I have PCOS and took ten months to conceive with the help of a fertility clinic. They monitor us closely during early pregnancy at my clinic, so they had me come in for my first ultrasound today at 5 weeks 6 days. The heart rate was only 83, apparently they like to see over 100, or ideally 110. My doctor said I am likely to miscarry, and even said "well at least we know you can get pregnant now" as if she'd already given up on this pregnancy and is thinking of my next cycle. I'm going back Sunday to check again and am just feeling so heartbroken and worried.
Does anyone have any experience with a slow heart rate like this, or success stories they can share?
Re: First ultrasound 5w 6d, heart rate 83 (possible tw)
ETA: And this is why a lot of doctors won't do early ultrasounds, because it 'causes a lot of anxiety when there may be no reason to worry at all.

I agree with @tosh24 that it is still really early and here's plenty of time for that heartbeat to get up there!!
