I've noticed there are a bunch of newbs on here today who are not trolls like yesterday's batch, but that don't have tickers. This Ticker Po-Po needs to go take a donut break, so I thought I'd give the 2nd Tri Pros a chance to explain to the newbs why we like everyone to have a ticker.
::sips coffee and nom-nom-noms on donut...#1::
Re: Reasons we all should have tickers
Simply put, DD, this is why you need a ticker:
IDK about you, but that's one thing I wouldn't want to come across in a dark alley..
tickers can suck it.
::drops coffee and spits out donut:: Still scary, and that's a cop llama!!!
Damn it I want a donut!!!
You should have a ticker because it makes me less grouchy.
Oh, I see I spoke too soon about the non-trolls. My bad. Shoulda knocked on wood or something.
I'll take a shot....
First off, your ticker helps others answer questions you have. If you are 14 weeks you will feel things differently than someone at 24 weeks.
Secondly, you can connect with people better especially when you find out you are due on the same date. It's called community!
Thridly, it drives the rest of nuts that you haven't taken the time to show off your creativity.
Please add your ticker ASAP and if you don't know how please ask.
Thanks for flying with us on The Bump Flight 2 Tri.
Don't START!!!! WE don't want posts to randomly start disappearing again now do we?!?!?
Nicely done! Can I assume you were pointing with your hands (not one finger) and smiling nicely through that announcement?
Agreed, or we just do not answer questions from her because we do not know how far along she is.
No I was the captain of the airplane not the FA. I have more power that way!
They didn't give you an estimated one based on your LMP at your first appt?
::salutes Steffsjet:: I just didn't realize captains were this hot!
I'm ticker adverse. I might break down...one day...but I'm not ready yet. I'm scarred from the knot - countdowns to weddings, ovulation, sex - why is that necessary?? Plus - I find tickers featuring realistic fetal images incredibly disturbing. I just can't be part of that scene.
When is the last time you bled into your panties...I will give you an EDD until the 19th...
Hey, I'm not all about the fetal image tickers either. And I'm not even all about huge countdowns. But see all those posts above this one? Those are valid reasons why you should have a ticker. Unless you don't plan on posting.
lkaylee, I love you.
That is the scariest pic!
Love you too! kiss, kiss
lmao. Seriously!
(This is for memory because I'm too lazy to go back and check): Go to your main Bump page, look under pregnancy tools, click on "tickers" and follow the directions.
I'll give it a try although that's what I did a while ago, thanks!
That's not very accurate if she has irregular cycles. When I was pregnant with my DD if I went by LMP I would have been due May 13th but my EDD going by my u/s was Jul 7th, almost 2 months off.
Proud mama to a boys- 6/17/09 - a girl 2/23/11- and a boy 8/20/12
I was wondering the same thing
Can somebody help?
How come I can't see my ticker?!!
What am I doing wrong?
Isn't 17-18 weeks kinda far to noe even had some sort of EDD? When did you find out you were PG? There are lots of EDD calculators. I'm not understanding this at all. ?????
Help!
seems like you should have thought about that disturbing fetal images thing... YOU'RE HAVING A BABY! Suck it up sister, it's going to be a long 9 months.
And get a ticker. See the elephant on mine? Pretty sure thats not a fetus!
Why is that Mrs.Howdy? At least up to this point, my contents of my uterus isn't readily apparent, even when I'm naked. I'm also pretty okay w/ not knowing exactly what my intestines, liver or various other internal organs look like, so I really don't see why my wish not to look at other people's developing fetus during my lunch break would be a problem??
Anyway - relax on the ticker thing. I haven't asked any questions for which my due date would be relevant. If I do, then I say "I'm 15 weeks, due on July 3." Why is it so important to you that I do exactly what you do? Why do you need that kind of validation from an internet stranger? Seems odd to me...
