    Yesterday at a local drop in playgroup one of the other mom's hauled off and spanked her kid right at the end because he was having a tantrum about having to leave. I mean, I'm a mom of 4 very young kids, I do understand that life gets frustrating and everyone has different parenting "techniques" but I mean come on, right in public? 

    Also, she had threatened my son earlier in the day that if he didn't share with her kid than he wouldn't be able to play at all and he would get a spanking. Ok lady, wtf, he's my kid, I was right there and will decide on how to handle it

    @sabriel1 To each his own with parenting choices (minus outright abuse, mind you), but to threaten *your* kid?? WTF?? I still remember being about 3 or 4 years old and being punished by a friend's mom and being forced to stand in the corner. My mom was LIVID when I told her. I was never sent back to that friend's house.

    @eggplantface that happened to me too!  I was like 7 years old and I told my friends mom I didn't eat squash (she had made as a side for dinner) and she proceeded to tell me I was a spoiled brat and put me in time out.  I was horrified and cried for my mom to pick me up.  When my mom got there she chewed the lady out and said I would never be back again lol.  My friend and I stayed friends however...despite our mother's differences in parenting!

    I was in a car accident yesterday...Thank god i am okay and the baby but wow the shock and adrenaline was horrible. Took today off from work just to rest...super scary :(

    That mom shouldn't have threatened your child--that is not her place.  There are times my almost 2 year old has run from me in a store or thrown a fit and I have swatted him in the butt (one time, not hard), and then thought, "crap, I hope nobody saw that and judged me".  I try to be understanding of other parents struggling in public.  Toddlers are hard.

    @magnolia305 I also try to be understanding about parents struggling in public but with all the stigma that surrounds spanking I always feel shocked when I see it in public. I would be too scared that people would be coming up to me about it (full disclosure: I have tried the spanking thing once, it was not for us as it was horribly ineffective but I understand and do not really judge people who do it)

    @JaymeMac I hope you are ok, wow that would be super scary, especially with the added worry of being pregnant

    How scary @JaymeMac!!!!  I am terrified of getting into a car accident while pregnant. Glad to hear you and your LO are ok!

    @chucksmom15 & @sabriel1 Yes it was terrifying! My mom and husband rushed to my rescue and helped me while insurance people figured everything out...my Gyno got me in for an ultrasound in less than 30 min...baby was totally fine. Was more the scare than anything else! Thanks ladies

    My oldest son been in an out of a manic state since Friday. Wtf kid. Traveling with him is always extra special. 

    My youngest puked in the car today. An hour from home. After almost 20 hours in the car since last week. Smdh.

    My wtf moment is my mil came in town today (granted she didn't know I was prego yet) and said "your looking thinner but try not to worry you can't compare yourself to your husband bc men just can maintain better"
    wtf?! I did not bring up my weight or compare myself to my husband so that was fun..
