctor retiring!
