@DeansGirl14 I would tell him to have a good time and she can join him next year. It sounds uncomfortable for you let alone baby. Plus he won't enjoy it whe. you are both uncomfortable, might want to leave early etc...
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
Yeah, I had thoughts along the same as you all regarding a newborn out in the heat and my own comfort so soon after birth. I'll have to put my foot down.
@DeansGirl14 I went to church the 3rd week after birth but because there is AC other than that i was at home if not at doc appt with baby. I was in house for several weeks because the temperature was crazy here and taking a newborn out for a few hours can be exhausting not only for baby but you also. You are technically caring for a baby and yourself at the same time. Once it cools off you could be good but sometimes just adjusting baby and self is overwhelming in my experience it took time.
so our neighbors stole our dog... we have a husky puppy almost six months old he ran off last night when we let him out DH is working on fencing our land in so we keep them on a lead or inside but not all the time. background on these neighbors: we bought this place almost three years ago, and when we walked the property to find the stakes we noticed they had their dog kennel and an old building about sixty ft on our property. DH confronted them then and they claimed "squatters rights". DH didn't feel like dealing with it then because we were starting on building our house. flash forward to now and we are fencing our entire property DH has sent them a letter and personally talked to them and told them he would even help move their things off our side. they weren't having it, now thy have our puppy in their kennel with their adult dog and DH is pissed and is on his way over there now to get our dog back.
@breanna428 that sounds like a situation I'd have called the police out for just to have a record of the incident. I'd also have a lawyer or someone more official come tell them to get their shit off your property. Things like this don't end well, it's better to start at the official capacity if the initial 'hey that's not your land talk' doesn't go well.
It's so hot here!!! i have my A/C set to 64. I'm just going to stay inside all weekend. (Took this when I was getting out of car; I always drive with my seatbelt on and do not text/Snapchat and drive. Disregard the seatbelt light )
@DeansGirl14 I am someone who constantly wants to be on the go. I remember after having my DD, I was having major issues with postpartum baby's blues and NEEDED to get out of the house for my own sanity. We had a doctor's appointment for her at 4 days old, and from there we went to Target and Chick-fil-a. I either wore her or she stayed in her car seat the entire time.
With this baby, we were talking about driving to see my parents (3-4 hour drive) around 2-3 weeks postpartum. I knew that Drive would mean a few stops, but once we got there it would be fine.
We're an active, on-the-go family and I think I tend to do WAY more than most are comfortable with...and even I wouldn't attempt a baseball game in the heat with a few weeks old baby. It would truly just be miserable for both of you!
I'm fine with going in public prettty soon after delivery, especially when I know I can babywear or carry a car seat, but it has to be air conditioned, and I have to be able to sit down and be comfortable.
I am a lot like @AdvoCyndi30 I took both babies out a lot because I can't be at home for a full day. I wore them or had them in their seats and they were fine. You will all be miserable if you take baby to a game.
