  •  Month/Cycle: T - 8 months?

    CD: 16

    WAYDTGKU: TTA

    R/R: (rave) I've been feeling well enough to able to walk with no issues and even run a bit this week. My fit bit values haven't been this high and it's exciting. I might actually win a badge or two! Haha Hopefully this is good news for weekend fun.

    CS/Q: First cycle trying to chart to get a handle on my body and it's really wonky. Partly the issue is that my bbt screwed up around cd11 or so. This cycle I'm trying to figure out the whole cm thing and it's been much harder than I would have anticipated to notice differences from day to day. Anyways, my question.... after sex, how long until cm observations are valid again and not mixed with excess semen? Is that a weird question? Seems like a weird question.

    GTKY: What is the weirdest nickname/term of endearment you've given your SO (or vice versa, they've given you)?
    We don't really have any weird ones. But both of us hate babe or bae, if that makes us weird (or just the only two sane people in a sea of weirdos).

    Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but @sapphiredays to answer your question ~24 hrs or so before I trust CM post HIO.
    And not that weird of a question. I wondered it myself before playing dr google. So I could be wrong, but general consensus from what I found was 24 hrs

    Ok--temping question.  Normally when I temp in the afternoon, it's around 97.5ish pre-O.  I really thought I O'd yesterday but this morning's temp didn't show it.   I temped just now and it was 98.26--definitely in my post O range.  If I do get high temps tomorrow morning, Do I just leave everything alone & let FF think today is O day or should I do something?

    eta: I should have played around with FF before I posted . It looks like if I add 3  high temps in the next 3 days, it gives me dotted CH for yesterday!  Whew!  I feel better now
  • @purplg8r I didn't think you could go off temperatures taken during the day? I always thought it was just the resting BBT that could really reflect O? Sorry for responding to your question with questions lol
  • @mschanandlerbong1214 oh I'd be so pissed at the NP!'  Did you say something to the dr about it?

    @GG620 definitely treat yoself!

    @looeeze that would drive me crazy!!  Can you write reviews on the guests??

    @doxiemoxie212 maybe you got my temp spike instead!!

    @vflux33 ugh!  Sorry you're going to have to go back to the dentist!!

    @notthefather how many kids do these people have??

    @elisek what do you have planned for girls night?

    @Stargazer1lily happy Friday!!
  • @kiwi2628 yay for triggering!  And I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!!

    @sapphiredays what badges on Fitbit??

    @JJMNO1616 you are definitely supposed to go by first temps of the morning.  But I read today that temps can spike 12-24 hrs after O.  So if I O'd yesterday afternoon, my temp this morning wouldn't have shown that.  I have a short LP (9-10 days) so I want to make sure I get the right O day for tracking purposes to show my dr.
  • @purplg8r I'd probably just note it in the notes section on FF - there are so many variables that can affect afternoon body temperature, so I think it's probably best not to manually adjust, etc., but noting it is wise in case you need to look back on it retrospectively.
  • @kiwi2628 GL tomorrow!!
  • @kiki75 I'm super late to your tag but I am salaried actually! I just work a job that requires me to work around people's schedule and work non stop (sarcastic...sort of) so they offer us comp time and rarely they will pay us out sometimes in comp time, which is what I got lucky with this month!
  • Month/Cycle: New here!  I introed yesterday (I'm a returner from the exodus of 2015, and then I was here for a bit a couple months ago while TTA) and we're starting our first cycle TTC

    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: temping, CM, PNV (when I remember)

    R/R: eh, today was a pretty good day - nothing to rant about, but no real raves either

    CS/Q: not yet

    GTKY: What is the weirdest nickname/term of endearment you've given your SO (or vice versa, they've given you)?  Hmm, we don't really call each other by names other than our first names.  Sometimes I say he's my Snuggleupagus, though, whenever he snuggles up to me in bed, but I don't call him that.

    @holly321 Packing/moving sucks - I feel your rant.  Good luck!

    @mschanandlerbong1214 Like PPs said, what an utter waste of an appointment.  I'm sorry that happened to you :(

    @purplg8r Temps during the day (i.e. after you've gotten up and started walking around) are worthless for BBT.  If you O'd last night and this morning's temp didn't show it, tomorrow morning's should.

  • Figured I would join this!
     Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD:12

    WAYDTGKU: sex, CM/ CP

    R/R: wine and minions date at home with my DH and DS

    CS/Q: idk what this means.....

    GTKY: What is the weirdest nickname/term of endearment you've given your SO (or vice versa, they've given you)?
    we are boring..... just babe.... nothing fun haha

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts thanks! So then follow up question.....how do people confirm/check cm if they BD every day or even every other day? Doesn't that make it really challenging to do?

    @purplg8r I'll let you know after this weekend! If it's actually able to be an active weekend...
  • edited June 2017
    @thisnthat314 cs/q = chart stalk/question, also wine + minions is a great night! My SD LOVES that movie and so do I!

    @sapphiredays uhm, that's a good question. I dunno, but if you're DTD ed or even eod do you really need to check cm?

    Lol I hear ya, I know very little about temping or opk's but maybe one of those may be a better testing method to use?

  • @elisek Thanks for the suggestion... this is my first month temping, so I didn't even think of that!

    @doxiemoxie212 Your nickname situation with YH sounds a lot like mine with MH. He basically free associates all sorts of crazy nick names for us, and the cats, and everything else. He calls me Hedgehog, which is also Hedgie, Hedge Egg, Fridge Frog, Hedge Pig (thus my SN), Piggy, etc. We also call each other variations on BB! :)

  • @sapphiredays The general rule is that any residue from semen should be out of your system after about 12 hours so it's best to check after that time.  I have been known to check mine literally right before sex with my H to make sure I get an accurate representation.  And I've even checked it at work a few times because why not!

  • @JJMNO1616 I have my yearly physical soon. I'll probably bring it up again but all my doctors know about it. They can't find a reason for it other than cysts, which birth control managed. A midwife I met with suggested clary sage oil and to start taking ibuprofen three days before expected period while TTGP.

    I still need to come back to do more responses but @vflux33 apparently sometimes when you have good follicles you can feel your ovaries doing stuff in there, and other times, you can't. :) I had a 22 on one side, a 17.8?, and a 16.5 on the other side. Plus I think one or two little ones.

    (Translation for the uninitiated: anything over 16mm is considered to have the potential to have a mature egg in it. So I had three that are considered ready. It's a good number because three eggs increases your chances but once you get to four or so, then they start talking about canceling the IUI to avoid high order multiples.)

    @kiwi2628 Good luck today! I'm fascinated that you have such a hard time injecting yourself when you're used to giving them. As much as I'm a big baby about it (and I definitely get the RE's office staff to do the trigger for me if we're triggering then) and I'm slow, I'd sooner get bamboo shoots under my nails than to ask one of my coworkers to inject me! Even if they were injection pros. But now considering them specifically..... hahahaha. Hell no!

    @SkilledSailor just passing on information that someone was kind enough to mention to me related to autoimmune diseases and TTC, NSAIDs (which ibuprofen is) are linked to lack of ovulation and miscarriage. I can't remember enough about the details of that right now off the top of my head. Obviously listen to your doctors/midwife but just wanted to mention it as something to keep in the back of your mind as a potential cause in case you notice any signs or issues.

    @kiwi2628 I totally get it. Giving needles or getting them from someone else is no bid deal. But as soon as you have to stab yourself, ugh! It's such a mind game that your brain plays on you.

    @lulu1180 thank you!

    General question: should I be responding to comments on this thread or putting them into the Saturday thread? One seems like extending an "expired" thread but the other seems like I'd be making comments without any context.
  • @sapphiredays - I genrally respond on the thread that makes the most since as long as it's not more than a day old. Otherwise, I might continue the convo via PM or on the randoms thread!

  • I took a bump break over the weekend but I wanted to come back here and say thank you to everyone. I did talk to my dr about the NP and was told she is only there to cover a vacation and will not be back because she's had so many complaints just like mine about poor bedside manner. Anyway, just wanted to say how much I appreciate the kind words from you lovely ladies.  :*
