I was super exhausted last week. I'm not on those meds though. Figure your body is working extra hard to produce eggs. That's how I rationalized it

@funkykey (covers face - lmao) no no no, sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant, I had 3 ectopic (all were with him) prior to DH and I getting married 02/17. This is my first and hopefully only marriage and we're starting it off trying to have kids with IVF, hence the phrase "starting off with a bang", while we're practically still newly weds. Being 27 & 3/4(birthday in July) I feel as if time may not be on our side if we wait a few more years to have kids.

I can see the siggys now that I am using my laptop, thanks ladies. I feel like I should read all of the comments over now just so I can to look at your signatures lol

These groups really do remind me of a sisterhood. It's so crazy how infertility makes us all connected.The encouragement we give each other and the way we cheer for one another is how all women should be and sadly it's not all the time.

That really is starting off a marriage with a bang!

Every single gift from our wedding we put towards our first home. Every thank you card I wrote was like: "We're using it to buy a home! Thank you!" Just laughing thinking if each card were like: "Thank you! We're using it for a round of IVF!" LOL. A very modern marriage, indeed!

ps. my birthday is in July too... Coming right up! Oiy!

You rarely hear a Bahamian disclosing that they went through IVF ,or any treatment for that matter, to get PG. Its usually happens where you know someone that knows someone that went through it. It's so crazy how people don't talk about it either (I understand that it's a private matter) but you just never know how your story could possibly help and be a blessing to someone else. We told our family members about it but I don't think my mom or MIL really understands what is going to happen. They only know that it is the only way for us to have kids and thank God they are supportive regardless.

My birthday is July 18, when is yours?

@JaeJayStark I was really tired but als came down with a horrid cold the week of stims so I don't know if it was from that or the cold...

@JaeJayStark Follistim and menopur didn't make me as tired as progesterone oil, but don't be discouraged with progesterone either, like in my case for example it makes me somewhat slow, but so mellow. No moodswings no anxiety, you just go by your day, nothing seems to bother you as much..plus you sleep like a baby with great colorful dreams. I also don't drink coffee anymore, so I'm sure that adds to my mellowness.

@KZ1126 its so interesting how each RE differs. Chatting with my RE today I wish I wouldve let her give me her opinion on doing one or two but I didn't waste her time as my OH will not have it any other way BUT when we did discuss it after the MC she was pretty sure that once you do PGS you really should just do 1. Yea got sucked in to southern charm too, really as I have it on in the background - some of it really is such crap yet here I am watching it.

mrsa2017 I think its GREAT that you're doing your research, I thought I was a realist BUT I always thought if IUI (turkey baster I like to call it) doesn't work theres always IVF and that works for everyone...yea not always BUT it should. Hell IUI should work and doesn't makes me so mad!! I still think you can come into this feeling good, you're ahead of the game knowing how things can go with lots of eggs or just a few like me. You're journey is coming and I know you're going to do great!! I wish I did what you're doing so I would've known I needed the help sooner then I did. OH and his olympic swimmers have directional issues apparently

AND I still screw up the abbreviations, but siggy is signatures. I put mine in a spoiler box it just takes up 1/2 the page.

JaeJayStark you're just getting started glad you have some and hoping more will join the party! As for being tired OMG I"m tired all the time and during stemming it was even worse! It hits everyone differently BUT I do think it effects some that way for sure!!!

Holls214 woohoo!!! very exciting! Wow I thought my grading was tough but I dont get yours...but sounds like you've got strong ones according to ur RE and thats what counts!!

AFM: Had my RE appt today so I was able to get my full report!! I have some fighters on my hand so hoping this is a good sign in the end. Day 5, I got the one 5AA and on day 6 I got the other 2 at 5AA woohoo!!! My lil ladies are already striving for excellence. Even my late fertilized one was still going on day 7 but I think it's a wrap on that one. So 3 are ready to go! Praying they all come back to me normal.
Finally taking the next step for FET, I kind of can't believe it's finally time. Looks like I will learn the joy of pio but hopefully not everyday if my levels are on point. We did some time of test that I requested to make sure all is good in the hood down below, its similar to a pap smear but (TMI) I am in so much pain right now OMG!! I dont know if its also the heat mixed with the friction of the day but holy geez!! I'm hoping the swelling will go down. I swear being a chic is stuff and i'm so sensitive to begin with

Lucky I'm still excited for my lil ones making it through!!
And My RE was in a good mood, I think pregnancy agrees with her and shes much friendlier to me, glad it only took so many cycles! Anyhoo I told her that I share that she tells me how old I am and she stated "no, thats not true, your ovaries are just old" thanks Doc!

thank you for just cracking me up!! And I think that miracle grow worked amazingly!! Praying they come back normal to me!! I just keep wanting to end this cycle on a high note - I kicked IVF ass, right!! This can't beat us!
HAAAAAA gonal F - so true so true. And you're right as its the stronger of the meds!! I have to say your US is spot on - see how many are coming to the party. Really hoping you have both quality and quantity in there - so far it sound like it!! You're getting soooooo close!!!
I know you're concerned with your follies but you're doing great, your right is a lil ahead and hopefully the left will catch up, they 11s are close enough so hopefully that what will suck up the gonal f this time! Have you been switching up sides with taking the meds? For me my right side was the slacker and the last few days I just put gonalf on the right and both of the other 2 on the left. I have to say I feel like your RE is being very wise with your meds - big thumbs up!! I wish you were closer to me I have a bunch of cetritide left! Oh and each cycle is different when you trigger, they see where your blood is at and if most of your eggs are on point or not. Example I had 2 or 3 cycles that I was a lil behind and I took an extra dosage of gonal F early in the day so it could do some more good before the trigger shot at night...I do believe it helped. BUT thats how they decide if you take more or not...normally I wouldve said no BUT I've experienced both and know that either or or possible.

We went away for a few days and I am catching up! @hopeful_mom that's great about 3 of 4! Apologies if I missed other updates in there! And so many other really positive posts, lots of eggs from this group!

AFM, AF finally started yesterday so I go in for a baseline ultrasound this morning and if I have no cysts I can start stims. Hard to believe my ER was just 2 weeks ago today but I told him I didn't want to waste any time with a cycle off in between like I have done the last 2 times. So, do you think the 3rd time is the charm? Ive never had any make it past morula so it's hard to keep the faith but I'm trying! Not ready to give up yet!

@SP128 I just read a post from you awhile back that you were on day 11 of stims, may I ask what protocol? Ive seen others on here posting similar...I only have gone 9 days before trigger both times, wonder if it's just my body or the protocol or my RE hmm...

@enia11 I hear you on the PIO!! I went upstairs to read the other night at 8, didn't even get the book open, slept til 7 am very soundly! I can't stay up past 930.

I am just catching up, and I had no idea the ultrasounds could see if you were GASSY!!! I've been told to press on my ovary before, I just thought that was to get the follicles moving. LOL

glad my doctor didn't say anything haha.

@Momifbysea hi lady !!!! I'm not sure what protocol but I can give you then medication I'm on. This is my first rodeo so the doses are super conservative I think.

Im day 13 today of stims. Probably one more to go.

I took estrogen pills after confirmed ovulation until a few days of stims. After 3 I think. For stims I habe gonal f and micro dose hcg. Added cetritide once lead follicle reached 14 mm.

my dose of gonal f has decreased a few times. I'm down to 150 iui. Started at 375 iui. Hcg has increased to 30 unit she from 20 units.

@Hopeful_mom your cetritide would have been awesome. I told my clinic that I would donate my hcg. They said they can't accept it. If this cycle works I'll have a ton of meds left over. What do you all do with them ? I'll keep them until I see a baby wave from the ultrasound. per usual, positive vibes with a generous sprinkle of miracle grow and thinking normie thoughts for you.

Afm. Blood work and another ultrasound. Will update later on the very exact sizes

Well AF arrived which I knew was happening from my stark white tests. I had my beta anyways b/c they still require me to. I'm actually doing better than I thought I would be! I think it's bc I've seen so much improvement in each round. So onto round #4 we go... Good luck to everyone else!! I'll be lurking hoping to see some bfps!

@Hopeful_mom that's great news lady! I hope they all come back perfect

@Momifbysea hey!! Glad AF is here and hopefully you can get the party started!! I'm glad I didn't take a cycle off as I got my first normie in the following cycle!! I will say I've been taking more vitamins in the past year just to help the cause as I'm sure you have been too. Did your RE want to change your protocol this cycle? What has it been in the paste?

This time I'm praying I dont need another cycle of IVF - lucky 7 right!! The meds do expire after a year and I would love for them to go to someone that has to pay OOP, anything to help the cause!! Can't wait for your update!! You know you're close when you have to start going every day!!!

@Aera11 I'm sad to see your update and I can unfortunately relate. But you are determined and so so strong, onto round 4, right?

@SP128 that sounds like my protocol minus the estrogen part. I do cetrotide protocol, taking follistim, Menopur, Ovidrel and Ganirelix.

So this morning's US was a bust! Several cysts so I'm benched and starting BCP tonight. Am so bummed!!! But I'll get to round 3 in 4 weeks...this will be my last IVF cycle before my 43rd birthday hits. Maybe this will be the one? I'll keep lurking here and join in on the July board when we get to that point.

@sp128 my doctor considered 16 mature, but since they definitely grow after the trigger he said anything measuring at 14 at my last US was a possibility. Sounds like you are going to have a lot by Saturday!! They look like they're all in the game!

@Hopeful_mom I was so excited when I read your post, keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

@Aera11 I am so sorry to hear that AF (or as we called her in our house "The Enemy") came.

I am keeping everything crossed that this board is full of double red lines.

AFM - I have been on clomid and I am scheuled to start injections tonight. I had my second ultrasound and blood work. My lovely cyst has decided to grow and is producing estrogen (was 104 is now 500). The Doctor called, which I said its never good when the Doc calls instead of the nurse. She has given us two options:
1) cancel this cycle and start next month
2) Start Menopur and Follistim today and have an ultra sound and blood work on Saturday to see if there is any change. I have enough meds to start and stop again without having to purchase more. For you experienced with cysts do you have any thoughts? Thank you ladies

Got the day 6 update. We have 9 total!!! All great quality they said. All are being sent off for testing tomorrow.

Bad news is I'm still recovering from ER went in and got checked by the doctor. I have moderate OHSS. Ovaries are the size of large oranges with fluid in the abdomen. Going to be a couple more days for recovery. Doctor felt bad but said at least we won't have to do another retrieval.

@Holls214 - oh no re: OHSS! FX for a speedy recovery and minimal pain - take care of yourself! That sounds awful!!!

@jcschc - ugh, cysts!!! I had a cyst after one of my clomid cycles, and when I sat out a cycle it resolved on its own. From what I've seen, they usually resolve on their own in about a cycle.

Do you still have the 4 follicles? This is a tough call. I know you have been trying/waiting for a long time, and that you're coming up against time, too. I guess the deciding factor for me would be weighing what I think is going to get me the best results.

Update - OH came home and we have decided to cancel this cycle and move forward next cycle. We have waited 11 years, whats another month in the grand scheme of things.

jcschc I started responding before I got your last update...but i'm not deleting it so you can see that I do think you made the right call!! - Tts such a hard decision, I have heard mixed reviews on people with cysts and 1/2 worked out for people and the other 1/2 it did not. I'm on the it did not list. It was in the beginning of my journey so I was in a rush to go go go and pushed through with the cycle and meds and it really wasn't a great cycle for me. However others will have success...if you dont mind starting and then stopping go for it but it will add that much more emotions to it. I went for it, I never want to wait BUT it didn't work out. I'll be your cheerleader whatever u decide

JaeJayStark the abbreviations get tricky, I agree!! I use OH for Other Half, as my partner is really not legally my DH darling husband

So sorry ur still in so much pain, sounds not cute!! I have some zings here and there but I'm on the mend. I feel bloated but AF is also on the way now so who knows whats to blame!

SP128 do you have the same tech//dr measure you each time? What your E2 at? You still perked up in one night, thats great! I would guess they're pushing you another day and maybe trigger tomorrow?? The trigger should hopefully help some of your smaller ones mature. This last cycle my smaller to measured at a 14 and 15 so I'm very excited those 2 made it in the end...now lets hope they come bac normal

Usually my clinic will assume once they get to 16 they should be mature in the end!

@Hopeful_mom No, it is not always the same tech. Different techs get different numbers of follies I feel. It's frustrating when I think that some work harder for the follies and measuring. I had the same tech the last two days and she was meh. My E2 is at 3,548 with Progesterone at 0.96. They thinking of maybe triggering tomorrow with the retrieval being on Saturday.

@Holls214 Glad you aren't too uncomfortable. FX that you will be four months preggos soon!

SP128 you're numbers look great!! I was asking about the tech as they all don't measure them all 100% the same so maybe the 14 is really a 15 and so on...they probably will trigger you tomorrow! How are you feeling? Are you feeling discomfort? You will have expectations for sure just try and relax as you are getting so close!!

@Hopeful_mom morning lady !! I feel ok. Bloated, decreased appetite. Really no appetite and decreased pee. Not as tired as last week. Everyone thinks I'll prob trigger tonight but waiting for today's bw and us results. Took a peek at my lining and it's over 9. I feel like we are watching the stock market. Tech said there has been growth since yesterday. Detailed Details to follow.

Good morning from Seattle! - and by good morning I mean it's been a terrible morning. I have been crying at work all day and luckily everyone knows my hormones are all over the place. We are all getting laid off and everyone's last day is next Friday. It's just too much right now.

CD 7 here. Started the antagonist today (cetrotide) I feel bloated and it's still so early for me. BW and US tomorrow. Do you all take notes while the tech/sonographer/nurse/doctor measures?

What cycle day(s) have you all had retrievals on? They said I have a 50% chance of having my egg hunt on CD 12.

@JaeJayStark you made me laugh. "Egg hunt ". We have been referring to it we harvesting. This is my first retrieval. This is Day 14 for me. I look at the online portal for My measurements. The tech and nurses are too vague.

What is cul de sac fluid? Mine was noted as "mild"

waiting for nurses to call to see if i trigger tonight. Will update measurements later
