  • How far along are you? 29w4d

Why are you high-risk? short cervix, random bleeding episodes

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? I have a regular OB appt on Thursday - no tests or ultrasound.

    Any concerns/news currently?
If I make it to my appt on Thursday without any bleeding or other concerning symptoms, my OB will let me try going back to work in the office a few days next week. I only need to make it two more days and I am so excited. Being at home full time is lonely and isolating and makes me feel like I can't do my job as well. I am really looking forward to the idea of more time outside of the house and more human interaction.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
Continued cervical stability and no more bleeding.

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show?
    Law & Order SVU

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show? Mmmm. It was Downton Abbey but now that it is canceled, The Americans

  • @Rhubarb7216 I hear ya on working from home. I work from home everyday and it does wear on you after awhile. Unfortunately my office is thousands of miles away. FXed for no bleeding and a great appt this week so you can get back into the office a couple days a week.

Welcome @jena333-2. I'm sorry you have to join us here. I hope the lifestyle adjustment will be super easy and it will be smooth sailing here on out.

@devonnnmichelle I hope you have a great appt tomorrow.

    Why are you high-risk?
    HBP

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I have an OB appt tomorrow. Weekly NSTs after this appt.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Today is my birthday. One daughter has a miserable cold and stayed home today. My other daughter came home halfway through the day b/c she was not feeling well and puked on herself in the car on the way. My husband is also home sick with a cold. I have started getting a stuffy nose this evening, so I am getting sick. I am also feeling super uncomfortable lately and vomit pretty much every morning after sleeping like shit. I am looking forward to the next 4-5 nights of not sleeping b/c I cannot breathe out of my nose. I just had a cryfest b/c I am feeling really defeated at this point.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
That my blood pressure remains stable (even under all this current stress).

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show?

    I really loved Downton Abbey.
  • @BostonBaby1 yay for Downton. I still have to watch the last episode! I am saving it for a rainy day.
  • @baileylove22 Oh, I'm so sorry about everyone being sick and now you too. That just sounds miserable. I hope it passes quickly and I completely understand saving shows. I'm behing on all of my favorites always because I want to be focused on and enjoying.

    How far along are you?

    29+6

    Why are you high-risk?
    GD, pre-e with previous pregnancy

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I had my growth scan on Monday, baby girl is in the 90th%tile, weighing in at 3.5lbs, she seems to be on the long side too...  this is so stressful for me.  I personally think I just make big babies (son was 9lbs at 38w) and the MFM is leaning towards that as well, but GD people are up my butt about it which I get but how does ones A1C go from 6.4 in February to 5.5 in June, wouldn't that mean I'm doing good things?!?  So with this ultrasound if any of my meal time numbers are high I have to go on insulin for meals (already on insulin at bed time)

I'm really trying to stay positive about all this, but my son being a big baby is what saved his life when he was born (unexpected sickness resulting in emergency surgery at 2 days old and a 3 month hospital stay)

    Any concerns/news currently?
    listed above

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
BP continues to stay normal and my blood glucose numbers stop being all over the place

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show?
    Greys Anatomy

  • How far along are you?
    26 wks 5 days

    Why are you high-risk?
    Gd

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
The specialist is finally coming over tonight to go over how to use the machine and my diet.

    Any concerns/news currently?
I have had a cough for days I can't get rid of. Started my diet 2 weeks ago and it has been rough. Wondering how to survive Bbq season.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
Just to stay strong the next 3 months for a healthy happy baby.

GTKY: What's your favorite Tv show?
I have a few! Dawson's Creek, True Blood, Gilmore Girls

  • How far along are you?

     29 weeks 2 days
    Why are you high-risk?
    Placental Abruption grade 1
Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Well I spent last night in the hospital AGAIN. Had a minor bleed but the abruption did get a tiny bit bigger.  Going to the doctor and specialist tomorrow so they can evaluate it again.
    Any concerns/news currently?
The abruption getting bigger is pretty bad news but it is still considered small from my understanding. Trying to stay positive but I'm feeling really drained.
Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
No more bleeds but realistically just that it doesn't keep tearing more.
GTKY: What's your favorite TV show?
     Gilmore Girls or Friends
  • How far along are you? 26w5d

Why are you high-risk? Congenital heart defect.

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? No. I saw the cardiologist last week.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Trip to the cardiologist went as well as possible, so that was great. I'm supposed to go back at 35 weeks or so for an echo to confirm that my heart can handle labor, but he had no concerns at this time. I'm so relieved.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now? There is some serious stress at work with massive changes to our insurance plan effective 8 days after my due date. I've been praying for relief from the stress and an on time and healthy baby.

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show?
Probably Gilmore Girls for nostalgia, but I like so many shows.

Why are you high-risk? Well I had been participating here and there in this group because of being AMA etc...But now it looks like I am being refereed to see a perinatologist so I guess that makes me more official. I just failed my 3hr GD screening (yesterday) and they are having a hard time seeing one part of the kiddos heart (its beating a ok but seems to want to hide that part of the heart the last 3 ultrasounds).

Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Not yet but I am sure soon.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Not looking forward to the pokes or having to think that much about food...

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
I have my endo appt tomorrow again with a new PA :( My old one who has helped me tremendously through this pregnancy is moving to get married haha booo. I'm very untrusting of this new one - she's just started endo. I've been adjusting my insulin levels a hell of a lot longer than her and I don't know how I can... trust her to have the effective management changes. I can do it myself.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Just concerned slightly about baby's small size and decreasing size. I mean I'm glad she won't be 10 pounds. But I do want her to cook linger and be healthy.

Blood sugars have been cooperating better this past week.

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
    Healthy baby growth!

    Why are you high-risk?
Multiple MCs, bicornuate uterus, pre-eclampsia, renal glycosuria, insulin resistant

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Appointment yesterday was good. BP was high but not as high as it had been previously. I have to go back in again on Friday.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Not much. Still waiting on the results to come back from the 24 hour urinalysis. I turned it in on Saturday. How long does it take to process?

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
Still just hoping that my BP stays down and that I don't get stuck on bedrest. I would go crazy if I had to be home alone on bedrest.

  • How far along are you?

    Why are you high-risk?
    I carry an antibody.

Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
Had my normal midwife appointment on Monday.  Blood draw also for my titers and CBC.

    Any concerns/news currently?
Got the call almost immediately after I did my CBC blood draw and I now have to supplement with iron twice a day due to anemia.  I picked up a liquid form but it is causing me to become nauseous even with taking it with a meal.  Hopefully this 4 weeks goes by fast and my numbers go up.  On a good note though my titers are still undetectable which means my body is not attacking baby!  Also, turned in my two weeks worth of numbers for the GD testing and she said all looks good :)

Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now?
    Not right now.

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show?
Girls on HBO even though it ended a few months ago :( Other than that I love watching any reality shows on Bravo.

  • Not a very happy camper right now. This morning at my weekly OB appointment, my BP was going crazy and landed me in the L&D ward. My OB was expecting to keep me there all weekend, but thankfully I was able to go home around lunch time. So I am stuck on not exactly bed rest but a severely limited activity restriction. So I can go to work since I sit at a desk all day, but basically can't do anything else.

My doctor did mention steroids to speed up her growth. We will be discussing that further at my next weekly check-in.

Also got the urine results back showing a decrease in kidney function. So not only are they spilling sugar into my urine, but now my kidneys are dumping protein as well. Definitely not the news I was hoping for. I am grateful that I didn't have to spend the weekend hospitalized at least. I think this weekend is going to be my last big hurrah to get the nursery completely done (i.e. have husband finish nursery projects) and pick up the bare necessities for when our baby girl arrives in case we do have to do the emergency C-section early.
  • Sorry to hear this @JNR6510! Glad that they let you out of the hospital, but stinks you can't do much at home. Sending you good thoughts that your BP and kidneys are ok and you can keep that baby cooking longer!
  • @JNR6510 I'm sorry to hear all that, at least you get to rest at home. I got steroids a few weeks ago. They really work but I suggest you take a little Tylenol for a few days with it. My baby grew so fast I had horrible RLP and stretching it was down right painful but it was worth it to get some peace of mind.

I'm now having dreams about my glucometer, it's haunting me....  my fastings are great one day (yesterday 78) and the next crazy high (today 108). I don't get it.  I quit, I just want to cry, my pregnancy with my son was nothing like this.

I even made sure to have the same snack both days!!!

Sorry for my my rant I just don't get it

@JNR6510 FX everything works out for you and baby!
  • @adoo I'm sorry your blood sugars are being so difficult. Hopefully you can get them to level out soon!
  • @adoo I am sorry your blood sugar is crazy. This is my first week testing too. The nurse told me to drink a glass of water after every meal and snack and not sit for a few minutes after. Even if its just cleaning the house for a few. She said it could make a big difference. My numbers seem lower since also following that.
