    R/R: Now that I'm approaching opk time, I'm beginning to feel anxious. Not knowing if I'll O on CD16 or CD60 or somewhere in between does not help. All of the combined issues we have are drawn out over an agonizingly possible FW.

    WAYDTGKU: ***TW kids mentioned* I am trying to wean my son this week. I've been unsuccessful trying to conceive while nursing in the past. We're pretty much going cold turkey so my chest has been pretty sore. Other than that it appears my period has finally stopped.Woo-hoo! So let the baby dancing begin.

    R/R My hobo wallet was in my bag and got put next to a wet swimsuit! I had to tell my husband I ruined it. Thankfully he was awesome and let me order another one.

    GTKY: IDK how to do a spoiler but I think what everyone else has said.
  • @doxiemoxie212 Ahh thanks!

    R/R: I was invited to submit a full grant proposal for a competitive grant in my field! My coworker didn't make that cut, and he has a project that I thought would be more sexy to reviewers.

    CS/Q: so I think today is O day! I've never O'ed before CD20 before, so I'm pumped that my cycles are finally getting more predictable and we don't have to BD quite as much. I got a positive OPK yesterday around 6 (it was just barely negative at 10), but my temp was confusing this morning. I woke up at 3am thinking it was my normal time and temped, then had some trouble going back to sleep right away, woke up at 6 in a panic that I thought I slept through my alarm, then temped. The first temp was 97.44 and the second temp was 97.72. I used the first because I'm pretty sure the second was artificially high due to poor sleep and waking up with my heart racing (plus the OPK and CM would suggest u didn't O yesterday). Chart in spoiler.

    GTKY: is there an alternative answer?

  • GUYS people have already said different answers! lol

    Background on this question: about two years ago, I discovered DH and I had different opinions on this. I told him he's absolutely nuts, and went to work and told all my colleagues that he was a crazy person. Little did I know, half my colleagues agreed with him! What?? So, I'm curious if that will happen here. Seems like the vast majority are *cough* in the right and agree with me, but seems like a few are on DH's team!
  • I got CHs this morning so over to TWW I go. Hope to see everyone there soon! <3

    @Dilynne Exes and hoes....  :D

    @pebbledam FWIW, I'm pretty sure that FF categorizes W CM the same as EW in regards to determining O date. I hardly ever see EWCM.

    @icecubeinthedesert yasss for more predictable cycles! FX for you!

    @cm716
    Good luck going cold turkey! Are you pumping a little to let off the pressure at least? When I weaned DD, she was just nursing once before bed so we just went cold turkey and I didn't pump at all. Well... I got a clog and it hurt really bad. I had to pump for a couple days and do warm compresses to finally work it out. It sucked! Don't let it happen to you. I'm sure that if I had at least pumped a little bit each night or every other night at first it probably wouldn't have happened. Careful with those sore boobs! Good luck!
  • @kbamomma33 - FF does count W and EW the same, but what I meant is that I get fertile CM sporadically outside of FW all the time. Clip of last cycle below:

  • @pebbledam if that ava device wasn't so damn expensive, I'd say that your schedule is who it is made for. Serious props to you on that chart.
  • Mobile is horrible for adding spoilers....
    @Dilynne, that's great about the office stuff.  But, it is also great sometimes when they think you are useless, less is expected of you. Haha

    @doxiemoxie212, my DH is horrible about keeping up with where I am in the cycle.  He asked me the other day if I was possible pregnant.  Sometimes I swear he is an idiot.

    @cm716   TW, good luck weaning, how often do you nurse?

    @icecubeinthedesert, congratulations on the proposal, and fx for O-ing.

    R/R: When walking my dog this morning, some of his poo fell out of the bag I was holding and dropped onto my foot. I was wearing sandals. It was a great way to start the morning.

    CS/Q: What would you all trust more: temps or OPKs? Apparently I maybe O'd super early this cycle (3 days earlier than later. Last cycle was 3 days later than usual. Thanks, body.) I put in a high temp for tomorrow and it gives me CH at CD11. But my temps and my OPKs don't match up.
    Note: the open circle from CD11 was cause I temped 45 min earlier than usual.

    I'm with you @doxiemoxie212 and if your husband has it backwards, that's weird.

    The O's are hugs because it's like a circle of arms, the Xs are kisses because an X looks like two people puckering up. Science.

    R/R: dear diary rant in spoiler with TW for someone getting KU (not me!)
    So it's my birthday this morning and I went to coffee with a friend before work. Last time I talked to her about TTC, she said they were waiting to start trying until 2018 and she knew we were already trying. But this morning she told me she's 7 weeks and they got KU on the first try. She told me about kindly telling our mutual friend who's been trying since January and then said something about how DH and I *just* started trying. I was like, well I mean for 5+ months, so not super long, but not just started either. I am happy for her and I wasn't even really upset at all (again, I know it's not been super long), it just was totally unexpected. And also not 100% awesome when I just finally started AF this morning, it's my bday, and I feel like I'm futilely working really hard at this TTC thing.

  • @looeeze
    He says the Os are kisses because your mouth looks like a little O when you pucker, and the Xs are what your arms look like when you cross them around someone. I just can't. It blew my mind. I was like, ALL THIS TIME YOU'VE BEEN SENDING ME "hug kiss hug kiss" instead of "kiss hug kiss hug"??? DO I EVEN KNOW YOU??? lol
  • @looeze I think it's possible you O'd on OPK day based on temps and OPK... maybe your ovaries swap days? I've noticed a pattern over the months in terms of days.

    @elisek I feel like if I had a friend who got pregnant on her first cycle trying it wouldn't upset me or hurt my feelings, but I would be frustrated by it because I feel like it would make me feel like anything I'd said about "not everyone gets pregnant on the first try!" would be invalidated in their eyes. Derp. :expressionless:
  • @Dilynne Leo from Romeo & Juliet though, right? Cause The Revenant Leo is not gonna cut it.

    @pebbledam Sorry for the anxiety :/ FWIW, green tea has been giving me some fabulous CM.

    @justkeepswimming8 FX for you!

  • @doxiemoxie212 - I'm pretty sure my 73-day cycle would have broken the ava bracelet. @doxiemoxie212 - yes! that is the feeling. like I know I'm not upset, it's just that I am again forced to reckon with the truth that getting KU is not a magic machine where you win the prize if you insert x amount of healthy activities, have sex y amount of times, and track z amount of signs. It is not a strategy game, it is just a game of chance.

    If you don't have BP issues, sudafed can help dry you out a little quicker. Peppermint can too so a little peppermint tea might help. I agree with @kbamomma33, be sure to relieve a little of the pressure even just with hand expression. You don't want a clogged duct or mastitis, they both suck donkey balls.

  • @pebbledam do you see the sun much during the day since you work nights? I ask because I read something about vitamin D but also just sun in general I think maybe related to melatonin (?) and fertility.

    @doxiemoxie212 - I do on the weekends and I supplement during the winter. Besides, it only takes like 10 minutes outside to make enough vitamin D and I'm sure I get that since I have dogs that want out approximately 45 times a day.

  • @icecubeinthedesert lol your pup poops right on you?! ewwwww. How big is your dog? I don't think mine could get his butt on me to cuddle, he's 80 lbs. I'm not in science, I'm in politics. But I do a ton of grant writing so I'm well-versed. My coverline last cycle was at 97.2, and the only other months I've temped were Nov last year (also 97.2) and January this year (96.8). So my temps today and yesterday were both about at 97.2. Are you trusting your temps or your OPK at this point?
  • @pebbledam yeah, I go outside like, not at all these days because my classes are all online. I did some rabbit hole googling about it, and I think it's not just vitamin D related, but IDK. I take vitamin D supplements, and I'm trying to motivate myself to go outside more often lol but it's so hot out! And my dog is on extended summer vacation in California with my mom so she's not here to motivate me! lol
  • @looeeze, I'm going with my OPK now, because my temps are *just* below my usual coverline (usually 97.45-97.5 ish). As for my pup, there's always a blanket in between. She's only a 20ish lb pug. So if it happens, it's easier to clean up (and the blanket goes straight in the wash). But the poor girl doesn't get as many snuggles anymore  :'( it's funny because she hated snuggles until she didn't get them as much.

    On top of this, I was supposed to recruit pie judges for our local pie contest at my church, and one of them bailed on me the week before. She is a friend, and she kind of forced her way in when I didn't want her, and she just forgot and removed the request for the day off. And when I was upset about it she got mad at me, and said it's not her fault. She's trying to act like everything is normal every time I see her and I'm finding it hard. I could have got passed the bailing on me, I just couldn't handle the not feeling any remorse and making me feel like it's on me that I'm mad. And our husbands and friends are the type to just ignore stupid female emotional issues, so I feel kind of frustrated and stuck. *Sigh*
