@bumpybump mine is so bad. It's worst at night and when I wake up. I was wondering about icing it, too. I feel like I had a really aggressive pelvic exam or something. I can't take this for 3.5 more weeks.
I feel like the baby is literally going to poke a limb through my cervix at any time. Not sure if this means he's dropped a bit? Or maybe he's just getting bigger so I'm feeling it more than I would have before. Either way, it's definitely something new that started late last week. I feel like I'm having to do kegels to try and keep him in!
LO is way too high right now! I cant breath! He is sitting on my lungs, and every time he kicks its like Im getting the air knocked out of me! The only nice thing is that hes not directly on my bladder anymore. Ive also had some swelling in the vag area (I think, I havent looked but it sure feels like it). I might try to ice it a bit later to see if the swelling goes down some.

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
Breathing has been difficult the last several days. Very frustrating. I'm still able to go to the gym and workout probably only because the gym's a block away and air-conditioned (I do elliptical for cardio, and weights), but walking around outside in the heat is just getting unbearable. It exhausts me.
I have been trying to stay active, but have gone from running to running/walking and now to just brisk walking. I tried to jog a little yesterday for the first time in several weeks and I could barely make it more than 5 minutes. I think it was a combination of the baby hitting my bladder and/or cervix, but it was pretty uncomfortable. I've had the peeing sensation while running for a while, but this time it really felt like I was about to lose control of my bladder. Guess my jogging days are officially over.
yes, I also find breathing can be difficult at times esp with the summer heat. Now I have this stupid cough so at night I cough constantly and end up peeing on myself. Having to change pads & underwear all the time is annoying.
I was decently active until third trimester, but hip pain, inability to breathe and leg/ foot swelling have nixed that. I love swimming, but somehow am always too tired to make it to gym at night.
I can breathe a bit easier this week, but now lightening crotch has amped up. Been having some terrible constipation issues & gas. Heartburn/ reflux seems worse with constipation. The constant exhaustion is definitely taking its toll as well. I would kill for 8+ hours of straight sleep.
+1 for breathing being really difficult at times. I have trouble when I'm talking for long periods of time, walking up stairs, or oddly, laying bed on my left side. I have to sleep kinda propped up. I feel like it won't be long until I have to sleep in the recliner instead of our bed. Still doing the daily walks with the dog, but we have to get out of the house early in order for me to have energy for it and avoid the heat of the day. However, not breathing well wins over him being on my bladder and causing me to pee all day long. (@littlebug2010 I feel you on the trade off of bladder squashing vs. lung squashing)

@bumpybump and @southernmama15 the pelvic pain is so bad! I haven't tried ice but am curious. I'm okay most of the time when I'm still but starting to move again or especially rolling over in bed or trying to get up from lying down is the worst. I found that if I pull my legs so they are bent and then roll or try to get up it's a bit better.
@littlebug2010 the baby is super high for me too. I have to tilt myself slightly backwards otherwise I feel like I get no oxygen.
My back has been hurting a lot. I think it's from the way I'm sitting but it's also bad if I'm in the kitchen doing dishes or cooking without moving. Just standing still is more painful than putzing around.
my entire body itches! I mean EVERYWHERE! ughhh. I am waiting on the nurse-line to call me back because the internet has me freaked. I have not changed anything in my routine other than yesterday we went swimming in a salt water pool. I don't want to sound crazy or overly cautious, but it woke me up last night and i could not go back to sleep and then went away. now its back after lunch.....Hope they call me soon.
I use the Nivea shower lotion on the reg, but I have no clue why I didn't think of Benadryl!!!! OMG, thank you! Will try that tonight if I don't hear back from them today since its late.
I had a fairly low key weekend but today my right hip is killing me. It hurts to walk on that side. I'll be calling the chiropractor tomorrow for sure. It's also super out so my feet are super swollen and I just feel off. I've been chugging water all day as well. Ugh. Only 4 more weeks of this!
Ok nurse called me back. Bendryl isn't working so far. She wants me to call first thing in the morning when the office opens at 9 am to see how I did in the night. She is more than likely going to tell me to come in and get my bile acid levels checked. I am hoping for the best. Makes me so nervous. Never had this in my other two pregnancies, but the non stop itching is driving me insane.
Due to moving I went about a week without taking my iron supplements... and after a few days without taking it I could feel a difference with the old extreme afternoon lethargy kicking in. Started up with the iron again over the weekend and about 72 hours later I'm back to feeling better again! Glad to know the supplements are really helping. I now plan to stay on them after birth to help with recovery and energy levels.

Ive started to notice small patches of skin that look "dry" and darker in color. I have them mainly on my inner elbow, and by my bra/armpit area. They dont itch, but lotion/coconut oil doesnt seem to do much of anything.

Oh, the pelvic pain! Never ending pelvic pain! Also, baby's getting lower and I'm getting sciatica pain as well. What about not feeling/tingling hands? Every time I get out of bed my hands are dead.
@tova24 not at the moment. I'll put a photo of the elbow ones, in a spoiler. I am going to check with my OB on Thursday, but as of right now, it doesn't itch, and it is so fair, that I have no clue how long its even been there.

Anyone else's appetite start really increasing? Both DH and I have noticed how much more I've been eating the last couple weeks.
Yup, I snack all day long lately. Overall in pregnancy my appetite would swing from pre-pregnancy normal to ravenous, and in the last couple months I felt pretty normal. But the last week or two I'm back to ravenous.
@littlebug2010 I have those also with all three of my pregnancies. My doctor says it's the "pregnancy mask" just not on my face. They fade but when I get sun or take a hot shower you can see them really good.
Just saw the doctor on call about my itching. They think it's icp in pregnancy so started me on the medicine and waiting to hear the results in about a week. If it is weekly appointments and ultrasounds to check the baby and then talks of being induced early. Glad I went! But this itching is non-stop. They said if it really is ICP then it won't stop until he comes out. I can deal with the itching as long as he stays healthy. Really need to pay attention to my kick counts.
@jadkins2 and @JDBtwinmama Thanks! Every time I googled it came up with eczema or something else like that, and I was pretty sure it wasnt that. Should I put anything on it? They dont hurt or itch, but I didnt know if there was anything I should do. Ill be checking with my OB on Thursday anyway, but if there is something to do in the meantime.

@littlebug2010 no there is nothing you can do about them. No need to put anything on them, you might always have them though. Sun makes them worse. If that's what you really have at least.
@jadkins2 Thank you! Hoping they dont spread too much.

@JDBtwinmama I've had insomnia since the beginning of each pregnancy. I usually don't have any issues falling asleep, but I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep for hours. Then, I'm exhausted, fall asleep early and start the vicious cycle again. I do have short periods of time where I sleep a little better, but more often than not, I'm awake for a long time at night.
Yes to the insomnia. Some nights I barely sleep and feel like I'm only getting light sleep when I do. Other nights, like last night, I sleep like a rock and only get up to pee once then fall asleep quickly. Most of the time it's the former.
The first day May 2007 The yes day April 2012 The best day Nov 2013
Oh yes...and I go from being hot to cold. I have always had a really hard time falling asleep after waking up at night, so this whole baby thing is going to be fun!

Is anyone else getting like burning/painful sensation on their skin across the top of their belly? This started for me a few weeks ago but has progressively gotten worse where just touching it feels like pain from the worst sunburn ever. Potentially this is just from the skin stretching out?
@mrsjqg1024 I think thats just skin stretching. My belly itches a ton, and sometimes will start to burn. I have coconut oil that I use, as well as a stretch mark lotion. The coconut oil soothes it, but the lotion seems to stay on longer.
HOLY CHAFING! I have always had chub rub in the summer, but I dont think its ever been this bad before. Its all the way up to my bikini line, and burns! I really dont want to wear pants anymore, and even in shorts, I get so hot. I wear dresses and skirts almost every day, but the chafing is unbelievable! At this point I have no idea what to do to make it stop!

@littlebug2010 get the monistat anti chaffing gel. It's a powder gel and it works wonders! I got it last summer for trips to Florida in July and September. I put it all over the insides of my thighs when I knew I'd be walking a lot, same now. It's wonderful!
