Welp, the test results from the student came in today. It's positive for mumps. The health department has notified everyone. I spoke to a disease investigator and RN over at the health department. She does not think there is any significant risk posed to my daughter currently. She recommends that when I next see my OBGYN to ask them to do a titer test on me to make sure I still have antibodies from my vaccination way back in the day. But at this point, there is not really anything anyone can do. Either we're all going to get sick, or not...we just have to wait it out.

@Shanski70 That's awful! So sorry you and your daughter have to go through this. And so much anger at that student (and/or the student's parents. Can't remember what level you teach) if they decided not to get vaccinated. I can't believe they'd be willing to put your entire class and all the students' families at risk!
Putting myself on "bedrest" for the rest of the day I think. I'm 9w5d and I have had a couple instances of brown or pink discharge that happen once and go away after that. The last two days have been particularly stressful and I've been on my feet a lot helping move our belongings from our old camper to our new one. I'm feeling a little achy and then the tan discharge has been back for an hour or so. I have another US scheduled for Friday...can't come quick enough! (If it turns pink or persists through the night I'll call my OB, obviously)
