Totally random: I went shopping today once DH got home and offered to take the kids out to play in the sprinklers so I could snag some quiet time. One walk through some of my favorite stores and I realized how happy I am to be thinking about maternity clothes rather than some of the current trends. Body suits, crop tops, and the like won't be making an appearance in my closet any time soon. Dodging the proverbial fashion bullet one pregnancy at a time.
Sorry to leave you all hanging! I was busy with DS after my appt and then fell asleep at 7:30 so I didn't get a chance to bump. I'm up now though lol. The appointment went well I think... it was just an ultrasound, not at the OB office but at a lab type place. They saw a gestational sac and yolk sac which seems to be normal for how far along I am. The tech said they will likely have me come back in a few weeks. I'm planning to call the OB tomorrow if I don't get a call from them. Thank you for the well wishes!! For now it's just waiting I suppose! This is crazy to me because I literally didn't do anything (no blood work, no ultrasound, no appt) until 12 weeks last time and no ultrasound until 18 weeks. So this is all different and kinda stressful but I'm staying positive!
I have to go to Canada's Wonderland tomorrow...all day. It's for my SO work picnic. I know my oldest will have a blast..buttttt it's going to be 30 degrees out. Lazy river, and funnel cakes all day for me I suppose!
Just heard back from my OB about my ultrasound I had on Wednesday and they are not worried about anything. I'm relieved! Just having a follow up ultrasound July 26th to confirm dating! Looking forward to seeing a glimpse of this nugget. Who else has early ultrasounds coming up?!
@scoogy19 that's great news! Each step in the right direction feels so good! If my numbers look good on Mondays beta HCG draw, I'll have a dating u/s next week. I had one with my first two, and I love the early peek at the little bean!
Yeah!! @scoogy19 Mine just got bumped up actually to Monday from a Wednesday because I switched clinics. I can't say I'm excited, just very nervous. PGAL brain.
side note: just had my fun nurse appt and found out my body isn't taking to the varicella vaccine. Who knew? So she said avoid anyone with even the slightest symptoms and try the vaccination once more after delivery. If I'm still not immune I won't be. Lets pray neither of my kids suddenly get it... learn something new every day. How did I not know this??
So I have had brown spotting pretty much since I found out about this little nugget, but today it turned to red spotting. I called my midwives and they told me not to freak out, it could all be normal. They want me to come in and get my Levels checked on Monday and then again Tuesday then for an ultrasound on Wed/thurs. I am completely terrified and am having a hard time not freaking out. Has anyone else spotted through their first triemester and had everything be ok? Don't tell me if you did and it didnt end well please, I can't handle that right now
@arhodes6 oh no, that is scary!! I don't have personal experience with that but have heard of lots of people with spotting... even red.. and it be ok. I will be praying all is ok!!!
@arhodes6 Hope it's nothing concerning. I had a friend who bled (a lot) due to an SCH, she delivered a healthy baby girl this Spring. I understand your fear. Hugs.
Thank you ladies! It's so good to hear from other moms that this is normal. I had no issues with my first so this has been pretty nerve wracking. Just an update, I am back to brown spotting. I'm hoping it stays that way! I never look forward to the weekend ending, but this week cannot come soon enough so I can make sure everything is ok!
@arhodes6 - I can't imagine how stressful the wait will be. I know a few people who had bleeding early due to an SCH. Thinking of you and FX everything looks great!
@scoogy19 - That's great news! I have an u/s Friday, and I am so nervous.
