This could be an UO or a FFFC, but- I hate monogrammed stuff, especially for babies. There's no reason to have your/baby's initials or first name plastered all over blankets and clothes.
Similar to PP, and this topic came up over on TK this week- I hate "bride and groom" themed stuff and "mom's [whatever]" themed stuff (like wine glasses emblazoned with "Mommy's sippy cup"). Lame. Lame lame lame. My ex-boyfriend who I can still see on Facebook is getting married for the second time soon and his fiance posts all these pictures of her wearing their new monogram on white sweatshirts and "bride" sunglasses and crap like that. Lame.
I love monograms. I guess it's a southern thing. I actually have a silhouette cameo (vinyl cutter) that I can use to personalize things. I sell some things here and there.

I'm the worst southerner. I hate monograms. One of the reasons we don't tell the name until birth.

I'm a weird Southern combination of these two. I love monograms, but I'm picky about the style, color, size, which is one reason we're not sharing baby's name...so I can control the monogramming!
I think sweet tea is disgusting. This is practically grounds for banishment in Texas.
+1 for this. I always say the only non southern things about me is I don't like sweat tea or grits. My family doesn't even say sweet tea, it's just tea. If you want something else, you better specify.
@SouthernMama15@mrsmatt1212 guess it's just the Northerner in me voicing my opinion I knew it's more of a "Southern" thing, but not everyone falls into the category of loving it down there. But, I've seen it more and more around here.
I love sweet tea but I'll only drink my own. Most "southern style" recipes want 1 1/2- 2 cups of sugar, I only add 1/2 of a cup. I can't do super sweet tea but lightly sweetened tea is my drink of choice.
@szwill86 I know plenty of people here who don't like it. It's like that Matilda Jane stuff. Part of me is glad I'm going to just have boys because I don't have to worry about that stuff. There is sch a thing as too many ruffles. I'm Facebook friends with a "trunk keeper" and she puts her daughter in pageants and posts "ootd" pics every day. Constantly trying to get her daughter to be a brand rep for some company or another. Kid's not even 2. Jewelry and massive bows. Her favorite hashtag is nobownogo. I guess that's another UP, you don't have to dress your kid like life is a runway.
My probably not unpopular opinion is, I don't get joining in on groups like this, this late in the game. (Not that new people are unwelcome) I just don't get it.
Too many tags: -I dont understand monograming everything! It seems strange to me, but Im from the northeast, so who knows. -Sweet tea is nasty, and until recently I didnt realize that sweet tea was different from normal tea with a bit of sugar in it. - I only drink green tea, and chai tea. I dont like black tea at all!
UO: The only correct way to eat a hot dog is in a New England style bun. And the best hot dogs are red! This is what your hotdog should look like: Drink that with a good Maine Beer (like blueberry sea dog, or alagash white), and either some BBQ or Ketchup chips, and you have a perfect Maine summer lunch!

Unpopular opinion : no salt on my fries specially Mc Donalds, yesterday I wanted the fries from there and guess what they put light salt like what does no salt mean lol
@DeansGirl14 Honestly I have tried a Chicago dog, and I can admit that they are a good combo of flavors, however, I hate dill, so the pickle really makes the whole thing gross for me.
@donehue Maine dogs are traditionally only yellow mustard and chopped onion. They have to be red dogs, and grilled, as well. I like them with ketchup too, but mustard makes them so much better!

Yesss @littlebug2010 on the hotdog and Maine beer. Have you tried Smuttynose beers at all? They're brewed in NH and quite delicious. I also firmly believe that lobster rolls should only be served on a hot dog bun!
@secicc12 Lobster rolls need to be served in a butter and flat top grilled hot dog bun! And the only thing in a lobster roll should be lobster and the tiniest bit of mayo. I have had Smuttynose, and they are good as well.

@LSP87 I can say its an acquired taste, and most people who dont grow up with them, dont like them. DH doesnt like them, but he only lived in Maine after he turned 12, but for a long time, the red dog was the only hot dog I had ever had! They are super tasty, just dont eat them steamed!

+1 for not loving monogrammed stuff. It's cute for one or two things, but can be way overused. I have like 8 monogrammed bags that I got from my bridal shower. I have no use for most of them, and since they are monogrammed I can't get rid of them.
Sweet tea isn't my favorite either. Luckily in NJ it isn't super common outside of a McDonald's.
Craving hot dogs now. Chicago style or New England style... I'm not picky. They all look and sound delicious.
My UO: I absolutely loathe bacon. I can't stand the smell or taste of it. Ick!
@kristenk727 +1 to hating bacon! I actually hate how much it is used in food. It literally ruins everything!

I also hate monogrammed stuff, but that's because I hate decor that I have to read. Why does everything have words? Why is there so much vinyl lettering everywhere? I swear, if I read one more thing that says "LIVE LOVE LAUGH" it will throw me into a rage.
@SpotConlon you would die if you saw some of the stuff in my crafting group on Facebook. Everyone makes the same stuff. For father's day they all made hammers that said, "dad, you really nailed it as my father" or something similar, I wanted to hit someone everytime I saw a post about it.
I think those wubanub pacis are gross. You can't detach the paci making it impossible to sterilize. They're overpriced and I don't think they're cute. I certainly wouldn't put it in with a baby at night. DHs cousin owns a children's boutique and her baby has had one since the day he was born. One day another cousin was babysitting and it dropped on the floor of their horse barn. She rinsed it with lukewarm water and gave it back. He wasn't even 2 months old. I had to bite my tongue.
