TW Tuesday 6/27

Who's being a TW in your life now?

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • @bcashaw ugh man colds are the worst!

  • @bcashaw Haha. Last night DH and I were discussing how great is is that DD is feeling better and he states that he hadn't been really sick in a long time.  Oh man. I told him that I hope that never happens because he whines too much when "sick" as it is.
  • @NYTino24 even I don't like it, I think I keep peeing myself. But, it is completely normal and to be expected.
  • Why are cold shoulder/off the shoulder dresses all the rage while I'm pregnant. Where are my cute Kate Middleton-esque maternity outfits?!
I'm not wearing them, but this is the first time my boobs would be able to handle no bra (not my style) or a strapless without having to keep pulling it up, so I kind of get it!

The style is just too trendy for me. Also I'm still fairly flat chested even though I do think my chest has grown a little bit haha, I would continue having the issue of needing a bra or needing to keep pulling it up. Sad. Looks great on everyone who can pull it off though!

  • Totally had a TW but forgot as I was reading the rest while simultaneously being kung fu'd in the bladder.

DS1 is 7.  DD is 1.  DS2 is coming in late April.

People on HGTV who are looking for a half million dollar second home who call it a fixer upper because it was renovated 5 years ago suck. My blue bathroom from 1953 HATES you.
My 1948 pink bathroom and I agree with you!

I just had to go on Zillow to remember the year my house was built. While there, it conveniently tells me:
    PROJECT
    PROJECT COST
            ADDED VALUE
    Bathroom Remodel

       $18,383
            +$9,913
Thanks Zillow, you TW. Looks like a great deal.

The person who decided you need 32 ounces of fluid in your bladder before an ultrasound is a major TW right now.
The time that I actually drank a full 32 ounces I thought I was going to die.  I peed, but didn't fully empty my bladder right before they called me back.  And the ultrasound tech was still like, "WOW, your bladder is too full.  Are you okay?"

  • The anatomy scan instructions for my place say two 8oz glasses of water 1 hour before the appointment. That I can void before starting to drink but not after.
  • They just told me I needed a full bladder for my ultrasound but not a certain amount of ounces thank goodness. Last time I tried to just pee a little bit to relieve the pressure I couldn't stop it and completely emptied my bladder. How do you ladies just pee a little bit!
  • Really crappy day at the office today. Is it fair to say all of it is TW?  I got caught in the crosswinds of competing assignments (of seemingly equal priority levels) given by several partners. Dealing not only with some serious self-confidence blows from the crotchety, old, managing partner, but (due to what I suspect was emails from him to the other attorneys here) insinuations that I acted less than professionally and did not put the expected amount of care into my work.

Yeah, not a good day. I so wish I could chalk thils reaction up to pregnancy hormones. Can I?
  • DH and the stupid password manager are the TWs. DH decided that all of my stuff needs to be better protected and I need 24 character passwords for everything, so he gets me onto this password manager that auto generates complicated passwords, then remembers them and enters them for you. I tried to get it set up for the bump and things didn't work and I got locked out of bump at 6'oo last night. I had to wait until this morning to get any help from the helpdesk ticket I submitted to be able to come back and post and junk.

On the non-TW side, the helpdesk people got me back in to the site in less than an hour, so kudos to them!

  • The girl I work with (we all just started this job yesterday) who took it upon herself to rub my belly not once, not twice but FOUR different times throughout our conversation!!! And it was more like scratching with her fingernails. Are you shitting me?? I don't know you! I just met you yesterday and you're rubbing my belly?! GTFO! I'm now not so sure I've missed the office environment!
    Ew wtf.

That's creepy! Touch her stomach back so she feels violated and maybe she will stop.
  • @kissthesky32 that is so rude and annoying! And about seltzer water!!! Mind your own buisness!

I feel like I have to be careful around certain people because they judge. My FIL told me I shouldn't drink any coffee because the caffine is really bad for baby. I do drink coffee occasionally, and I've drank it for major headaches before. Now I have to be careful around them so they don't see me drinking coffee. Thankfully they live 8 hours away so it isn't often a problem.
  • Came back to work today after 2.5 weeks off (that was a TW in itself) but I took the last 5 days for a conference that was awesome. But coming back I found out one of our clients has bedbugs! They're not allowed at work until taken care of but we don't know when it first occurred meaning we could have already gotten them in our building! I'm so skeeved out and cannot afford to bring them home with me....had I known, I wouldn't have gone back! So gross!!!!
  • McDonalds is definitely the TW today. We went through drive thru for water and fries. It took about 20 minutes in total and the fries were wayyy overcooked and the water tasted BAD. Like horrible. And my groceries were all warm by the time we got home. Sigh.
  • He who shall not be named is semi the TW, he feels bad and agrees he should have listened. He likes to throw things in the trash outside, not in a bag first. Like the first time he did poop patrol and just tossed it in, ya there's still some there. Now we have millions of dead magots, I sweat he threw a chicken carcass away into the bin. Dear husband, this is not Iraq, we do not have a burn barrel, we are in civilization now. Ewww.  At least he knows it's on him to clean it.
  • We didn't latch our bedroom door properly and our TW cat pooped on the bed :angry: im
pretty sure it's because he got confused from being at my parents place over the weekend but come on!

also autocorrect is a TW for correcting things that aren't wrong and leaving things that are not words, at least in the English language.

  • Mine is that DS threw up at camp and got his hand and face cut up from a "helper" older boy grabbing a ball from him, causing him to fall.:( The adult supervisor didn't even explain what happened when DH picked him up.
  • Cancer. Cancer is my TW today.
  • @BayCamp hugs. Cancer sucks everyday :(

  • @BayCamp throwing out support to whomever needs it. My sister had colon cancer at age 16 and it was rough, but she got lucky that they caught it fast. I lost two grandfathers to it.
