This is the thread to share clothes you've been window shopping, have bought, and have been given. Please share any info you feel comfortable sharing, such as store / website / link, price, etc.

*warning: viewing may cause you to shop!*
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

@DuchessOfCambridge My sister used to manage a Carter's and she said a sale is coming up!

ETA it's now! The link is long and I put it in the Steals, Deals, and Freebies thread.

  • I am a huge Disney fan and I keep seeing the Disney Gap clothes and I'm obsessed! Luckily there isn't much gender neutral stuff so I haven't gone too crazy...yet!
  • @SweetMelissa4 I added that request up top. I had something similar in the original post that didn't go through because the page refreshed. PS can people hit the heart lovetit if they are interested in items?

  • This is the first time we've been team green and it's hard not to shop! We have about 7-10 neutral outfits and if it's a girl we have about 5-7(all newborn since we do not know gender). I'll post some pics.

BTW Has anyone found super cute 'going home' outfits or sibling sets? Nothing has caught my eye. We wanted to get a girl outfit and a boy outfit.

  • Cute clothes everyone! I am sticking with 5 basic gender neutral onesies until after baby is born. Since its hard to know how big he/she may be, just waiting.  If other people, buy clothes we will gladly accept, but otherwise just going to have to patiently wait to buy cute little outfits!
  • @dragonfly87-2 With my first I think the only outfits I bought were a few cute gender neutral sleepers, and one boy one girl option for take home outfits. Of course my husband and I were both big babies so I just opted for size 0-3 months and it worked out.
  • @DuchessOfCambridge we got the Little Peanut one too!

I so badly want to buy LO outfits but we were given sooooo many hand me downs I'm trying to restrain myself now.

  • @Perfectypo I love those! Thanks for the links.
  • I bought mostly secondhand tops and pants from eBay, Craigslist, swap.com, and local consignment shop and consignment fair TotSwap from newborn to 0 to 3 and larger sizes to make sure I wouldn't be constantly doing laundry. DS spit up constantly and ruined all of his infant clothes, buns, burp cloths, etc. Plus he needed to be swaddled so much at first it wasn't like we took him out and shows off cute outfits very often. So for this baby, it was about quantity, not necessarily cute factor. About 30 hangers worth are basics like plain pink pants and white and pink top, and then my husband splurged on a few brand name items and bought her a few dresses...at least fair deals on things she will probably only wear once or twice.
  • @jess0211 our cats name is Peanut so we talk about how we'll have two Peanuts soon, I had to get it  <3

  • @pawcall I am also a shoe snob. I own over 75 pair. DS has quite few too. DH now has quite the collection of work shoes and sneakers courtesy of me. I can see this problem continuing with my baby girl.

  • +1 to the shoe collection, although I go way more by comfort than designer. I'm nervous my already huge feet will grow and that I won't be able to wear them. I've spent years trying to find cute shoes in sizes 9-10!

  • I had to replace most of my shoes after my daughter was born. I had to go to a bigger size, even after the swelling went down. I didn't even know that was a thing.
  • I got on Pinterest to look for a coming home outfit. It was a bad decision because all the ones I loved were over $50. Which is crazy.
  • My feet didn't grow with my first 3, but I think they have this time:/

  • This thread is making me want to buy morr clothes! We have soooo many hand me downs though.  I'm currently trying to find the best way to store them all!

  • I've struggled to find things we like . We have picked up a few pieces here and there and some basics in newborn I think we'll just try and find an other weeks worth of basics and then shop after they get here . I dislike the mandatory pink and blue but should be able at least to pick a few more pieces once we meet them hope there will be a bit more variety heading to the summer . And really only need what will get us to Christmas where my family will go nuts weather we like it or not
The hard bit is nappies I might have to get a nb stash and then stock after they are born since they are really gendered prints and colour palets
We did find some gorgeous fair trade organic cotton batik harem pants we got brown with a bleach out print and a turquoise and rusty teracotta red paisley prints . Cause they were super cute . But they are about a 12 to 18m size so well have to wait .
And got a tmnt suit which is white with grey comic print .
  • Ive been given soo many hand me downs. And i have no clue what i want to dress baby in to come home. It kind of depends on what im wearing TBH. We have a photographer coming when we come home so she can capture the first photos of my stepkids meeting the baby.  I am totally controlling so i wonder if i will make all of them wear a white t shirt and then dress the baby in a white onesie and maybe navy blue sweatpants? I want him to look and feel super comfy when he comes home for the first time.
  • @ooodalollly I saw this on Pinterest and wanted it so bad but I could force myself to pay that much. All of the take home outfits in Pinterest are killing me.
