ZOMG HOW DO YOU LIVE LIKE THAT?! I NEED TO PUT MY HAIR UP EVERY NIGHT OR ELSE IT WILL ATTACK ME IN MY SLEEP!
What??? How do you sleep with your hair up?? It must be right on top of your head right or there'd be a hard lump when you lie down. I would have such a horrible headache in the morning if I tried that ish, I think my scalp is just way too sensitive and it hates hairties.
Plus having my hair up breaks my hair, and I end up with super attractive little frizzies around my face. Not cute.
I WEAR MY HAIR ON TOP OF MY HEAD LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!
so
TMI my nipples are out of control hard/long it is disgusting and they
are super sensitive. i woke up to DD2 in the bed...no idea how she got
there. but whatever, i am traumatized bc she was freaking playing with
my nipples!!! kjhadfjhaeas!!!
@migdala knock it off! I'm not winning my move-to-CO battle at current time and its depressing having reminders of the perks of dry climate. So stop. Kthanks
@carries2018 no idea if it's true, but sometime in my teen years I was told that you shouldn't sleep with your hair up, something about restricting it, etc., idk. But it's burned in my mind, so I never do it. FWIW, I never really put my hair up (unless I'm at the beach or pool) so I don't usually have to deal with kinks.
I don't workout, so my hair doesn't get too greasy for at least a few days. I'm on a 3 day rotation (wash it on day 1, then not for 2 days). On the non-washing days, I either re-curl it, or if it's really jacked up, I'll get it a little wet and then apply my curl enhancing product for a beach wave look. I am way too lazy to wash, dry, and flat iron/curl my hair every day. I can't just go out the door after blow drying, because my hair is way too thick and frizzy for that ish.
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
when i was younger old people told me the following:
if you cross your eyes they will get stuck like that
If you don't eat your crust you will get curly hair.
i still follow these rules bc even though i know they are not true, i still think that just *maybe* they are. and ironically i would love curly hair, but i am like nope! gotta eat all my crust!
When I was younger I read an article that your boobs can develop until you hit 25. All through my teen years, I held out hope. I'm about to be 30 and still have no boobs. My mom also told me hers got bigger with pregnancy and then stayed around after. BS. I'm on pregnancy #2 and still in A territory, even with the slight increase due to pregnancy.
I also never ate watermelon seeds, because you know, you could grow a watermelon in your stomach. I just (this spring) said f it and eat the seeds. Let me tell you, it makes eating a watermelon a zillion times easier.
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
@beezeemarie my boobs didnt grow until after #2's birth. i mean they were already DD so i dunno...i am kicking myself for believing "don't wear a bra at night or your boobs won't grow" if only i would have worn a bra i wouldnt be size Z
+1 to sleeping with my hair in a bun! I cannot sleep with it down.
Fffc: I'm in the waiting room for my appointment and some old man is playing candy crush with the volume ALL THE WAY UP. I'm about to rip the phone out of his hand and throw it.
also WHY TF do they put the geriatric department with the OB department?? I can't handle these old people who keep sitting right next to me! There are a million other chairs!
@jessirh I want it too, for the Fourth of July this year! I feel personally offended and affronted that Amazon doesn't have it in a tank top version. Debating if I really want it so badly that I'm willing to pay for shipping...

So you're saying there's still a chance!

Scurried over to Amazon for that shirt and was also sad. Tho after your panel pants trick, I think you'd be able to make that shirt a tank!
I wash my hair once mayyybe twice a week. Day 1 - wash, day 2-3 - still ok enough to wear down without being gross, day 4-5 - baby powder (because I got sick of paying for dry shampoo, I'd use an entire bottle in 2 weeks!) and hair up, day 6 - hair up in messy bun, day 7 - repeat. I shower to wash my body every other day, unless I've worked out or just feel icky. Also, I don't really care what my hair looks like unless we're going to do something with others.
I also have to sit down to do my hair and makeup, especially at this point in pregnancy. My hair is super long and thick, taking forever to dry/style. I'd pass out if I had to stand the whole time!
@dogperson11 - Those silica packets come in very handy for me. I'd hoard them proudly.
@bluejeanbabi05 - I did the same thing after my 3 hour test. Had a giant Starbucks frap with a cookie and had a donut with all the sprinkles when I got to work. I'm sorry that you had to take the 3 hour test and hope everything comes back normal. I'm still a little grumpy with my former midwife who had me go directly to the 3 hour test 2 months ago just because I'm plus-size, even though it turns out I have the GD.
I get my hair wet every day because I have to shower every day. But, I only shampoo every other day. My hair is so baby fine that it really shows the greasy quickly, and if I try to stretch it out further than every other, my scalp feels itchy.
@carries2018 Sorry for the nipple trauma! That sounds horrible. My cat stepped on a nip yesterday and I pretty much flung him off me. It was no bueno.
@beezeemarie I hear you on the boobs thing. I've been waiting, as most of the women in my family are D's and up and I'm just over here with my barely B's. SO says they are bigger now, but I think it's wishful thinking on his part.
@ariz17 I loathe a close sitter. Years of being a bus rider has honed my mean mug skills. I sit on an end and put my purse in the chair next to me. I have no probs looking completely bitchy, even at elderly people. It typically works.
@sdarling2010 I got a really comfy plastic rolling chair from Ikea a while back and it lives in the bathroom now. I will stand up to brush my teeth and that's about it. I don't like undoing all of the shower's work by getting tired and sweaty.
Ok: my FFFC: It's been 2+ weeks since I've remembered my prenatal vitamin and supplements and I don't feel bad about it.
@dogperson11 Since I live in the PNW, EVERYTHING is damp/wet almost all the time. If I have em, I toss a couple in my tennis shoes when I take them off. I like to put some in each storage tote before I put in in the shed, especially Christmas ornaments because some are the cinnamon & glue ones and I don't want them to get moldy. I have some fancy jewelry and important papers locked away and keep several in the safe. During the really rainy season, I'll put them in the window sills to help prevent moisture accumulation in the windows.
Catching up! @bluejeanbabi05 my test is next week and im def having all the sugar in the world right after (it ll be ready in my purse) in case i have gd and have to change my diet. Just like @jessirh i have curly hair, and i have a lot, but its very thin. Up until very recently i used to flat iron the ish out of it most of the time. It becomes super oily after 2 days when its straightened so i would wash day one and then rock straight day one and two, pull it up (ponytail) day 3 and wash it day 4 morning. If i let it curly then i can go a week without washing them, though everytime ill shower daily i have to untangle it other wise its a catastrophy at the end of the week and i have to shave it all off lol. I have to pull it up at night cause we spoon and he just doesnt like eating my hair lol
@beezeemarie +1 on the boobs thing. My mom has none whatsoever so i kinda lost all hope... They got bigger during preg but im usualy on the A side as well.
(*tw* yesterday while walking with H after meal around midnight we witnessed a guy in the park being beat up by two men VERY BADLY his screams were horrible.) We were calling the police but i kept turning around every two secs to make sure they didnt see us call the police and didnt follow us...i was actually scared.
I guess my FFFC i realized just yesterday i was pregnant and couldnt run anymore... Nor walk very fast.
My FFFC: I have eaten entirely too much food and sugar everyday this week! I'm a bottomless pit! And apparently I don't care what/when I'm eating - ice cream for breakfast - why not?! Brownies for lunch - go for it! You get the idea. Usually I'm really good at self control and holding back on cravings but this week just wasn't my week!
I'm determined to get back on track this weekend and while DD is at the inlaws Sunday-Wednesday.
FFFC/PG brain is real: I forgot I was pg or something and belly flopped on the bed. I had the covers all bunched up so it softened the blow around my chest but still.
Immediate freakout but kid has been kicking since to let me know - hey I was sleeping!
ETA my bed is very high and I'm pretty short so it wasn't as dramatic as the gif.
This technically belongs on a TMI thread... but it's a victory and a confession.
I had a little ingrown hair on my leg in the crease near that part (you know, THAT part) and couldn't see it cause of my bump to get rid of it. Well, THIS GIRL just got rid of that hair! I feel like such a winner.
@sdarling2010 I eat about 5 dark chocolates every work day and then when I get home I eat a sucker, some ice cream, and a juice. It's delicious and my boss said the chocolate is good for my baby, so yolo. But good luck getting back on track! I will try to join you but can make no promises.
@yasandson that's horrific. I don't blame you, I would be terrified if I was in that situation too. @canonmom413 very jealous. I have to get a one piece suit because of stretch mark issues (partially embarrassed but mostly worried about getting moar!)
FFFC: I obsessively check the shipment tracking on packages that I'm expecting, as if that will affect when the package will show up. Like, I have a package that says it will arrive tomorrow - no joke, I've checked the tracking at least 4 times today.
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
@beezeemarie i dont blame you. A few times in the past months Amazon would say id receive my order on x day all day but towards the end of the day prior to delivery it would change to today before end of business.... So i always check to see if it was updated to something else... Since i hate missing deliveries and having to go all the way down to drug store to ask politely that very rude lady to hand me my package. (really dont know why they keep her working there, she gives attitude to ERRRRRONE)
@VLillyV thanks girl! I'm totally ok with 1-2 treats a day and it usually isn't hard for me to stick to that. Something about baby growing this week made me hungry for any and all things, regardless of nutritional value!
@beezeemarie same here! I obsessively look at tracking info. I can't help it!
@jessirh I'm hoping it fits! They only had smalls left. I normally like the mediums from mm...but the reviews said the shirt fits big so fingers crossed!
FFFC: I took the longer way home today so I could sit in stop and go traffic at a bottleneck on my route home so I read some FB and TB updates since I was hella busy today.
TTC x 1.5 years.
Acupuncture, Femera x3 cyles, and HSG. BFP in September 2014, DS born June 2015. TTC x2 months. BFP January 2017.
Oh I love that shirt @bluejeanbabi05 ! My FFFC: I had selected a crib for my registry but planned to purchase ourselves. It cost about $150. I got an email from my step mom today that my folks would love to buy us a crib! I changed the registered crib for one that costs $350! No regrets.

I wash my hair daily if I have plans/work because it's also really curly. If not, its large and in charge. I'll pull it back if I don't wash it.
I have small boobs, though pregnancy has given me some. Along with large nipples.
right now my butt hurts from being in the car for the last 6 hours, but I'm drinking a Coke from McDonald's so it makes up for everything.
Not only do I blow-dry sitting down, I also brush my teeth in bed cause standing for 2 minutes first thing in the morning is hard.
