@Hopeful_mom seriously. I wish I knew more about my body when I was younger. Best believe I would've looked into freezing the eggs.

This morning during my ultrasound, the tech asked me to press on my left ovary. I was like "not sure where that is, can you put your hand on it?" Read above about me not knowing about my body

tech saw "multiple follicles" so vague! About 5-10 per side. I think she said each side has one measuring 9 mm. The one on the right was 3 mm on monday. Tech said they measure each follicle individually when they reach 11 mm.

Ill just wait for the nurse to call...

@Hopeful_mom I just finish reading your story on another thread. My poor DH doesn't get any attention these days because I live on the boards reading lol.

@SP128 my insurance covers 50% of the cost with CVS but even with 50% off it all the meds (except endometrin) cost vastly more with CVS. That's why it's important to get prices from different pharmacies. I got all my drugs from 3 different pharmacies.

@Hopeful_mom So very sorry it was stressful for you but it sounds like all went pretty well. Do you find out today how many fertilized?

AFM I had my baseline yesterday. All went well. Meds arrive today and I start my journey as a pin cushion Friday!

mrsa2017 i wish I didn't have so many stories

My DH isn't around enough to not get attention! BUT I can tell you he's gonna block the bump from my computer real soon! (TW) "my story" was like everyone else trying so hard to conceive...I had missed IVF cycles due to circumstance and bad protocol. Imagine doing the trigger being ALL SET to go and you just can't do it cause you dont have ur OH and a sample! My Hardship truly changed after I finally got my BFP on cycle 3 with twins and then MC them this Jan with no good reason why as I had an US that morning and everything was perfect with them....heartbeats movement etc. MC are terrible and everyone goes trough them differently BUT I"l leave it that I had to rush to the ER losing so much blood and being in so much pain...it was like labor with no prize in the end as I was approaching the end of my firs trimester. So now 4 cycles later I think I'm just terrified of obviously another MC but also going through this last cycle and not having a good outcome. My journey has not been an easy one...just praying still for the best!!

SP128 you're actually off to a PERFECT start so you know...as long as all of them keep growing together you're looking great!! SO when she said press on your left...it was your left right?? You're still young enough that I do think you're going to have a good outcome!! You go back in 2 days is my guess for US and thats when they will start measuring you! keep me posted

AFM: I did get the call and 3 of the 4 fertilized, one per icisi and the other 2 regular insemination. Am I happy sure, bummed about the 4th hell yes!! You want them all to make it as when you do testing it cuts the odds down tremendously at my age

I feel more frazzled maybe as my RE said they were doing icsi on the "good looking mature ones" so I feel like that means one egg was bad?? I know i have to take the 3 and PRAY they will all make it through!! My clinic will have a report for me day 2,3 and then 5...so I shall be a basket case everyday!

yay for 3 fertilizing @hopeful_mom! I know you would've like 4 but 3 is still really good! Even though age isn't my issue, I don't produce that many either so I can totally relate to making each one count. FX for those 3

AFM, the nurse called & my two in waiting only made it to the morula stage...so I'm cranky but knew the odds of two making it to blast was hard but I hoped at least one would! The thought of this round not working & doing it all again makes me want to take a longgggggg ass nap. I'm just trying to be hopeful for the two inside me.

@Hopeful_mom Yippee. Thinking of your 3!!! 3/4 is 75%. That's not bad at all. Thanks for the boost of confidence. I can't wait to hear the reports. Yes, she put her hand on my left and that is where I pressed : )

@JaeJayStark Glad baseline went well. Here we go!!

My RE's office just called with the results. Same dosages for the next couple days, another ultrasound and more bloodwork Friday morning. Estrogen at 219 and according to the online portal each ovary has a follie measuring a little over 9 mm. I think one is like 9.16 and the other is 9.53. Both have 5-10 follicles. I asked the nurse if it is normal. She told me there is no normal and the doctor would say something if something concerned him. More waiting and seeing.

Congrats everyone on transfers & fertilization! Can't wait to join u, in a looong ass time 3ish weeks from now.

I'm not sure how you all do so many rounds! I'm on the we get 2-3 cycles & then it's adoption or no kids for us with my husband. I know he wants biological kids but I don't think I could do too many rounds of this, sticking myself with needles every night sucks. Lol my night time routine is now over an hour long with meds & massage/wrapping my arm (had lymph nodes removed so it swells without compression). I've only been doing this 5 days and I'm already pissy about it.

But today is a good day since the pathology report came back on my uterine polyps & no cancer! I know it was only a 5-10% chance of cancer but that stuff really freaks me out & I haven't been sleeping.

SP128 great update - i'm no dr or nurse but i've been through this enough that i can say you are progressing really nicely!!! Exactly where you want to be - friday will be good, lucky they gave you an extra day in between US. 75% is not a bad way to look at it but I'm 100% kind of gal

Aera11 I was really hoping you would get some frosties this cycle, I'm sorry thats not the case! Hoping it wont be necessary! I think your lil beans prefer to cook in your uterus! Are you going to POAS?

@JaeJayStark I wish I was doing a 5dt but I have to do PGS testing so I first wait and pray they make it to blasts and can be biopsied and sent for PGS testing AND then come back normal!! Thats the plan and hopefully get to transfer I think next month if all goes to plan!

@Hopeful_mom I would've been concerned if you weren't experiencing some fear. It teaches us to be cautious but also to trust. From reading your stories, if there is one thing I've learned it's that my body will do whatever it wants to do smt.

**TW**It sucks not having fallopian tubes but I am happy that they won't be another thing to worry about with me having all ectopic pregnancies previously**

When my time comes, I will not POAS. I asked DH last night if he realized we never got a positive on a hpt

Ugh me too @Hopeful_mom! DH is being way more optimistic and thinks we won't even need them, but still... I had a much better cycle this time though so mentally, I feel like I could take on another if needed. I'm wondering when I'll burn out haha, or I guess when we run out of money.

I plan to start poas Friday or Saturday to test out the trigger! I refused round 1 & was blindsided by an early AF so I did it round 2 and it helped ease the blow. Our hormones are out of whack and it's all so emotional, I just couldn't handle being hit by an early AF again.

@mrsa2017 no pcos here. Just plain old unexplained. **tw** apparently i can get pregnant, does take me awhile. Just can't stay pregnant for too long.

@Aera11 yea my money ran out 2 cycles ago so i hear ya on that!!! Its really not easy and better you have the strength to keep pn going, its the only way to be!! (TW I had one day that I said I'm never doing this again...but that came with excruciating pain and tears! I will say the day after even through the pain I was ready to go again) You've been through a lot and i'm hopefully this will be it for you! For now

I really wanted to POAS SOOO many times and was scared outta my mind to however I did the day before beta I just had to do it. There were others that were testing that day so I first waited to hear their good news before even mentioning that I tested. I still didn't believe it till I heard my beta! Lets hope the magic will happen again!

mrsa2017 its so interesting that people can still experience an etopic dring this process. It boggles my mind as I thought they are places the beans right into the place they are making a home YET I do here it happens...just another thing to freak out about!

@hopeful_mom we've had partial coverage, which is better than none but it was still expensive & tapped out mid-round 3. $252/day for just blood & u/s.... I haven't added up this last one yet but I'm sure I'll want a drink after (hopefully I won't be able to have one). after everything we've been through, poas is actually the one thing I'm not scared of. It's probably bc prior to IVF, I never had to bc AF came or that was when I got both my bfp.

@Aera11 thank you! Of course my hubby is sleeping away and I can't sleep. So nice you have had coverage! My insurance covers nothing so everything is out of pocket. They partially covered IUI's so I think that's one reason why we tried so many before IVF.

@Hopeful_mom I heard ectopic in IVF happens when the RE push the catheter too far and further up in the uterus. I would be pissed to learn that happened after going through everything.
I am rooting extra hard for you. Can't wait for that BFP and a healthy baby or babies that we all desire so much.

Question for anyone with PCOS... In terms of having the condition and stimulating our ovaries and producing an abundance of follicles, does the meds affect our PCOS besides developing OHSS?

I have had 2 cysts ruptured on me since finding out I had this and I does be so afraid of any little movement, even certain positions when doing the horizontal hokie pokie.

So i have just been reading everyone else's journey on this board since this is my first ivf cycle, and I'm trying not to over think it.
Had my ER yesterday, they got 14 out, 12 were mature, and 8 fertilized with ICSI. Apparently my dr. uses ICSI no matter what.

Is 30% really the number to go off of for what makes it to blast? (I'm 34)

@mrsa2017 I think anyone is susceptible to ectopic because there's fluid in us and the embryos will move around; my RE does a trial transfer/sounding to ensure they know where to put the catheter, all bodies are different & no doctor should ever go in blindly. Hopefully yours does a trial if you haven't done it already!

Welcome @KZ1126! 8 fertilized is a great number! My RE only does ICSI as well. Are you doing a fresh or frozen transfer?

If we only get 1 or 2 good ones they will most likely want me to do frozen.

AFM: Feeling crushed already

- Not feeling very hopeful for this cycle! Have a 4AB which that I'm happy about but 2 - 2AB so thats really not great. Hoping they will perk up tomorrow and get in the game. This is where I even get frustrated with my faith, you can't give me a few days of hope and then crush my spirits. This cycle was torture and its not getting any easier. AND the fact that the icsi one right now is thriving makes me wonder if the other 2 wouldve done better with icsi as well....even though the other icsi egg didn't even fertilize. UGH I'm so annoyed as I dont make a lot of eggs and fertilization really hasn't been our issue.

@Hopeful_mom Thanks for the positive vibes! They promised to update me every day. I feel you with the ups and downs. I'm always afraid to get my hopes up with anything, and my DH is Mr. positive about everything so I'm sure he thinks i'm a downer lol. Hoping yours come around tomorrow!

Hi ladies- we got 12 eggs today. I'm a little confused as I had like 26 total. I know a couple of those were smaller, but I was thinking we would get like 15-18. I know I shouldn't be disappointed. Procedure was pretty easy. Lounging in bed today.
@Hopeful_mom thinking positive thoughts for you! This process is rough, I'm sorry.
@mrsa2017 I didn't have any else strange happen because of the PCOS yet. Facial hair grew which is lame due to the hormones... I'm really going to take it easy because I don't want OHSS.

12 is still a great number @Holls214! Some follicles can be empty (happens to me every round). Did you do ICSI? Glad you're feeling good!!

Reading things I shouldn't be reading as it just upsets you more! I know my RE is going to laugh at me asking WHY TOO! The eggs looks great so whats the problem and if my OH is having a sperm issue that we never tested i'm gonna be furious!!
There have been many woman on this board that have PCOS and usually they get 1/2 of what they make. It has to do with having PCOS its not uncommon so try not for it to freak you out too much. Start freaking out after the fertilization report

I read your other thread and you see you're not alone!

Hi Ladies!!

Today I shall be a glimmer of HOPE!! Just got off the phone with my RE she called after my lengthy email from yesterday

I promise she was me to become preggers as much as me so she doesn't have to deal with me anymore!!

OK so today everything is still growing - even my 4th egg had late fertilization and is a cell 4 today...is it a long shot sure BUT for today all 4 of my embabies are still at it. Today is day 3 and should be between 6-10cell, Now I have 2 that are an 8, a 5 and now a 4

Today I am breathing easier. I doubt I will get an update over the weekend so its probably Monday that I will here who has made it for testing!! Really praying hard they all continue on!!

I'm sharing so much with all of you especially for the new comers so you can see just how much of a roller coaster this process is and in a day things can get better and give you hope back just like that!!! Its ALWAYS quality over quantity. I hate hearing it BUT it is true!

And I still am for you - you're really early in this game, 4 growing together is a good thing and you have time for more to catch up. This cycle for me the 3 they got on my right side didn't get in the game till maybe day 9/10 so you've got some time!!
