You know, the mild virus that causes a rash in kids? Kinda a big deal to get it while pregnant.
I'm currently waiting for what will be the first of several u/s. Complications from the virus can take 8-12 weeks to show in the fetus.
I am so effing pissed that I'm in this place again, with some random issue that doesn't cause an issue for most pregnancies, but can be serious. I have an u/s in a half hour and I'm terrified. Total ptsd.

Thank God one of DD1's classmate's mothers mentioned having it and the joint pain or I probably never would have realized I had it.

As of today the placenta has not yet formed, so that's a plus. Less of a pathway for the virus to get passed onto fetus.
@eighmeyf, so sorry you're also dealing with this.

Baby #4 on the way!
With my pregnancy prior to this one I had a SCH that required bi weekly u/s. That didn't end well and quite honestly, I'd be okay with never having another u/s again. So between that experience and the fact that should hydrops or other complications form there's nothing that can be done anyway, my OB and I decided to do the one I had yesterday, one around 12-13 weeks and then decide from there.
I found this while lost in a research rabbit hole, and found it slightly reassuring:

I'm so sorry you are going through this but so glad to hear yesterday checked out okay... sending prayers that there are no complications down the road.
Deleted because somehow that got on the wrong board... ugh!
