My name is Dilynne and I'm afraid of cotton balls. Not like, run away screaming but if I pick up a bottle of Advil and it's got the cotton smushed in the top I make H deal with it cause I just can't
@pebbledam Is pizza with ranch something that haters hate? When I was in college the local drunk pizza joint that served huge slices of pizza until 4am had a giant pump bottle of ranch on the counter and everyone just ranched all over their slices. Now I want pizza with ranch.
Found out recently that my ex-step father has testicular cancer (along with stage 3 renal failure due to untreated high blood pressure and diabetes). My reaction upon finding out was to laugh. He's always been an abusive (mentally, emotionally, and sometimes physically) dick. So KARMA! The only thing I feel bad about is that my little brother (technically 1/2 brother) is taking it really hard and has to go through this with his dad. *hugs to my bro* but truly I couldn't care less about Xstepdad. Am I going to hell? Yes. I feel like as a human being I should feel somewhat guilty about this, but can't bring myself to care. Myabe that's my my unresolved issues with him talking. I should probably seek counseling hmm...
And now that I've brought a cloud of gloom over FFFC... I enjoy peeing in the shower. Also ranch is great on pizza! And I HATE the feeling of cotton balls especially the ones used for packing like in pill bottles. The kind you use for removing nail polish or at home doesn't bother me, but that icky feeling kind that is in a bottle for packing makes my skin crawl!

@lurvleybunchococonuts I've got an x step dad as well, it sounds like they could be the same person. He could get hit by a bus tomorrow and I already know my first reaction would be a chuckle.. Because, karma. I don't think it makes you a bad person, just human.
@mileswithmyles, @lurvleybunchococonuts, @acunamatada - I have an ex-stepdad, too, but he really wasn't all that terrible. BUT my I haven't talked to my biological father in 15 years! Yay for dysfunctional families!

@mileswithmyles, @lurvleybunchococonuts, @pebbledam, I hadn't talked to my father for almost 10 years, he ghosted around my 16th bday. I started talking to that side of the family again, including him and I'm realizing that I didn't miss much. I've seen him 3/4 times in the past year and I can count on one hand the number of sentences he's said to me. Crazy!
My dad isn't terrible, just not really "there for his kids". He especially has a hard time being on speaking terms with all his children at once. My xstepdad, well... yeah. I'm glad my mom eventually figured it out, and I'm only slightly resentful that it took her so long to leave him. Thankfully they were separated (for the 3rd time) when I was finishing high school so I didn't have to live with/see him much. Once they got back together again though I moved out on my own ASAP! Took my mom until about 5 years ago to leave him. My 'rents divorced when I was about 2-3, (found out recently that apparently mom had cheated dad with x-stepdad). Then X-stepdad & mom got married when I was around 5. Ugh, he is truly one of the only people I know that I categorize as hating. His impact on my life is/was one of my biggest hangups about having kids of my own. Thankfully I've gotten over that for the most part.
^^got long and ranty, so spoiler box if you wanna skip lol lol... man, hormones are making me doom and gloom all up in this biznatch.

@Dilynne. The feel of cotton balls literally makes me gag. There are none in our home, and never will be. @lurvleybunchococonuts. Your feelings are natural. Feelings are never wrong, it's what we do in response that makes the difference. Warm wishes as you sort this out & help support your bro. And I also pre in the shower in the regular. @pebbledam I get ranch as the sauce on my pizza.
MH is terrified of the tap water in our house. He insists on using the filtered for everything from cooking, coffee, boiling water, etc. I almost always use tap. He has no idea and I silently smile whenever he makes a comment about how much better everything is with filtered.
@jrm_14 if you ever decide to tell him you've been using tap water for all those things please record his reaction. I imagine it'd be epic!

DF refuses to eat greens regularly, if he could only eat meat 24/7 he would. Little does he know I sneak chocolate flavored superfood powder into his protein shakes... What he doesn't know won't hurt him.
@fishsticks-n-custard it essentially tracks everything for you right, at least temp wise? *TW* from what you've said about your work schedule and w/ LO might be worth it? *End TW* Worse case you spend $200 on an ugly bracelet? LMAO I vaguely looked at it too, but the irregularities in my cycle made it not worth it.

@fishsticks-n-custard I've been looking at that too, I can't find a decent time to temp that doesn't also sacrifice my sleep. I wish they'd invent a regular fitness tracker that was capable of this too so I could justify the price.
@lurvleybunchococonuts looks like it tracks temp and resting HR. I haven't heard much about the resting HR but it at least makes physiologic sense that you would see fluctuations with that as well. Their website had a "healthcare provider" section too which had some interesting data. I figured this is really the only way I'm going to be able to temp! Because I wondered if this month was a bust because I was having a surge but didn't actually ovulate? *TW* Apparently that's common in breastfeeding I've read *end TW*

So I've had a really busy week *ugh work* and I'm sitting here trying to catch up on posts...
so in my head I'm literally saying "quit fu#%ing playing" Everytime I see QFP and then I realize it means "quoted for posterity" and I got a little sad.
My favorite "go to" response when I don't need something is, "oh, let me talk to my husband." (I'm actually the finance person in our relationship, and he probably should check with me )
@Redpuma119 whenever hubbie and I go shopping for a large ticket item, occasionally the salesperson will make some asinine comment to my husband like, "she's spending all your money huh?" When I'm actually the major breadwinner. I usually reply, "you just lost your commission" and we walk out.
Me: 35, Hubbie: 33 Married DH: 2013 DD: Dec 2015 BFP 8/14/17 --> Due 4/27/2018
@thatcrazyauntie. Ha, I totally thought it was Quit F'n Playing. As yesterday I also admitted I thought BD was 'bumping dirties' for the sex. @lurvleybunchococonuts. Last week he saw me fill a pot with tap and he got so mad, he ended up making dinner himself. Um, okay? Is that all it takes for,you to do dinner? Done. @acunamatada. I hide the real deal in his food all the time. @Redpuma119. Ditto to all that. And if I don't want to commit to a social event.
I keep a notebook on my lap at work if I'm bumping on my phone so if someone pops in, it looks like I'm doing something legit on my lap in my notebook.
@Redpuma119 I do that whenever I don't want to do something. My husband knows if I'm asking him if I can do something to automatically say no- I do what I want and if I'm asking, it means I'm looking for an excuse to get out of it.
My confession is that I'm so bloated and gassy that I just undid the button on my pants as I'm sitting in an uber. I know exactly what I'm doing when I get into my house.

@Dilynne I hate cotton balls too. Like my whole body gets a gross tingly feeling when I touch one. I can basically only touch them if they are a little bit damp.
@fishsticks-n-custard I agree that with your schedule and LO it could work for you. I curious to see how it works for you.
