  • I am basically living off of:

    1. Honey Bunches of Oats cereal

    2. Berries and pineapple

    3. PB&J sandwiches

    4. Oatmeal

    The other night I told DH that I really wanted German food. He's home tonight, so he's making wiener schnitzel and spaetzle. I don't even know if I'll be able to eat it.

    I'm not super nauseous and throwing up, I just feel like I'm coming down with the flu and nothing sounds good right now.

    Oh, and that gif I posted above made me gag after I hit post.

  • I ate rice cakes with nutella on them for breakfast. Should have stuck to peanut butter as usual- nutella has 21g of sugar (!!!). Sorry doctor, so much for obeying the limit your sugars rule. Sigh. And someone from work brought this super tasty layered pudding dessert and I couldn't say no so I broke the rules yesterday too. 
  • I had a chicken biscuit for breakfast again this morning. I don't even care that it's not healthy, it was so good and didn't make me gag so winner winner. I've been eating PB&J sandwiches, grapes, and a clementine for lunch every day and I think after this week I'm going to need to switch it up. They still taste fine but I'm just getting tired of them. Dinners are still whatever doesn't sound terrible. A couple of nights ago it was ramen and last night we went out for sushi but one of the rolls we ordered made me want to puke and did not settle well later either.
  • I just ate avocado and egg on toast and it was the best afternoon snack I have had in weeks. Yummy.
  • @Cricket99 That was my breakfast for most of my pregnancy with DD! I need to get back into that.

    @Cricket99 YUM!! Now I need one immediately!

    I still haven't had any MS (I'm only 6+1). With DS it was so horrible so I'm taking advantage and eating alllll the food!
    Yesterday I bought ingredients for several different breakfast smoothies. I really want to watch my weight better this time! 
  • Toast or toast with pb and honey, pasta here and there, morning star faux chicken pattys w/ ranch, or soup all helps with nausea depending on my preference at the time. Otherwise I'm eating our regular type of foods. 

    Some of my daughter's baby food makes me want to gag though. The smell turns my stomach. 
  • I was hungry for summer produce yesterday! Picked up some from the local farmer and made an awesome caprese salad snack yesterday. DS loved it too. We also bought half of a tart cherry pie which was so yum. I felt so so great yesterday. Hoping more good days are on the horizon.

    Breakfast has been cream of wheat with berries lately. I haven't had it in years but it is a comforting childhood food. Then second breakfast is bacon and scrambled eggs with coconut oil!
  • I'm trying to eat more protein so I've been doing fried eggs on toast for breakfast this week, but today I decided to make a smoothie instead, which I have done approximately twice before in my life. It tasted good (plain greek yogurt, strawberries, honey, and PB2 powder) but I have spent half the morning feeling gross bc I basically drank a giant glass of yogurt for breakfast.

  • Grapes have been my number one snack this week...can't get enough! Not sure what I would eat if this was a winter pregnancy, fresh produce just sounds all around amazing right now!!
  • Cheerios, rice/beans, strawberries & blueberries
  • I have crockpot chili mac simmering on the counter. It smells delicious!
  • I'm doing yogurt with fruit mixed it. It is so good! 

    @missblaze our town is having Germanfest this week! All the German food, although I'm not really a fan 
  • @jjvanwagner25 DH is half German and he makes the best German food! I must admit that German cuisine definitely has some dishes that I am not into, but I love wiener schnitzel!

  • I am a snacker, I keep a stash of oatmeal, chocolate pudding, fruit snakcs, crackers and applesauce in my desk. I keep cottage cheese in the fridge and then I have my random wants that I have DH pick up for me on his way back from school, today was a Wawa everything bagel with extra cream cheese yummmmmmmm Sometimes I cant take dinner so its PB&J's a lot of nights. Also for some reason I am not liking hot food, as in temperature hot, I love spicy, but the other night I was eating veggie lo mein and I could barely choke it down while it was hot. an hour later I went to try it again, cold, and it was delicious!

  • I've been having to eat a 2nd dinner around 9 or 10pm because I start feeling sick at that point. It's not a full dinner, usually PB&J. I can't wait for this to pass.

  • @missblaze Im jealous of the fact that you can stay up till 10 pm hahaha I was super tired in the beginning, then I had insomnia and now Im taking Diclegis which knocks me out! So hard to wake up in the morning now :/

  • @livingoffpbjs It's literally right before I go to sleep. I start getting super tired before that, but I try and stay up until 10 and read a little bit.

  • Mini-rant: this pregnant person is so confused about what to eat. With my daughter I had terrible food aversions and lost 10 pounds in the first tri (not super skinny, but not overweight either). With this pregnancy it's the opposite - if I don't eat once an hour I get terrible nausea, and I don't want to gain 15 lbs in these first few weeks. I started keeping track of food/calories about a week ago to keep things under control, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how many calories I should be eating at this stage. I just want someone to give me a healthy number and I'll stick to it!! And of course I forgot to ask in my appt today because I'm an idiot.

  • @muchwanted During pregnancy it's recommended that you eat only 300 calories more per day on average than when not pregnant. However, I'm like you and I need to eat much more often at this point. It should even out in a few weeks.

  • @missblaze, thank you,  I had found that, too. Unfortunately I've also found others that significantly differ. But maybe I should just aim somewhere in the middle. :-/ I don't usually count calories, and never did with my prior pregnancy, but right now my body wants to eat ALL THE CARBOHYDRATES ALL THE TIME and that's probably not a good idea.  :D:D:D

  • I've cooked a healthy meal every night this week and I have HATED them all. I had to force myself to eat every single one. I just want chicken nuggets and french fries. I may give in to that craving today... 
  • @cyanope is your husband still being a health freak?!
  • @cyanope I almost never get chicken nuggets but now I might have to stop on my way home...or get my husband to.
  • Those nuggets look amazing! One of my biggest cravings with DD was wendys spicy chicken nuggets but they've since gotten rid of them. I don't know where I'm going to get my nug fix now!
  • @cyanope ugh that probably made the whole place smell like fish! Enjoy those nuggets.

  • Get the nuggets, ladies. They were everything I could have hoped for.

  • I went to cook dinner and the meat went bad, so cue nausea. We ordered pho, it was great but I can't shake the meat smell.

  • Lots of eggs, avacados, lentils, bananas, and pumpkin seeds for all the baby-vitamin goodness but I crave toasty bread and butter all the time!
