Cravings: Steak...(alllll the steak), Watermelon and Coconut (ice cream, popsicles, water...)
Aversions: Lunch meat. (Can you believe it? That's all I've had the past 8 weeks is heated up lunch meat with cheese rolled up) I all but lost breakfast last week biting into it at lunch.
@mslykas I swear it does get better... I also made the announcement that I am "two and through" for sure in a fit of first trimester fatigue/puking/rage. You really will find things to love in the second and even the third trimester. FX you get some respite... and also 7 weeks is sometimes the worst for people (7-11) so that's very normal!
I had posted on Sunday that I was feeling pain in my lower abdomen, and i had pretty much convinced myself it was RLP but today I peed out a kidney stone. And once that happened, my pain went away lol I'm laughing because I'm still in disbelief
@KatieEl I had my first instance of brown spotting today, briefly this morning and again tonight. Ironically I had an appt this morning and was able to tell the MD about the spotting. When she did my pap she said it didn't look concerning and sometimes it happens when the placenta takes over. I still feel nervous though because I have had cramping on and off all day. Anyway- I understand your pain because spotting this late (after no spotting) freaked me out. Hugs to you and I'm sure yours is normal too!
I'm just so unbelievably exhausted. I want to sleep all the time. Then, I'll get in bed at night and have a hard time falling asleep, or I'll wake up at 5:30 to pee and can't fall back asleep. Ugh! My nausea seems to be getting better, with the exception of foul smells. Changed DS' dirty diaper yesterday and literally threw up my breakfast in a wipe before I even got the clean diaper on him. Good times.
EmilyLove25 thank you! I swear, just hearing that it does get better helps me everyday. I told my husband that the only "baby" thing I can focus on right now is reading message boards of others dealing with morning sickness. I don't know why, but it makes me feel better knowing I'm not alone. I have to admit, I also kept telling him over and over that I was never having another child lol
9 weeks, and food aversion is still a real thing. I don't have much of a gag reflex in life, but thinking about most food just makea me feel like something is resting on it. I literally had to choke down a bit of my chicken at lunch yesterday, and would have spit it out if I hadn't been in a room full of strangers.
But no vomiting, though. So. Yay?
Tart and citrus work for me right now, and salty foods are still edible.
Otherwise, just fatigue. I hit the bed at 8pm last night and easily could have gone back to sleep when my alarm went off at 5am this morning. I even got 6 uninterrupted hours of sleep for the first time in forever.
Cramping seems to have subsided, which is nice. Constipation comes and goes.
I'm not nearly as nauseous that last couple of days as I have been (and to be honest mine hasn't been terrible anyway). Still super tired all the time and waking up for a couple of hours every night which is rough and cramps kind of come and go at night. Still mostly eating junk but hoping to turn a corner with that over the next couple of weeks!
Here is my little win.... tmi... I pooped today! and not just a small rabbit bumble one, a halfway "healthy" one. My bloat is so bad, so I am hoping that maybe this will help, even if it just a little bit!

any tips for constipation? I haven't pooped since last Wednesday (6 days ago). I've been taking colace every night and have done 2 doses of miralax to no avail...
Due to nausea, I can't up my liquid intake or eat the things that normally bring about BMs (like apples, prunes, etc).

Yesterday I was 9 weeks exactly. Am I the only one is feeling really crampy off and on?! Sometimes it almost resembles a stretching/pulling sensation. So uncomfortable.
All of my symptoms have pretty much disappeared- which of course has my PGAL brain spinning. I started the B6/Unisom combo so maybe it's just that?
I made it back to spin today after a week off. It was rough. I came home and went back to bed, though that could have been residual unisom. (My alarm goes off at 5:15 for spin.)
@averee12, I had some cramping yesterday. I'm currently assuming it's more digestive... or lack thereof... related.
Mostly have been feeling fine, hungry all the time and nauseous if I don't eat frequently enough. Just had heart palpitation (felt like heart beating extra hard for a second) which freaked me out a bit I but read is normal due to increased blood volume. Heartburn any time I eat acidic foods/eat too much or don't sit up straight for several hours after eating. Have been having trouble convincing DH the "baby bump" he sees can't actually be my uterus yet at just 9 weeks, but is just bloat.
@agalvarado I was also feeling some discomfort last night when bending/picking stuff up. Wow, a kidney stone! When you said you were feeling tender, I guess you were in rather more pain than what I was feeling. Glad your pain has resolved. I've also been having RLP when bending to the side.
So sorry to hear so many are feeling so icky! @makstew and @EmilyLove25 feel better soon! And definitely go to the hospital if you need it/hopefully before it becomes an emergency. @Eags I'm sorry your doctor isn't being so sympathetic, but they should be able to appreciate the problem with not getting enough fluids even if you're not vomiting
@labgrand2012 totally a win. I feel like celebrating every time, which is definitely weird and reminds me of potty training. I think it got worse when I want tracking my fluid intake so carefully and was probably not getting enough, and I think is getting better now that I've been more careful about it.
@averee12 I've been having cramping on and off too.
Update - Turns out because I have a retroverted uterus, it is normal for me to feel more pain on my left side than right. Also, doc think most of my pain is from constipation. So nothing wrong with baby - I just need to poop more. LOL!

@geshem yeah, I had convinced myself that this would be my last pregnancy because I felt so terrible lol but now I feel so much better! Well except for nausea that comes every day from 2pm-7pm
I was concerned cuz the nausea was subsiding recently and I still feel tired but not as fatigued as I was before... But I guess that's just the way things go heading into the 2nd trimester! Had an ultrasound today so I know baby is ok. I'm happy that I see a light at the end of the tunnel and this awful first trimester blah-ness will go away soon! Counting down the days and weeks till 2nd trimester
To those feeling terrible, I feel for you. I too was feeling absolutely miserable 24/7, but know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm gradually feeling less nauseous, it's still there in the evenings, but I'm starting to feel more like a real person (11 weeks today). Hoping you all get some relief soon!
@Eags I know exactly how you feel. with DS, I would have moments of going that long too and it was so horrific. TMI-at one point I gave myself an enema (terrible idea) because I was at the point of needing *ahem* medical intervention and was trying any last ditch efforts to avoid that. The constipation made the nausea worse, vicious cycle! What eventually worked for me was getting things moving and then keeping up with the miralax daily for awhile. Try some other remedies ASAP if you can. Small frequent sips on a homemade smoothie, other liquids or nibbles on fruits/veggies, get out for a walk, warm liquids-I think there is a lemon water drink out there. The nausea can be overwhelming and make you feel like you just can't, but going any longer may become severely painful. Ask your SO to prep the foods/drinks for you when possible so you don't have to think about it. That in itself feels like climbing a mountain. I would still continue with the miralax daily until you can go because that will restore water to the bowel which will feel much better coming out rather than pooping "rocks" when you do go. You may find that the colace won't work at this point because it's been awhile since you've gone. You may have to start treating the problem at the other end if you know what I mean-just this one time-maybe suppository? Sorry for all the info, but just trying to think of where I was at and what worked.
My current symptoms- nausea is improving however it is still present. I'm tired of actually craving food, then sitting down to eat and suddenly nauseous. This happens almost every night. I'll take it though because before I could barely function. New symptoms are creeping in. Migraine for the past two days and I'm suddenly so damn thirsty! I'm not dehydrated either, but I feel like it! Constipation is still present. Able to go every other day by keeping up with Miralax. Not ideal, but I'll take it.
I am actually feeling pretty good so far this week (10 weeks) and more like myself. Smells still bother me, the moodiness is there, but I've developed a craving for fruit and last night was the first time I've been excited about dinner in weeks. I've been using the doppler to find the HB every few days and last night I only had iffy success with it. I could hear it faintly, but the monitor wasn't picking up bpm, like it was obstructed. Of course that makes my PGAL brain freak out a little bit but I'm getting another US on Friday so that helps!
Just over ten weeks and feeling so much better. I'm hoping this stays constant. I had more energy yesterday than I've had in weeks, though I hit a wall at 9pm (which really isn't bad at all).
Like a lot of ladies. I'm feeling SO much better lately. Nausea and food aversions are pretty mild now, and my energy is slowly creeping back. I even cleaned my entire house yesterday, ran a few errands, AND cooked dinner. It's like I'm the old me again...except I fell asleep at 9:00. 11+3 today!
@eags So, DH found a YouTube video of a colonic massage that you could do yourself. You kind of just use your hands to push outline of your colon on your belly. I tried it Saturday afternoon and it totally helped. I also have been eating prunes every night and I would say stick with the Miralax. Sometimes it can take a few days to get going. Also, try getting a little stool to put next to your toilet. When you go, put your feet up on the stool. That makes it easier to go.

@madcouplewithabox@cyanope I'm with you on falling asleep at 9! Lol, I went on this trip with my sister in law (who hadn't announced to us yet) and she was sleeping early too. I told my hubby I had a hunch she is preggers and I was right! This seems to be pregnant lady bedtime
Weird symptom - my mouth has been peeling maybe? Probably 4x a week on my drive to work it feels like I have something stuck in my teeth and when I fish it out it is a white stringy substance. Looks like snot or wet skin. Anyone have any ideas? Planning to call my dentist this week to see if it's a toothpaste thing (the only possible reason I've found via Google so far).
I'm back to feeling really crappy. Threw up my lunch yesterday then skipped dinner. I have been on the verge of throwing up all morning. Currently eating some yogurt hoping it may help. I've also had a headache for a week straight. 11w3d here.
@burnsmommy27 NO! I was hoping you were turning the corner I still feel way better, but I am in no way assuming the nausea is gone for good. I remember with DD for me it wasn't until close to 13 weeks that I stopped puking. Hugs!
Thanks @EmilyLove25, I was hoping too. Either way I think I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm glad you're doing so much better. Throwing up is truly the worst.
The nausea is pretty well gone for the moment, but this week I am exhausted and uncomfortably bloated/gassy feeling. It's not helping that we suddenly got some summer weather (90's and humid) and just walking a block to the park with DS the other evening totally wiped me out.
Same, ladies. Exhaustion is back and I've been nauseated since around 11. I can normally think about food and be okay. Not now. Ugh, the look, smell, thought of it is making me sick. Prayers to all.
the last few days, I've been having some slight aches on the sides of my pelvis, like, at the joints of my legs to my torso. It doesn't really hurt at all, but it's just a weird slightly uncomfortable feeling. Sometimes, it's a bit more centralized over my abdomen/lower pelvic area. i'm assuming since it's not actually hurting, that it's just growing pains from the uterus stretching? no other symptoms like spotting or anything, so i'm more curious than worried at this point...
Anyone cold? My dog is panting up a storm and I'm over here under a blanket. It's 80 outside, 74 inside. Lower body is ok but my upper body is freezing.
Oh! And the effing round ligament pain! Every sneeze is excruciating!
