I'm sure this won't be without flame. People that jump between BMBs bc they have a due date late in the month or early in the month bug me. Chances are a lot of us will deliver in a different month but what does it matter? I had a Sept 11 EDD but delivered 4 weeks early...they didn't like me any less! Just go with you EDD for freaks sake. Flame away.
@smorzandoj both my last pregnancy and this one had/have very end of the month due dates and I felt very out of the loop on my actual month group, especially when I went two weeks over and everyone had had their babies. It was quite torturous seeing all those birth stories when there was seemingly no end in sight for me. So my pregnancy, birth, and baby's experiences were way more relevant to the next month board since his bday was on the 14th. Everyone in my family goes over, so that'll probably happen to me again, and so I'll stay firmly planted inbetween January and February

This exactly. I've had late due dates too so I do understand the experience of feeling out of the loop but people with late due dates switching to the next board actually exacerbate the problem. Because there is then a disproportionate amount of people in the group who are further along and the eople who stick around who are due at the end are actually out of the loop because others with thier late due dates focus mainly on the next month. It's easy to straddle both at first but I do notice that most end up kind of sticking to just the later month group as time goes on.
Flame away but I do stand by the fact that people who switch into the wrong due date month are part of the problem the ones left feel left out

@smorzandoj and @sabriel1 Totally agree! You never know when you are going to deliver but you might as well just go with your estimated due date and hope for the best. I was in the March 17 board and ended up giving birth in April. So I do get feeling frustrated seeing all of the women giving birth and then being one of the last ones, but at the same time it was actually kind of fun being one of the last ones. Everyone was waiting! LOL

And some people have the opposite problem! With my first I was due the beginning of Aug and she came early. Those first couple of weeks after she was born I kind of felt left out because it seemed like all the talk was still about labor and no one had their babies yet. I lurked the July board a bit but didn't "know" anyone. In the long run it all works itself out though. A year later it doesn't matter anymore.

@smorzandoj I'm sorry, I'm one of those annoying folks and I almost annoy myself doing it! It's a lot too keep up with and I'm slightly OCD so going back and forth doesn't fit the box. My EDD is Jan 31st and with DS I delivered a week late so it's been fun to be over here bc it feels like I can relate more sometimes. I do find myself more active on Jan18 since I started there. I was thinking I'd see what my dating US said and kinda go from there.
I'm still peeing on my cheapies everyday. They are getting darker! I'm obsessed.
Same! I can't help myself.

@smorzandoj, I'm with @EmmyMommy123. I'm right at the end of January and it seems like most of that board is at the beginning of the month. I haven't even had a first appointment yet and most of the board is talking about starting the second tri.
DD2 came way late, and if I'm going to go through that again I'd rather not end up 6 weeks behind the bulk of the board- it effing sucks. By the time DD2 finally decided she was ready the board was totally dead.
I personally thought it was better to start forming relationships with both boards now, rather than jump on when the post pregnancy hormones are kicking in. It never dawned on me that it'd be something someone would be butthurt over.

Lmao I'm not butt hurt over anything. I just think it's stupid.
Crap. I guess my confession is that I might jump ship even though I did an intro on this board. I haven't got an official due date yet. If you base it on LMP it's Feb but going by ovulation it should probably be March.
I know this is from last week, but I may move to March when I pops up. This sucks being so far behind everyone! I'm due 2/28
I'm due 02/27. I was in the July BMB with my son and he was born the first week of July, I was still excited for all the moms who delivered later! I'm sticking around here unless my due date gets moved back.
It makes no difference to me what groups others join. If they straddle between two months and want to be part of two boards it doesn't affect me any. *shrug* I was part a few N14 and D14 groups with my youngest, and am still somewhat active in my N14 group. D14 turned to shit and split into two groups and I bounced after problematic folks showed their asses. But all in all, I met some great mamas in both groups.

Thats fine of course...I understand, I don't think putting your screen name and due date is a big deal, but once again my own opinion.
Also, I don't think it's just the spreadsheet since I doubt seriously that it's just our February board that is horribly scared to fill in the spreadsheet, it just seems like less people are for that due date month. I haven't joined the spread sheet... But I also like it smaller, easier to start recognizing people. For me.
I got the same impression that people join after a couple of months when they're out of the danger zone, and of course there are those that still don't know they're pregnant.

Agree with all of this. I was never a spreadsheet person on my first BMB (Feb '16) either. Also, I am only 5.5 weeks, and haven't heard the heartbeat yet, so am very superstitious about getting super involved in a board.

Your name looks familiar. Some D14 moms, and other active BMB members, migrated to TCF during the mass exodus. I think a lot of those mamas moved to another forum a couple months ago after shit went down on TCF. I'd say most of D14 just moved over to FB. It was pretty dead in TB D14 within a month or so of our babies being born. I'm no longer in FB D14. The group split up early fall '16.

I totally agree with you. I am going to be extremely cautious. When I was pregnant with my son I was part of an there message board and a few months after our babies were born we discovered there had been a fake person on the board all along. She was very detailed with stories looking for advice etc...had stolen an other mamas photos and everything. It was so scary to see how sick some people could be. You can never be too careful with personal information.
Also don't really mind when people swap between groups personally- it seems a rather silly thing to be bothered by what groups others are posting in?! But to each there own.
I ate a bag of BBQ chips on DH's side of the bed this morning so I wouldn't have crumbs on my side.
