Hi Ladies. So, not only could they not find a heart beat, they couldn't even find a baby. There was a long, fluid filled shape of something inside the uterus but my doctor was not comfortable saying that it was for sure remnants of a developing embryo so now I am being monitored for an ectopic. I had blood work drawn after my appointment and he hopes to see a low beta. I don't know if he will since I still have random nausea and really sore boobs. If my beta is high, we have to continue to investigate an ectopic. I'll stop my progesterone and hopefully that will bring on AF and subsequently lower and lower beta numbers. That would be the best case scenario. In the fog of everything that has happened today, I don't know if we will try again or not. I'll still keep my IVF appointment for Monday just in case, but I have a feeling we will just move on with life after two losses. What a roller coaster. We're very lucky to have the two children we do. I'm pretty numb right now but I'm sure this will all hit me over the next little while. The biggest thing I'm feeling is extreme anxiety over the possibility of an ectopic (I worry about my health all the time so this will not help.....).

I just heard back from my doctor and my beta this afternoon came back at 412, so the number is going down by itself. He said this is good evidence that it was probably an intrauterine pregnancy that stopped developing and is trying to resolve itself (I'm guessing it probably would have sooner but being on progesterone supps may have delayed the inevitable). They're going to follow my betas back to 0. Still sucks, but at least I hopefully don't have an ectopic and all of the stuff that comes with that, so it makes the decision to potentially try again a little bit less daunting to make. It would be a whole lot less stressful if we could just make a baby the old fashioned way, but I digress.....
I'm really going to miss you ladies and I truly hope I'm the last one to leave. If I'm in a good place mentally/emotionally come March, I may just pop in to see how you are all doing and see your new bundles of joy.
