R/R: RANT: omg this allergy season is so rough. I just feel tired all the time right now. RAVE: it was a good weekend and I kind of came out of the slump I've been in and got a lot accomplished, including getting back into my healthy lunch prep routine.
CS/Q: -
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. On our honeymoon in Ireland we had sticky toffee pudding with homemade vanilla ice cream and it was so decadent and delicious with the warm toffee, rich cake, and sweet, cold ice cream mixing together. Mmmmm. One of these days I will make it at home for an anniversary or something.

@Stargazer1lily - I remember you talking about those bugs before. Is there certain weather that makes them come out more? @looeeze - Sorry I can't help with your question, but I hope your return is a short one. Good job on already getting a walk in!

R/R: feeling really stressed about a work situation right now. There is supposed to be an announcement today about the future of one of my departments. This happened 6 months ago too, and I was the only one who knew what was going on and it was horrible. I just want it all out in the open, I don't like not being honest with my employees.

GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. This is such a difficult question! I had this blueberry bread pudding a few years ago, it was SO good. I compare all other bread pudding to it; however, I don't know if I ever want to get this particular bread pudding again. I fear I may have unrealistic expectations of how good it really is.

R/R: so I quit my job in January to go back to school, and most of my classes are online so I spend a lot of time solo. I'm fine with it, I was worried I'd be lonely, but I'm not. That said, I'm starting to find social situations very anxiety producing, which is something that happened in high school (I did 3 years of independent study mixed with college classes instead of traditional school so I also spent a lot of time alone then lol). Like, it's manageable, but it's super dumb that I'm like laying in bed reliving these benign conversations questioning every word I said. Like, brain, be cool.
CS/Q: nah
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. There have been so many! This weekend DH and I split a mint chocolate chip sundae at a fancy restaurant. It was real dope. Rull rull dope.
@looeeze TW after my loss, I counted first day of bleeding as CD1 and I ovulated at the same time I typically would during a regular cycle. My OBGYN wanted me to wait two months to try again (honestly no idea why, I was like 5ish weeks, passed everything naturally with no issues) so we didn't try, but I temped to check for O.
@elisek sorry about the allergies. We've been having a rough time with them here too. And the air quality has been so awful my asthma is out of control. Also, that dessert sounds AH-MAZING!
@pebbledam sorry your body is being a PITA. Hopefully you don't have to resort to the provera and your body gets its act together.
@looeeze first let me say I'm sorry for your loss. Second, I'm no help on your question at all but maybe the TTCAL thread can help?
@Avrilmai sorry about CD2 and ugh your work situation sounds awful. Hopefully some of your stress goes down after the announcement.
@doxiemoxie212 I always get social anxiety but it's especially bad after I've been couped up alone for a few days. Basically, I know how you feel girl and it sucks.
R/R: It's. So. HOT! I'm hiding inside for the next couple days. Also, I'm starting to feel like I live in this thread and man that's depressing.
CS/Q: Even though this was a missed cycle I still haven't gotten my CH at 5DPO so I'm starting to wonder if this cycle wasn't anovulatory too. Chart in spoiler.
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. This cute little Italian restaurant in my old college town that DH and I used to have date nights at had the most amazing tiramisu I've ever had.
R/R: I'm having some serious issues getting motivated to work today after the weekend. but my rave is that I'm off tues and Wednesday. now if the rain would hold out for us so we can do fun stuff!
CS/Q: who has the magic goggles that can look inside my body and tell us if its ok to TTC this month or not? lol. anyone? anyone? bueller? damn! I have to decide in the next few days.
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. my favorite dessert is plan old icecream. I love it so. but awhile back I started making this super easy chocolate éclair 'cake' thing. its soooo good. and now my MIL has me bring it to all events. but its up there in my favorites.
@elisek I keep hearing a lot of people complain about this allergy season. I even think I'm having minor issues.. and I never usually do! hope you start feeling better soon.
@looeeze that is what I did. but -TW- i had 2. and before the losses, i was a pretty regular cd14-20 ovulator. one thing i noticed is with my first, it was spontaneous and my hcg levels dropped super fast and i ovulated about 2 weeks after that. my second loss, it was a d&c, took longer to ovulate. but when i look back at my chart, i noticed it was again 2 weeks after my hcg was finally negative. so i questioned if a cycle really started with bleeding? or if it did when all hormones were out of my body? either way, one day has to go first so i figured, may as well mark cd1 as the day it all started. this was just me and my body obviously. but its something to keep in mind if you're still following hcg at all.
@doxiemoxie212 i work from home fulltime and i find myself doing that a lot also!

@mschanandlerbong1214 your chart looks anovulatory to me - no temp rise yet. You can get positive OPKs without ovulation if they're not confirmed by a temp rise. Looks like your body has tried a couple times to ovulate, so I'd just keep peeing on sticks!
Sorry about your allergies @elisek! I used to have bad ones as a kid, but it randomly improved when I got older.
@pebbledam Yeah it sounds like Provera may be a good plan. I thought I was going to have to do that last cycle but ended up Oing on a day in the 45ish range. Are you waiting until CD 60 to call your OB?
@Avrilmai That sucks about the work thing. This happens to MH all the time. A week ago they had a closed door meeting right next to him about the future of one of his coworker friends and it put him in a real shit situation.
@doxiemoxie212 Yeah, I replay conversations all the time too. It's especially annoying when it happens when I'm trying to sleep.

WAYDTGKU: SSG Wednesday, last day of Clomid today, and IUI
R/R: I am having a crazy increase in CM and sex drive, which is supposed to be the opposite of what happens to most people on Clomid. I looked up past threads and found other people mention this before but it seems uncommon. I'll take it though! (Hopefully it means things are working but no clue). I also just made an appointment with a naturopath who was recommended to me by my acupuncturist. So I feel a little crunchier today than I did yesterday.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. I LOVE Palmiers. We called them Elephant Ears when I was a kid and there is a place near me that makes amazing ones. I'm getting at least one Wednesday after my SSG... possibly 4.
@avrilmai I'm so sorry to see you here *hugs* @elisek What did you make for lunches this week? I made salad with peppers and sausage. I'm always looking for new ideas. @pebbledam I hope this week goes by fast or your ovaries get their shit together or both. @looeeze I counted the first day as day 1 but my hcg went down very fast. I would count it as day 1 with the understanding that this cycle may not look like your normal cycle. @mrschanandlerborg1214 I agree with @doxiemoxie212 - looks anno to me.

WAYDTGKU: Wine, Ben & Jerry's, wallowing, pnvs, temping, I'll get back to all the other crap that never works soon enough
R/R: Friday marked 40 weeks since started trying, and AF showed up Saturday so that was a fun weekend. DH was really sweet though. We were supposed to go to a concert Saturday with my family but he knew that AF was due Monday so he made our excuses. Seeing my family is generally pretty stressful.
CS/Q: Has anyone had progesterone supplements shorten their LP? Mine used to be a consistent 13 days. Since starting progesterone after O it's ranged from 11-13 days.
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. We had sweet potato creme brûlée while on vacation in Savannah.
@catlady1215 That is really helpful, thank you! I hope the rain stays away so you can enjoy your time off.
@KariAnn323 Yeah I think that's what I am doing too. My last hcg count was 8, so... that's close enough to 0. I'm sorry the weekend was rough but I'm glad you have such a considerate partner.
@Avrilmai sorry for the work stress! We just had a big change at work as well. Lots of ambiguity for months, so much worry and gossip... luckily I made the cut, but six layoffs in one department was rough... im not a fan of my company either..... F corporations!! But the hours and pay work for now... best of luck through your transitions!
@looeeze so sorry for your loss. Best of luck, I hope your return is short!
@pebbledam -- at what point do you take meds to get your period going?
@mschanandlerbong1214 -- I feel you with the chart issues. My body keeps giving me positive OPKs and not temp rise so my ovaries seem to just want to hold on to my eggs. Greedy.
Month/Cycle: 2/2

WAYDTGKU: Temping it out and waiting for a rise. The signs seem to be there but my body needs to do it's job.
R/R: I have started breaking out lately but it's weird because it's at the scalp line and some are actually in my scalp. It makes brush my hair really a pain.
CS/Q: Since I have gotten positive wondfos for almost 2 weeks now should I just give up on relying on OPKs for my cycles?
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. Oh man.... too many to list!!! I am constantly trying new things out at Disney and they keep impressing me with their desserts. I last had a Chocolate Whisky Trifle there and it was A-MAY-ZING.
R/R: despite not sleeping well, I work up in a good mood. Going to meet a new OB today, hoping for the best!! ... I LOVED my old OB but we moved out of state... I may just have to move back whenever I get KU!
CS/Q:
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had.
Hmmmm.... I love dark chocolate and ice cream. Anything with these makes me happy!
@elisek sorry about your allergies. It is pretty gross out. @Stargazer1lily like mosquito bugs or do you not like bugs? I was just confused by that since I'm from Michigan. @pebbledam I can't imagine how you feel about hitting CD60. That is very frustrating and I hope your body figures it's stuff out for your sake. @looeeze I'm no expert but that's how I charted my last two. I also ovulated around the same time I normally do but that may not be the norm for everyone.
Month/Cycle: 14 (4/4, 3/3 AL)

WAYDTGKU: Stuff
R/R: Just waiting for cross hairs. I wasn't on all that much this weekend. We power washed our deck, sanded it and got it 50% stained. I'm whipped and there's still more to do.
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. This is way to hard because I love a lot of desserts. I have a sweet tooth.
@Avrilmai I'm sorry about CD2. Take care of yourself @vflux33 I'll be thinking about you all week! @garnetandgoldgrace maybe call your doctor? That seems were to get positive OPKs for 2 weeks but I'm not sure!
WAYDTGKU: Clomid 100mg days 3-7, Gonal-f 150iu day 9, Ovidrel, thyroid med, Cabergoline, IUI, acupuncture, OPKs, Chinese herbal tea, pineapple core after O, way limited alcohol, zero coffee, Pom juice, pressed, bone broth, all the tea, GDTPT, list of vitamins as long as my arm (I'm so glad I put them into a spreadsheet I can easily print when I go to a doctor. If you have more than five medications to remember, do it!)
R/R: It's been about a bazillion years since I did a WTO with the full WAYDTGKU. Last cycle was really a recovery cycle for me. As for this one, it's weird for this to theoretically be my last IUI before IVF (unless insurance insists we do a third IUI before IVF). I'm anxious for my follicle check on Friday and making sure all of the timing lines up.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. Pavlovas are the best dessert. Light and crispity meringue bottom, whipped cream, fresh berries. I also once stayed at a hotel that had passion fruit cake as part of its breakfast buffet. It was amazing. I've never been able to find a recipe that would work, though. I've been trying to find one for years.
@elisek Forgive me if this is out of bounds but just in case, be careful about what you take for your allergies so it doesn't dry up your CM too much. Or you can try to counteract it with things like green tea and EPO. I also read that grapefruit juice can help. Not sure I saw a difference but I like it so it's like a prescription for a treat.
@Stargazer1lily What kind of bugs? Biters or just annoying ones? Eeeew mosquitoes. What value to they actually add to the world? Food for spiders and bats?
@pebbledam I'm sorry about your cycle. It's so tough being stuck twiddling your thumbs waiting. Your GTKY reminds me of the key lime pie I made for Thanksgiving this year. I should make another this summer. It was stupid easy and really good.
@looeeze *TW* Others may have chimed in but yes, first day of bleeding is CD1 (with, you know, some flex based on time of day. My RE's office counts anything after 8pm as the next day. Even if you still have HCG in your system, your doctor would still count that as CD1). Do both keep your expectations low and stay on your toes this cycle. With my MMC at 9 weeks, I'm pretty sure that cycle was anovulatory. With my CP at 4.5 weeks or whatever, I O'ed four days earlier than normal. It was likely the new medication I started that cycle but it could have been that. So, cover all of your bases but approach this as a rebuilding cycle. Be gentle.
@Avrilmai FX that things work out at work. It sucks to be in that position. I hope they pick a plan, announce it, and go with it, letting people make plans.
@doxiemoxie212 I think a lot of us replay stupid conversations later and think of the ways that something could have been interpreted and wondering if they were pissed and I didn't notice. Maybe start doing more of them in public, like studying at coffee shops to spend more time around people? *TW* It's funny how many OBs just stick with the old advice about waiting. At 9 weeks, it was clear that it was an event for my body as pregnancy symptoms started going in backward order (I'd even started the not losing hair thing and then lost it all afterwards). I mean, it took a month for the HCG to leave my body. But at 5.5 weeks, I can see reminding you to have reasonable expectations but not wait two months. Ugh.
@mschanandlerbong1214 Do you have any post-o symptoms like tender breasts? I also reliably get creamy CM about 4 DPO. It doesn't look to me like you've O'ed yet. Can you tell me a little more about turning to vitex at this point?
@catlady1215 Sorry, can you catch me up on why it wouldn't be okay to TTC this cycle? It seems to me like you've waited long enough.
@SesshomaruMom Congratulations on pointing out the one thing that is better in winter. AF in the heat is the only thing that makes it worse.
@Avrilmai What did YH do?! What was the future of his coworker? Hooray for oppositeville on the Clomid. I definitely notice the reduction.
@KariAnn323 That's pretty much the opposite of how the progesterone supplements should work. IDK about mine since I haven't had a cycle on them that was a BFN so... *TW* but they did seem to lengthen mine since I got that BFP after when my normal LP would have ended. I would recommend talking to your doctor about it. Seems weird to me.
@garnetandgoldgrace As for OPKs, I'd go with whatever helps your stress level. If it's a pain to do them (wakes you up all the way when you have more time, you have to sneak them at work, etc.), I'd back it off to maybe every other day. That way you at least know when they go negative. But, if it makes you feel like you have an action item and some control, keep peeing on sticks. I'm with @mispanda a bit, though. Forgive me if there's something that would explain weidness that I've forgotten but, this seems odd. I'd give it this cycle and maybe another to see if this is a one-off or a pattern. If it's a pattern, I'd contact your doctor to at least do some initial bloodwork. If everything seems to be working along in the normal range, I believe in the 6mo/1year of trying rule. But, if something's odd, there's no use throwing more time at it waiting to hit that threshold.
@hollieileen I hope thins go well with the new OB/Gyn. It's so important to have someone who is on the same wavelength.
@mispanda Own a home, they said. It'll be fun, they said. Our yard is to a point where I'm actually considering seeing how much it would cost to get someone in to get it in shape. FFS, we still have most of a whole freaking tree down. I've chopped off limbs as I could but we're down to chainsaw stuff. It's outta control.

@kiki75 He pretended not to try to listen, and what he caught he warned his coworker about. They're/we're friends. She is one of this people who is sometimes unconcerned about things that should probably cause concern, so she didn't react badly at all. Nothing has happened yet, but a couple people were laid off almost exactly a year ago and more may be coming so maybe her (MH thinks he's safe just based on the project he is working on and since he is underpaid for what he does so not freaking out about that now--but it is a start up so you never know). She commutes like 4 hours a day so it may not end up being the end of the world for her if she's laid off. I'm sorry you had a sex drive reduction. I couldn't believe I had the opposite on that. We are almost IUI cycle buddies! I'm doing 100mg Clomid and maybe the trigger but not sure and just one CD behind you. Maybe we'll get lucky and move to a BMB together where we'll inevitably annoy everyone with our discussions on the health benefits of bone broth (which I'm starting today even though it's way too fucking hot for that shit).
@kiki75 ---TWs--- its my thyroid levels. after the first loss, they were really low. my endo wasn't concerned. I got pregnant again pretty fast during a really weird screwy cycle. but lost that one also (chromosome problems per testing). I've always wondered if my extra low thyroid levels messed with my cycle.. which then messed with the quality of my egg (obviously, I have no medical background to back that up lol). But I got my thyroid checked a few weeks ago and its extra low again. again, my endo isn't concerned (she'd rather it be low then high for TTC), but I'm all in my head and worried that IF by some magical chance it worked right away, that I'd be doomed and I'd be back on the bench for a longer time after another loss.

@kiki75 no tender breasts and OPKs are back to negative. And vitex was suggested to me by a midwife friend of mine to see if it would help my cycle regulate.

@kiki75 - I appreciate the CM concerns! I haven't taken anything for the allergies since starting TTC. Usually mine are not too bad, but right now everyone in my city is feeling it. That pavlova looks amazing nomnomnom!
@mispanda - way to go on all the deck work, that is awesome. hope the rest of the project goes quickly
@garnetandgoldgrace - ugh that is so frustrating with the OPKs. I probably wouldn't trust them at this point. I really hope your body finally pulls the trigger on O soon.
@kariann323 - I just made our usual lunches, mexican rice bowl with chicken, rice, black beans, corn, red onions and salsa. Sometimes we mix it up with a teryaki bowl or something. your salad sounds delish! I'm so sorry about the 40 week mark, YH sounds very kind.
@vflux33 - bring on the crunch! glad you've got a treat lined up already for wednesday!
@catlady1215 - thanks, this is definitely one of the worst allergy seasons I've experienced. I don't have ute goggles, but I hope you get a good feeling of peace about your decision for this month
@mschanandlerbong1214 - I'm so sorry you're stuck over here. I agree with other posters, it doesn't look like you've O'd yet
@doxiemoxie212 - I'm sorry you're struggling with anxiety right now. Something that has worked for me in the past with social anxiety is spending some time at the local public library or a coffee shop to be out but not having to interact too much.
@avrilmai - sorry for CD2 I hope it isn't too bad at work for you today.
@looeeze - I usually do 8 total for the week, 4 each for DH and me. Usually we have leftovers or DH has free lunch at work for the 5th day. I definitely wouldn't have the patience to do it more than once a week. Hope you get some clarity about your charting and I'm sorry for your loss.

WAYDTGKU: temping, charting, using ovulation tests
R/R: did a charcoal clay mask last night and applied a bemlemish clearing oil mixture. My skin looks so good and clear today! Yay! Tthink that will be a weekly routine now.
CS/Q: So I'm not sure I'm doing this right but on the 28th and 29th I tested positive on the home ovulation test. FF said I was ovulating Mon the 29th. It said ovulation detected. Then like Tuesday of the following week it said just kidding you ovulated on the 31st and changed the ovulation day. My first temp was taken on the 28th and was considerably lower than what its been since I ovulated whatever day that may have been. I think FF is wrong about the date because looking at my first temp and the ovulation tests being positive. But i dont have much history yet and so I don't know.
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had? So many to choose from! Maybe the first churro I ever had at Disneyland when I was a kid.
CS/Q:. My chart looks crazy, pretty sure I am wasting my time. Not sure if it is poor sleep, sickness or what.
GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had. There used to be a fantastic bakery close to my house. Everything was delicious, and I would get a fancy desert there almost weekly. I specifically am remembering their chocolate mousse cake and a pistachio cake.
@holly321 Glad I'm not alone! Pretty sure i's not psychological for me, but I could see how that may be it for others. I was seriously expecting to be hating the idea of HIO right now, so it has taken me by surprise.
@multifariousmermaid I think you likely O'd on CD 17 based on OPK and temp, but in the future, try to start taking your temp before your period ends. There isn't a lot of data to determine when you O'd based on temps. Also, try to track CM as an additional data point - for instance, if you have EWCM and a positive OPK, chances are good that if your temp says you O'd, you definitely O'd (as opposed to screwing up temping, etc.). I think either way it's probably fair for you to move over to TWW!

R/R: Just got back from a day with my cousins and aunt. It
was a good day! Also, weird thing… I took my temp this morning and the first
two times I tried it, it said I had a 101 fever. Then I got up, went to the bathroom
and did it again while on the toilet and it was normal. I didn’t wake up
feeling hot or anything so that was a bit weird.
CS/Q: I want to get my thyroid levels checked but not just
the normal TSH, T3, and T4 because those have come back normal the last 2 times
I’ve had it checked. Has anyone gotten the other 3 checked? If so, do you have

you get at really nice restaurants.

@kariann323 – so sorry for your rough weekend. Many hugs to
you.
@garnetandgoldgrace – AH sorry about the horrible acne. I
have been getting back-acne ever since getting off BCP and it sux. FX both of
ours clears up soon.
@hollieileen – I hope your OB appointment went well today!
@mispanda – wow productive weekend… can you send some of
that productivity motivation my way?
@kiki75 – I have all my things crossed for you this cycle!
Your dessert looks scrumptious
@ksmcclary – yay for your garden! And hi! I am also in
Dayton. Where is this place you speak of? Is it a nice restaurant? My dad is a
restaurant snob so I’ve been trying to find a nice restaurant to take him to
(besides Pine Club) when he comes into town.
@purplg8r – awesome job on the running for such a great
cause!
@multifariousmermaid – looks like you should be in TWW? I
have a charcoal mask that I keep meaning to use. Maybe I should do that
tomorrow.
@holly321 – sorry about your job but wine definitely makes
everything better.
@charlestonchew – sorry about your sore throat. I also feel
the same way about keeping up unless I’m one of the first people to post.

my favorite dessert is plan old icecream.

GTKY: Tell me about the best dessert you've ever had.
My grandma makes a mean skillet apple pie.
Wow, super late check in…
Month/Cycle: 4/5
CD: 8
WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV, CM/CP, HIO as much as possible
R/R: Just got back from a day with my cousins and aunt. It was a good day! Also, weird thing… I took my temp this morning and the first two times I tried it, it said I had a 101 fever. Then I got up, went to the bathroom and did it again while on the toilet and it was normal. I didn’t wake up feeling hot or anything so that was a bit weird.
CS/Q: I want to get my thyroid levels checked but not just the normal TSH, T3, and T4 because those have come back normal the last 2 times I’ve had it checked. Has anyone gotten the other 3 checked? If so, do you have to see a specialist or can the GP/GYNO do that for you?
GTKY: I only get to choose one dessert? LOL I really can’t think of one that has been better than another but I love the chocolate cake you get at really nice restaurants.
@elisek – sorry about the allergies, I hope you feel better soon!
@stargazer1lily – the bugs are the worst party about summer!
@pebbledam – sorry you may need to get some provera. FX your body gets it’s act together in the next week.

@avrilmai – sorry about the stress at work. I hope things get better soon!
@doxiemoxie212 – I work from home and feel the same way! I don’t get too lonely but then I get anxious when I leave the house now.
@mschanandlerbong1214 – sorry about the possible anovulary cycle. I’m still new to temping so I can’t give you any advice about your chart but FX that something happens soon!
@catlady1215 – have you checked Sharper Images for the goggles? LOL GL making your decision!
@sesshomarumom – sorry about AF and the heat. It’s hot here too.
@vlux33 – yay for CM and sex drive! Take advantage of that girl!
@kariann323 – so sorry for your rough weekend. Many hugs to you.
@garnetandgoldgrace – AH sorry about the horrible acne. I have been getting back-acne ever since getting off BCP and it sux. FX both of ours clears up soon.

@ksmcclary – yay for your garden! And hi! I am also in Dayton. Where is this place you speak of? Is it a nice restaurant? My dad is a restaurant snob so I’ve been trying to find a nice restaurant to take him to (besides Pine Club) when he comes into town.
@purplg8r – awesome job on the running for such a great cause!
@multifariousmermaid – looks like you should be in TWW? I have a charcoal mask that I keep meaning to use. Maybe I should do that tomorrow.
@holly321 – sorry about your job but wine definitely makes everything better.
@charlestonchew – sorry about your sore throat. I also feel the same way about keeping up unless I’m one of the first people to post.
