    Hi!

Im 16 weeks tomorrow and have my 16 week appointment tomorrow.

my loss was at 8 weeks, so I am far beyond it.

concerns bc I have a nasty cold and im miserable. It's better today than yesterday so im hoping even better tomorrow, but not looking forward to work on Tuesday and I'm feeling uncomfortable taking anything to treat the symptoms.

i announced a few weeks ago but I keep forgetting to call my dad's sisters. He passed away a few years ago so we haven't been as close as before with that side of the family.

im really looking forward to being done having babies so we can do more fun things with all three of the kids, like camping and Disney. And of course in the immediate future, Christmas with a new baby!

im grateful for my kids, my husband, and my little nugget growing inside me.

    2. Have you passed your loss milestone?
Yes, I've had 4 losses, the furthest along I was out of all of them was 10 weeks. My most recent loss was my last pregnancy, in April2016. It was a ruptured ectopic pregnancy resulting in internal bleeding, emergency surgery, and the loss of my left fallopian tube.

    3. Any concerns this week?
I'm concerned that I don't really feel the baby move.

    4. Any appointments last week or coming up this week?
Yes, my next appointment is this Wednesday, July 5.

    17wks today!

    2. Have you passed your loss milestone?
Just passed my last one last week. It feels surreal right now.

    3. Any concerns this week?
I have a polyp at the opening of my cervix and it causes intermittent bleeding. My OB says it's no risk to the baby and the risk of removing it outweighs the benefits. But man, it's such a head game seeing spotting.

    4. Any appointments last week or coming up this week?
We had our 16wk u/s last week and all went well.

    5. Have you announced? If not when are you planning to announce?
We did announce at 13 wks.

    6. Where is one place you look forward to sharing with LO?
Disney World. It's corny but we love about an hour away and love it so much. We have so many great family memories there and I can't wait to create more with her.

    7. Name three things you are grateful for this week
    1) Hope that this is all going to work out

  • My PGAL anxiety has been peaking and it has caused me to not check The Bump much or do anything productive to prepare for baby.  I've been okay to this point, but as week 20 gets closer (our loss milestone), I just find that my brain thinks there's a step around 20 weeks where you find out that the baby is going to die. Logically, I know that we did the genetic screening and extra scan and everything has looked great, but it doesn't always matter what is logical...  sigh.  Anyway, I'm trying to work on some baby stuff this evening to get my mind in a optimistic place.
  • @Amber_Waves I get it and I'm so sorry you're dealing with it. The fear is so intense sometimes. I swing back and forth depending on the day. Sometimes it's cautious excitement and other times it's the feeling of inevitable doom. Hope you're able to find some stuff tonight and that it'll get you a little more excited.

  • @Amber_Waves I'm sorry that you're feeling this way. Logic always seems to go out the window when it comes to PGAL anxiety. I hope you're feeling a bit better after working on the baby stuff.
  • Saw OB yesterday. I'm nearly 19 weeks now. Still no appointment for 20 week scan. Apparently March and February were long cold months here. I'm on a waiting list for it. Just lovely. They said they prefer to do between 20-22 weeks anyways. Not a lot of comfort for someone with my history though. :/
  • @thatlauragirl @blueskies17  Thanks.  On top of doing some baby prep, my husband and I talked about our grief and fears last night and I had a good cry and that seems to have helped. Just got to keep on keepin' on!

@cmillar36  I'm sorry that you don't have that scheduled yet.  Ugh.  It actually took me a while to get on the phone and schedule ours because of my anxiety about it, but I tackled that today.  Here's hoping you get that appointment scheduled soon.
  • @Amber_Waves omg I totally hear you. PGAL anxiety is so bad. I was thinking if there is any silver lining maybe it's that we will be that much more grateful for our take home babies
