Background on this question: about two years ago, I discovered DH and I had different opinions on this. I told him he's absolutely nuts, and went to work and told all my colleagues that he was a crazy person. Little did I know, half my colleagues agreed with him! What?? So, I'm curious if that will happen here. Seems like the vast majority are *cough* in the right and agree with me, but seems like a few are on DH's team!
Good luck going cold turkey! Are you pumping a little to let off the pressure at least? When I weaned DD, she was just nursing once before bed so we just went cold turkey and I didn't pump at all. Well... I got a clog and it hurt really bad. I had to pump for a couple days and do warm compresses to finally work it out. It sucked! Don't let it happen to you. I'm sure that if I had at least pumped a little bit each night or every other night at first it probably wouldn't have happened. Careful with those sore boobs! Good luck!
@Dilynne - Now I will think that the next time I hear that song! @justkeepswimming8 - Yay for EWCM! @doxiemoxie212 - That's actually a big reason why I don't dye or do anything fancy with my hair. I'm too lazy to make the rest match. @holly321 - You are totes wrong! O's are hugs! @icecubeinthedesert - I'm super stoked for your potentially "early" O! And I agree with your use of the earlier temp.

Mobile is horrible for adding spoilers.... @Dilynne, that's great about the office stuff. But, it is also great sometimes when they think you are useless, less is expected of you. Haha
@doxiemoxie212, my DH is horrible about keeping up with where I am in the cycle. He asked me the other day if I was possible pregnant. Sometimes I swear he is an idiot.
@cm716 TW, good luck weaning, how often do you nurse?
R/R: When walking my dog this morning, some of his poo fell out of the bag I was holding and dropped onto my foot. I was wearing sandals. It was a great way to start the morning.
CS/Q: What would you all trust more: temps or OPKs? Apparently I maybe O'd super early this cycle (3 days earlier than later. Last cycle was 3 days later than usual. Thanks, body.) I put in a high temp for tomorrow and it gives me CH at CD11. But my temps and my OPKs don't match up.
Note: the open circle from CD11 was cause I temped 45 min earlier than usual.
GTKY: what do the Xs and what do the Os stand for, in your opinion, in xoxo? Put your answer in a spoiler. I'm with you @doxiemoxie212 and if your husband has it backwards, that's weird.

So it's my birthday this morning and I went to coffee with a friend before work. Last time I talked to her about TTC, she said they were waiting to start trying until 2018 and she knew we were already trying. But this morning she told me she's 7 weeks and they got KU on the first try. She told me about kindly telling our mutual friend who's been trying since January and then said something about how DH and I *just* started trying. I was like, well I mean for 5+ months, so not super long, but not just started either. I am happy for her and I wasn't even really upset at all (again, I know it's not been super long), it just was totally unexpected. And also not 100% awesome when I just finally started AF this morning, it's my bday, and I feel like I'm futilely working really hard at this TTC thing.

He says the Os are kisses because your mouth looks like a little O when you pucker, and the Xs are what your arms look like when you cross them around someone. I just can't. It blew my mind. I was like, ALL THIS TIME YOU'VE BEEN SENDING ME "hug kiss hug kiss" instead of "kiss hug kiss hug"??? DO I EVEN KNOW YOU??? lol
@looeze I think it's possible you O'd on OPK day based on temps and OPK... maybe your ovaries swap days? I've noticed a pattern over the months in terms of days.
@elisek I feel like if I had a friend who got pregnant on her first cycle trying it wouldn't upset me or hurt my feelings, but I would be frustrated by it because I feel like it would make me feel like anything I'd said about "not everyone gets pregnant on the first try!" would be invalidated in their eyes. I hope it starts making sense soon. And ewww dog poo. @elisek - Happy birthday, lady! I'm glad to see you back posting (though it would be more awesome if you were KTFU). @doxiemoxie212 - yes! that is the feeling. like I know I'm not upset, it's just that I am again forced to reckon with the truth that getting KU is not a magic machine where you win the prize if you insert x amount of healthy activities, have sex y amount of times, and track z amount of signs. If you don't have BP issues, sudafed can help dry you out a little quicker. Peppermint can too so a little peppermint tea might help. I agree with @kbamomma33, be sure to relieve a little of the pressure even just with hand expression. You don't want a clogged duct or mastitis, they both suck donkey balls.

@dilynne, glad to hear you're crushing it at work! And lol to exes and hoes
@pebbledam, and I thought I had crazy cycles. I hope they start evening out for you too. I did notice that I alternated between long and "short" cycles. But it could have also been a stress problem for me (finding a new job, buying a new house, etc last year was pretty nuts). But the changes I've made recently that might have something to do with evening out my cycles are giving up ibuprofen for good (I used to take it during AF for cramps and very rarely for things like back aches). It can delay O. Also recently switched the majority of my beauty and shower products to paraben/phathalate free versions.
@justkeepswimming8, yay for hitting all you're FW goals! Everyday? What a champ. DH would never make it.
@doxiemoxie212, good point about having to be in your makeup game with your pink hair. This is probably why I've gone au natural for the most part. My makeup game is so much lazier than it used to be, and I've embraced my natural curls. I have even had my balayage updated in like 15 months. Also, Re the GTKY, I was worried I was missing some super dirty secret meaning and have been using it wrong all these years, lol.
@holly321, wow it looks like a whole bunch of us will be moving over to TWW together soon!
@mrspeeweesmom, ugh sorry about the office chaos. What are you working on with your house?
@cm716, what's a hobo wallet? Sorry you ruined it, but yay for getting the ok to replace it!
@kbamomma33, good luck in the TWW! Hopefully I'll see you over there soon!
@looeeze, ugh, sorry about the poop bag situation. I feel your pain, I have an incontinent dog who frequently poops on me if we cuddle, and I have to clean up every morning before I eat my breakfast. As for your chart, where is your coverline usually? I also had higher temps this cycle before my positive OPK, but they were still below my usually post O temps. Also, how do you know grant lingo? Are you in science too? It seems we have so much in common lately!
@elisek, sorry, that's a rough start to a CD1 morning. I don't always use OPKs, but the 4 or 5 cycles I did, O is almost always the next day. I've never had a +OPK and not O'ed either.
@catlady1215, I'm also looking the chart addition. Also TWW has started including typical LP length. I stop posting in the dailies for one and a half cycles, and so much has changed!

@pebbledam do you see the sun much during the day since you work nights? I ask because I read something about vitamin D but also just sun in general I think maybe related to melatonin (?) and fertility.
@doxiemoxie212 - I do on the weekends and I supplement during the winter. Besides, it only takes like 10 minutes outside to make enough vitamin D and I'm sure I get that since I have dogs that want out approximately 45 times a day.

@icecubeinthedesert lol your pup poops right on you?! ewwwww. How big is your dog? I don't think mine could get his butt on me to cuddle, he's 80 lbs. I'm not in science, I'm in politics. But I do a ton of grant writing so I'm well-versed. My coverline last cycle was at 97.2, and the only other months I've temped were Nov last year (also 97.2) and January this year (96.8). So my temps today and yesterday were both about at 97.2. Are you trusting your temps or your OPK at this point?
@pebbledam yeah, I go outside like, not at all these days because my classes are all online. I did some rabbit hole googling about it, and I think it's not just vitamin D related, but IDK. I take vitamin D supplements, and I'm trying to motivate myself to go outside more often lol but it's so hot out! And my dog is on extended summer vacation in California with my mom so she's not here to motivate me! lol
@looeeze, I'm going with my OPK now, because my temps are *just* below my usual coverline (usually 97.45-97.5 ish). As for my pup, there's always a blanket in between. She's only a 20ish lb pug. So if it happens, it's easier to clean up (and the blanket goes straight in the wash). But the poor girl doesn't get as many snuggles anymore it's funny because she hated snuggles until she didn't get them as much.
Me: 30 | DH: 31 Met: August 2006 Married: July 2012 TTC #1 since June 2016
@pebbledam I'm with you on the O--anywhere from 22-40. It's frustrating and exhausting (since I'm determined to HIO EOD during FW which I don't accurately know so it can be a long time. )
@cm716 boo for your wallet being ruined but glad your H was onboard with you ordering another one
@icecubeinthedesert sometimes I don't get a high temp until 2 days after my last positive opk (this last cycle I played around with temping several times during the day. Even in the afternoon, my temps are still low. This time I noticed my temp spiked in the afternoon so by the time I recorded it in FF the following day, it had been 2 days)

On top of this, I was supposed to recruit pie judges for our local pie contest at my church, and one of them bailed on me the week before. She is a friend, and she kind of forced her way in when I didn't want her, and she just forgot and removed the request for the day off. And when I was upset about it she got mad at me, and said it's not her fault. She's trying to act like everything is normal every time I see her and I'm finding it hard. I could have got passed the bailing on me, I just couldn't handle the not feeling any remorse and making me feel like it's on me that I'm mad. And our husbands and friends are the type to just ignore stupid female emotional issues, so I feel kind of frustrated and stuck. *Sigh*

@pebbledam FWIW, I'm pretty sure that FF categorizes W CM the same as EW in regards to determining O date. I hardly ever see EWCM.
@icecubeinthedesert yasss for more predictable cycles! FX for you!
@cm716
@justkeepswimming8 - Yay for EWCM!

@icecubeinthedesert, congratulations on the proposal, and fx for O-ing.
@kbamomma33, yay for CH!

GTKY: what do the Xs and what do the Os stand for, in your opinion, in xoxo? Put your answer in a spoiler.
I'm with you @doxiemoxie212 and if your husband has it backwards, that's weird.
O - hug

@elisek I feel like if I had a friend who got pregnant on her first cycle trying it wouldn't upset me or hurt my feelings, but I would be frustrated by it because I feel like it would make me feel like anything I'd said about "not everyone gets pregnant on the first try!" would be invalidated in their eyes. Derp.
@pebbledam Sorry for the anxiety
@justkeepswimming8 FX for you!
@mrspeeweesmom Ugh, impersonal doctor offices are no fun. Hope naptime comes quickly for you.
@icecubeinthedesert Congrats on getting an RFP! That's a BFD.

@dilynne love your WAYDTGKUs lol
@pebbledam fx O doesn't take to long
@justkeepswimming8 yay for a positive OPK!

@holly321 fx for your O!
@mrspeeweesmom looove getting done with work early!
@icecubeinthedesert I'd be questionable on the temp today also. I'd just give it another go at it today and see what tomorrow's looks like.

@doxiemoxie212 I'm really hoping so cause that's the only chance I have this cycle. It's never come so early but since it's my 2nd cycle AL I think things are just all effed up. Before my MC I O'd consistently on CD 13-14.

@pebbledam I'm with you on the O--anywhere from 22-40. It's frustrating and exhausting (since I'm determined to HIO EOD during FW which I don't accurately know so it can be a long time. )
@justkeepswimming8 yay for positive OPK!
@doxiemoxie212 your H made me laugh!
@holly321 FX you O'd yesterday!
@mrspeeweesmom yay for a nap soon!
@kbamomma33 fx you don't come back over here!!

R/R: Rant: We found out that another person has placed a bid on our house, and now the bank is calling for our "highest and best offer." Stressful. I've been trying to make sure all of our things are in order so that we can be ready if we find out our bid is accepted.
*Sigh*

R/R: *TW* after some abnormally heavy bleeding and excruciatingly painful cramps I ended up in the ER. My ob/gyn was the on call doctor and according to my symptoms the last few days she thinks that I had an egg try to implant but it was immediately rejected. She said in these cases there is probably something wrong with the egg and it would likely have ended in a miscarriage regardless. I'm so bummed and feeling defeated. We were cleared for next cycle barring any further complications but it's a bust because I'll be with family and DH will be in Vegas. *end TW*
