I am SO sunburnt. Geez! I forgot the sunscreen yesterday and I'm paying for it today. Ow. I do have a concoction that made it feel a little better though. Coconut oil+lavender essential oil+aloe+calendula-infused olive oil.
I officially (temporarily) have my boss's job now that she's moved and I am pretty hostile about it. My coworkers mean well but they keep walking into my office telling me I have big shoes to fill. No kidding. The department wants to hire an internal candidate who has been with the company a year and never done this job. She has no college degree, and she's all of 25 years old. I don't want this job, but I am mad they didn't offer it to me anyways, and now I am most likely to have an idiot for a boss who doesn't understand how to manage accounts. Awesome.
@Ready4theParty ugh that sucks, Ive been there. The worst is when you have to train your boss uggghhhh
My bitchfest is that my boss is giving our shitty admin a raise just because we are hiring another person and she doesnt want to hire the new person at the same rate as shitty admin. The reason we have to hire another person is because shitty admin keeps screwing up. Sooooo because she cant do her job we are hiring another person and she is getting a raise. stupid.
I wear clear straightening aligners. I'm on my 5 month out of 6 of it. But I'm 3 weeks behind because they haven't shipped my next set, even though they charged me for them. I've worn the Month 4 week 3/4 for 4 weeks, and now they've cracked so I've actually not been wearing them for a week already which would have put me at 5 weeks if they weren't broken. Wearing them longer than necessary is usually not a problem but it'd had been 2 weeks longer than expected so they cracked. I'm just so angry with them. I've called and chatted and I've been given the run around "Oh we're so sorry for the delay it will be 7-10 days" twice and today I was not very nice with them. I've got a new FSA card because of my name change that I haven't given them yet, and if they don't get me my new set in 7-10 days, I'm canceling with them and they wont get anymore of my money.
@ryannenikole oh man that was me last week. I was super generous with the aloe and now a week later it's not red anymore and no peeling. Hopefully yours feel better soon!
My monster child is getting another tooth and is so clingy. She won't nap today and I'm losing my patience. I love her, I really do. I'm just about ready to send her to her grandparents for the rest of the day
Stupid Monkey Marco Vtech toy. I told my husband not to buy it cause it was immediately annoying. You barely touch that damn thing and it will ramble on and on for 10 minutes. Makes me want to smother him but I can't let my 14mo old learn murder techniques
My MBF is the mosquito bites I got last week. I was already annoyed that I had to out to check the problem/issue that was "highlighted" by a former employee...but to top it off, while I was out, I was essentially murdered by mosquitos. I'm allergic to them, so normally when I am bitten they swell to the size of a half dollar or bigger. Pregnant me apparently cannot handle being bitten...they're all massive like "normal" for me, but they also have dime size raised "heads" that hurt like an MF'er. Pants are not my friend today...

My BF I guess is me being selfish but here goes.... Normally on any given weekend through out the month (except 1) we get DSS from DH's ex.... well DH's ex is going "out of town" this weekend and asked if we could have DS all day Thursday and Friday (a little earlier this week so we get him Wednesday night). My DH decided to take off work Thursday and Friday without discussing with it me first (I control the money) and we had agreed we'd save our PTO (paid time off) for the twins arrival. Meanwhile I'm stuck with a 5 day week utterly exhausted. I don't know why I'm upset, I just am. Sorry, rant over from evil step mother.
@britmanering73 I'm selfish and evil step mothering this week too. We have DSS this week and I'm having to work from home with him here 3 days this week, he's such a great kid too I hate that I'm grumpy about it, but I'm bitter that I can't watch/listen to my trash shows in the background while I work, and I can't go get junk for lunch without taking him or having him tell DH. DH has been getting on me about only wanting junk food right now.
Oh and one more for good measure. DH and DSS ate my push pops last night. Why are you people stealing a pregnant woman's treats? I know. I'm super selfish this week. But like... they ate the last orange push pop.
@supercoolstephy I straight up snuck left over pizza in our master bathroom just so he couldn't ask for some (he had just eaten a HUGE breakfast) But I know what you mean. He constantly wants to play on his tablet right beside you while you're trying to read or watch tv, or he simply doesn't want to watch what I want so he whines so he can watch something he wants. Spoiled yes. I love him so much but my Lord..you need a break..
@supercoolstephy My DH has been eating my treats too! I've had multiple "talks" with him. He has an ice cream problem. Like, a serious problem. I swear he eats a gallon per night. Plus a few of DD's ice cream sandwiches. He finally started "replacing" my ice cream, but NOT WITH THE FLAVOR I WANT, and it's typically gone that next night anyway. Ugh.
@Cricket99 We have DD2s 15 month next week. I am working from home that day. Debating if I am going to keep DD with me or send her back to the ILs. She usually gets so worked up with shots she throws up.
Driving from Texas to Minnesota today in a two seat sports car. Even though I have a new suv. This was fine last summer when I wasn't pregnant with an expanding belly. But SO feels it's his last chance to drive up there in his car and he wants to show off his new modifications. Yes, he is 30. (:
I hate my boss and I hate my job.I don't know what made me accept a job offer in the mental health field of nursing last year. Was I this desperate to get out of the house?I can't wait to quit in a couple of months
My MBF is that we moved yesterday, so imagine how many things I want to complain about... and also, why is life so expensive? I just had to pay the balance for my OBGYN and we are shelling out a month's pay for carpet upstairs. I realize these are in many respects luxuries, but things cost so much... boo!
@britmanering73Honestly, I get upset anytime my plans are
unexpectedly changed and I have no say in it. So I totally get it.
@supercoolstephy So help me god if anyone takes away my
mindless Teen Mom background noise
(and don’t let that make you think I don’t tape the new ones and watch them in
silence, very focused… and I’m 34).
@missblaze Your DH sounds like my DH - bought a box of chunky chocolate Chips Ahoy cookies (SO GOOD), and he has seriously eaten the entire box.
@LemmyRN Push-pops sound amazing. I seriously have converted back into a 10 year old with my pregnancy cravings. I want capri-suns, chips ahoy, gushers, and chocolate milk.
@gulimz Eh, that is definitely one of the fields of nursing I would never go into. Sorry that your job is making you miserable. Crappy job and boss really make it suck going to work - hopefully the next few months fly by.
my MIL & FIL are buying us our cribs / dresser... while I am SUPER thankful they want to do that... they are throwing a stink about the ones WE BOTH WANT. They are the exact same prices as the ones we had previously looked at with them... If you don't want to get me what I want for my nursery... I'll buy it myself. ARG! Same thing with the swings I want... she doesn't want to spend $X on it because it is "JUST A SWING" instead she wants to get me a 4 in 1 that is $20 more BUT I DONT WANT IT... arg!
@Cricket99 We have DD2s 15 month next week. I am working from home that day. Debating if I am going to keep DD with me or send her back to the ILs. She usually gets so worked up with shots she throws up.
We didn't have any shots at 15 months thank god. DS is always less than pleased about it, but gets over it quickly... until he has a fever and is cranky the next day...
@Mudge85 My MIL is doing the same exact thing with our crib and dresser. DH actually picked out the crib he wanted (its more expensive and only available at one store), but she is trying to talk us into getting some other thing we have not actually touched/seen. So annoying.
@Mudge85 my mom and step dad did this with DS. She wanted to get us a changing table to go with the crib my gram got. She seemed cool about the price and then freaked when it came down to it, so instead just finally gave us a gift card for the amount she wanted to put towards it. Just an awkward situation to be in because she wanted to buy it so we waited...My pregnant self was a mess because this was the last thing we needed and we were getting too close for comfort to the due date.
I'm too pissed off to go into details, but I just want to say that I passionately hate insurance companies, both as a provider and as a consumer. I often consider not taking insurance as a provider because of this, but then I feel bad because it wouldn't be fair to the clients I see, and my issues with insurance is not their fault. I don't know what to do.
I just hate people in general at the moment. Specifically all but one of the people in the house. I love DS, but everyone else including our visitors (for another 3 days) are getting on my last nerve. We each do our own breakfast, because we work and they go about doing touristy stuff. However, if you use a ton of pans, plates and utensils, can you please clean up after yourselves? Every evening, everybody also leaves their stuff on the table and in the morning when I get up, I get to clean up first before I do anything else. I hate it! I clean up my stuff soon after using it, except for my glass of water, as I need it first thing in the morning. I would clean up in the evening, but unfortunately, I am tired before everyone else, so I go to bed first.
Our community pool isn't opening until July 26. Why? Because they decided to remodel it back in APRIL and they thought it would be ready by the end of MAY but I have watched enough HGTV to know it wasn't gonna be ready by May!!! I'm so annoyed because I was planning to be there every day with DD! So now it will be open from the end of July probably until Labor Day
@kathrinp you are too nice. I'm passive aggressive enough that I would just pile the dishes in front of their door for them in the morning. Not my dishes, not my problem.
@missblaze Your DH sounds like my DH - bought a box of chunky chocolate Chips Ahoy cookies (SO GOOD), and he has seriously eaten the entire box.

I seriously thought I was the only person in the world who craved gushers during pregnancy. This is baby #3 and yup. LOL. Now I buy them and hide them from my kids...
Update: my FIL just called and said he doesn't think they can afford to purchase the cribs I want.... fine don't!! But they are no more expensive then the ones they were looking to purchase! Arrrggg!!!!!
Edited because mobile stinks and only added half my post?
DH and I are on the way to a camping trip with a group of friends. A big group of us are stopped at a friend's house for the evening to break up the drive. Everyone are big drinkers. Five of us get stuck in a room with a HORRIBLE snorer. This person KNOWS they are awful with it. I've been up since 4:30 after only FINALLY getting to sleep at 2 because it was so freezing. The passed out drunks are able to sleep through his crap but this pregnant bitch was about to shank someone. If you snore... and you KNOW you snore, take your loud ass to the available couch, which is where I now am instead of cuddling my DH which is where I want to be. Ugggg I'm so pissed and TIRED!!
@madcouplewithabox - ugh! I'm SO sorry... I used to snore before I got my tonsils out (@24)and was always SOOO conscious of that!!!! YOU KNOW YOU DO IT! I hope you got some rest, finally!
@Cricket99 I wish I could, but their bedroom door is next to ours, and with an almost 4yo boy, it would be dangerous to have all the dishes on the floor in front of their room. On the bright side, they're gone now, so it's all better now LOL
Ok I know it's not Monday and this is super late to the discussion but I'm having a moment today... why do people assume because I'm pregnant that I can no longer do anything remotely fun?! I didn't magically become an invalid bc I'm carrying another human! People now just assume I won't be going to whatever it is we get invited to, if we get invited now a days! Anyone else?! Also I don't like telling people I'm pregnant now bc of this and the fact that once I do they feel like they can tell me whatever advice or about their experience!

@EmilyLove25 Definitely not looking forward to the OB bills. Yes I'm a planner. When he springs crap on me, it just throws my whole week off balance.
@missblaze My DH is the same way. He eats over half PAIL in one night and then complains when there's no ice cream left. YOU ATE IT ALL!!!
